Good morning friends, I hope you guys are well.
I am so excited for today because we are going to shop till we drop.
Our theme is Valentine's Day, this is going to be the ultimate Valentine's Day shop with
me and Haul.
We are going to Target, Dollar Tree, Aldi, Walmart, Hobby Lobby, there's one more, what
is it?
Michaels!
I want to go to Michaels.
I'm going anywhere and everywhere and I'm going to share with you everything that I
find so you can decide if it's worth getting off your cozy couch to go shop for yourself.
I'm also just really excited to decorate for Valentine's Day so stay tuned because my next
video should be my Valentine's Day and decorate with me.
If you're new, welcome, my name is Trisha Miller.
I hope you'll hit the subscribe button and stick around and come shopping with me.
We have a lot of places to go to.
Let's get started.
Okay, the first stop has to be the Target dollar spot.
It always grabs me the second I walk in and I was actually pleasantly surprised because
they were still pretty well stocked.
It was early January when I was there but as you guys know, they started putting Valentine's
decor out in December and we were out of town.
I hadn't looked at it yet so this was all brand new to me.
I love what they have.
They have the cutest things so all of these little decor pieces that light up I think
are perfect for a kid's bedroom or a bathroom or a shelf or a tray.
I mean, there's so many options with the Target dollar spot items.
You can get really creative with them and I also was thinking if you have kids and you
like to do just a little gift for them on Valentine's Day, there were tons of choices
like those boxes that I just showed you.
There's little candles.
I love little candles for a tray especially if you have just that open spot on your tray
and you think to yourself like it just needs one more piece.
Those heart shaped candles would be perfect for that and then again, just these cute little
stuffies for your kids for Valentine's Day.
I love to just put something out on the morning of Valentine's Day.
We'll do a special breakfast like Valentine's doughnuts from Krispy Kremes or something
just tasty like that and just a little gift or a little box of chocolates for my kids
and then another thing that I think is good for a tray item or just a spot where you feel
like you need one more little piece are these little glass votive holders.
It was $5 for two and they had them in white and then a dark pink color.
I love to go pink with my Valentine's decor.
I'll add some touches of red but it's mostly pink and gold with just a little hint of red.
I think because there's so much red from Christmas that I'm just kind of redded out
at that point for my decor so I definitely go heavy with the pink.
I loved these vases.
They had them last year.
If you have a parent or a grandparent that you like to do a gift for, they're so fun.
You put water in them and you can put just one rose per spot and I thought these little
frames were so cute too to give to your best friend if you're doing a Galentine's or again
grandparent's gifts with a picture of your kids in them.
And then this neon light, I was honestly thinking for Rory's room for year round.
Sometimes those items are good just not for Valentine's Day but for the whole entire year
and I was really impressed by this $5 tray.
I thought it was so cute and then this mat.
I absolutely love this mat.
I, spoiler alert, did not buy that mat and I'm kind of regretting it.
I'm going to go back and see if they still have them because I thought it was really
cute and scalloped edged items are just always my favorite for home decor.
And then more of the items that they had for gifts for your kids if you do something for
Valentine's Day, it said that they were creaseless hair clips.
I don't know how they're creaseless because I feel like that would definitely leave a
crease in my hair but let me know if you've tried them and if that is true that they don't
leave a crease in your hair.
I'm just more prone to it because I have wavy hair but they had, there was a theme in the
Target dollar spot and it was definitely hearts and the queen of hearts.
I noticed that a lot with the theme and then a lot of cherry items for Valentine's Day.
I didn't see that in other stores but it's definitely something that Target is putting
on for this year for Valentine's Day but these little snackle boxes are always so fun.
I think about teacher gifts.
I like to do just a little something for each of my kids' teachers for all of the different
holidays so just filling that up with some candy for a teacher is just a really nice
gift idea.
And of course the blankets.
I am always so drawn to cozy, comfy blankets and those are only $5 and they're good too
if you have a bench in your home or a porch that you like to add a throw blanket to if
you're out there in the winter so and oh and this one you guys.
So here's what I was thinking for the DIY.
They had a bag that your kids could paint or watercolor cards which I mean I kind of
wanted to buy those for myself because I love to watercolor but I was thinking for grandparent
gifts.
Again if you have kids and you have grandparents that you want to give something to for Valentine's
Day it's just an easy way to have your kids do a little DIY for them and I think they
will love it.
And then there was a couple more spots where I felt like it was a mix of Valentine's plus
some early spring decor that they're starting to put out so I thought those spoons were
super cute if you do a coffee bar or a hot cocoa bar and then I was so excited for this
sponge.
I love it when Target puts out the dollar sponges for different themes.
I think that was an egg.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
It took me a minute to figure out what that shape was but I thought the strawberry was
so cute too for spring and summer.
And then these were just little table runners and I was really impressed by the quality
and they have a neutral one you'll see me pull it up now for all of my friends that
like to do neutral decor.
I thought that was beautiful with just the feminine touch of the ruffles and of course
everything is $5, $3, or $1.
I'm trying to show you the prices as I go through.
I can't link anything from the Target dollar spot but at least this gives you an overview
of what they have right now and I did get the impression that they're going to be stocking
more stuff because they had some empty parts at least in mine that I know they're going
to be filling with seasonal decor.
I love kitchen items for the different holidays so those heart shaped tablespoon measuring
cups and then they had, I'll show you in a second, but they had some actual measuring
cups as well.
There's that, the hearts, the ace of hearts, the theme that they had with the playing cards
this year.
And I thought this was such a cute set.
I also thought about for this if you have little kids and they have a play kitchen,
I used to put things like that in Rory's play kitchen for the different holidays and she
loved it so that's an idea for you and I just love those measuring cups with the hearts.
I just think they're so fun.
And then just some really cute glass cups.
I was really impressed by everything that they had in the dollar spot.
This was a serving tray so if you were hosting something for Valentine's Day, maybe you're
having a girls night at your house, a cake stand, I just thought that was really sweet
and you could use it for appetizers or desserts.
I mean there's lots of different options and that little dish I instantly thought just
for candy, you could just put some fun little treats in there and have that on the counter
for the season.
I loved the pink one for these little heart dishes.
So so cute.
Tons of stuff in the Target dollar spot.
Also for your kids' Valentine's for their class, they had pre-made ready to go Valentine's
with the bubbles already attached.
It could not be easier.
I love that.
I love it when there's a shortcut like that, especially if you have to get 24 of them ready
for your kids' class.
So keep your eye out for things like that and just little gifts for your kids for Valentine's
Day.
So many options here.
All right, after the dollar spot, I moved to the back of our store.
It's like the back center area where our Target has more of the home decor stuff and I loved
these mats.
They were $10 each.
They had them in pink and red and they were just super cozy and I felt like you could
use either side of the mat, but they had a pink heart and a red heart.
And then I was so intrigued by these.
It's a hand towel.
It's called a noodle hand towel and I knew that my kids would be totally confused if
I hung that up in the bathroom, but it's just one of those really fun items you could just
try and it's just, they had pink, they had red.
It says that it's absorbent.
I don't know.
I was very interested in them.
I've never seen anything like that.
And then they had some really cute, just normal hand towels that they have for the different
seasons.
I loved that last one.
I just tend to go simple when it comes to my hand towels.
I don't want them to be too busy and I just loved the simple pink hearts on it.
And then Target went all out.
They had shower curtains for Valentine's Day and in my head I was thinking these are the
fancier towels.
They just look nicer and more upscale and I thought they were really pretty.
And then they had the matching mats to go with that.
And then on the other side they had another shower curtain.
So I don't know.
I think it's fun.
Let me know if you put a shower curtain up for Valentine's Day.
I don't go that far with my decor but I did think that was just a fun little thing to
do and I really liked those towels with love written out.
And then my absolute favorite item was right here.
So they had this fun, fluffy, heart-shaped pillow with a scalloped edge.
I love a scalloped edge.
But this blanket right here was my absolute favorite item.
It's just beautiful.
It was a nice blanket and it had, you can see the heart-shaped pattern.
I just thought it was so pretty.
I would use that year-round.
They had it in red and then a cream color.
I'm waiting until they go on sale after Valentine's Day and I'm going to try to snag one of those
because we didn't need a $25 blanket but I really, really liked that one.
But that would be more of a splurge item for me if I got it.
And then I'm starting to move towards the section where they have all the hearth in
hand and they had the threshold items.
And what really impressed me was all of the banners.
I thought this gold heart metal banner was so pretty and just really elegant and different.
I have not seen anything like that.
So that was really fun.
And then they had just these really plush-looking hearts with the ruffle.
It's almost like little pillows made into a banner.
And then they had some ribbon.
I think this was in the wrong spot but it was a candlestick holder.
If they had two of them, I wanted to get it but I couldn't find where they were supposed
to be.
So they just had that one.
And then they had some really pretty candlesticks.
It's real candlesticks.
And then the candle charms.
If you were with me for decorating for Christmas, I did my own hack with thumbtacks for those
and you can use thumbtacks and you just stick them right into the candles and it just gives
them like a little bit extra.
Mine were a gold star shape for Christmas and it's just fun.
It's one of those fun things you can add to your real candles or even your battery-operated
candles to give it a little something extra.
And then blankets galore, of course.
And I believe those were $15 each and then some plush pillows.
And then I couldn't help myself.
I had to check out this tiny little espresso cup.
I was thinking for my tea but it was almost just even too small for tea but it was so
cute.
And then these napkins.
These napkins were so beautiful.
We don't use cloth napkins in our home but maybe one day if I get extra fancy, I'll get
something like that.
But I thought they were so pretty and I love them in the white.
And then they also had some towels that have kind of like almost identical colors that
would match just right there.
And then they have hearts on the bottom as a border.
And I really liked that.
That was something unique that I hadn't seen before.
Alright, haul time.
Target did not disappoint.
I still think they're going to get more Valentines, especially in the dollar spot because it's
still a little early in this season.
One thing though that threw me off is that they, so they had Valentines Day, a good amount,
but they're already putting out a ton of spring decor.
And then I have that internal battle of, oh, I kind of want to look at spring, but no,
back up.
It's not even Valentines Day yet.
Let's focus on Valentines Day.
So I was in there a lot longer than I showed in my filming and I was perusing and cruising.
Okay.
So let me share what I got.
Let's start with the dollar spot.
You knew I was going to get this.
I bet anybody who's been following, when you saw me show this dollar sponge, you knew I
was going to grab not one, but two because I got one for my mom.
I love when Target comes out with these little themed sponges.
I mean, how cute.
If I'm doing the dishes, if this brings me joy to have a fun shaped sponge, get the sponge.
It's only a dollar.
So I got this one.
Then in the dollar spot, I also got, I got two sets of these.
These are the little votive, pink glass votive holders.
I like these because they're perfect when you have that spot when you're decorating
where you think in your head, it just needs like one more thing.
What is that one more thing?
These are perfect for that.
And I have a battery operated little votive candles that I'll put in here and it'll just
give like a fun little glow.
It's hard when like the holiday season is over and you have all this beautiful glow
in your house with your decor and then all of a sudden it's gone.
At least me, I love to just have extra little lights and glow throughout the home.
It just makes it more cozy.
So this is perfect for that.
So I got two sets of these.
These were $5 each and then the only other thing I got in the dollar spot are these planes.
I like to put these on Rory's bathroom mirror.
For anybody new, Rory is our eight year old daughter and she loves just little fun things
like this.
I'm not going to go like full on Valentine's decor in the kids' bedrooms like I do for
fall and Christmas, but I do like to add just a couple of little touches here and there.
I think that was it for the dollar spot.
So now moving on to the other sections of the store.
I couldn't pass it up.
It's the wildest thing.
It is called a noodle hand towel.
I'm going to put it in our main bathroom that we use the most, which is right off our kitchen,
right off of our mudroom.
I'm going to hang it and just see my kids' reaction, but I do think it dries your hands
and like how fun is that?
They had it I think also in red.
I just went with pink because I have a lot of red decor already plus like after Christmas
I'm just leaning heavy on the pinks for Valentine's Day with like some sprinkles of red because
there was just a lot of red going on at Christmas, but this was too fun and it wasn't that expensive.
I'll put the price on the screen when I did the shopping, but I think it was only $5.
So I grabbed this guy and then I just had to buy these for myself.
These are just like the cozy little slippers.
They actually have a really sturdy bottom.
I have several pairs of slippers like this, but the bottom isn't firm at all and so this
was kind of nice.
I can wear them, you know, when I'm walking Annie outside and things like that and just
be a little cozy for the Valentine's season.
So I got these.
I got this for Rory for Valentine's Day.
I plan on just filling it.
I like to do just a little something on the counter for each of the kids when they come
downstairs on Valentine's.
I'll decorate and so I just wanted to get a couple little items like that to start looking
because if you don't buy them now, they tend to just be gone by the time you get closer
to the holidays.
So I got this for Rory and I thought it was good for more year round.
It has the heart for Valentine's Day, but then just like a generic pink bow on it.
So I thought this would be perfect.
And then for the only other thing, this really isn't, I mean that wasn't really decor either,
but I just love to show you guys what I got.
I ended up getting these two boxes.
So I got Rory a heart shaped one and then I got Liam the rectangle box.
It's just super convenient when they have the class parties, you always have to send
in a decorated box.
So I went ahead and grabbed that and then I'll get some stickers that they can just
kind of customize it and personalize it and I usually cut out the letters for their name
on my Cricut and we'll glue it on.
So I just like to start with the base of this for $5.
It just makes life so much easier than using a shoe box and trying to wrap it.
So I highly recommend just doing this and they had some creative ones where you can
like build your own, but I just wanted it to be done.
And then the only other thing I got, I don't know which kid is going to choose to have
them, but I'm just thinking class Valentine's and so they had these little fidget spinners
that have hearts on them that I thought would be perfect.
I got 24 of them that should cover either child for their classes, Charlie our oldest
is in middle school so they don't do any more Valentine's stuff, but for Liam and Rory is
what I'm thinking and so I'll just have these ready to go and then hopefully later on in
the shopping find something for whichever other child they want for their class and
just start collecting that stuff so that we are ready to go when Valentine's Day comes.
Alright, next up, Dollar Tree.
I'll give you guys a warning about Dollar Tree.
When I first walked up, it was all spring decor in the window displays and I got worried
that they just completely skipped Valentine's Day.
They didn't.
They had a ton of Valentine's Day decor out, but they were starting to already clear stuff
to add all of their Easter and spring decor.
So if you're going to go to Dollar Tree, I would get, I would get there quickly.
I have a feeling once February actually hits that they're going to basically be spring
decor.
I like Dollar Tree for a lot of reasons.
One, they are really good to go to for your kids' Valentine's class gifts.
I was actually kicking myself for getting the stuff at Target already because it's
obviously way less expensive at Dollar Tree.
It's $1.25 and you can get more in the packages.
So I kind of wish I waited, but I ended up finding some good stuff in here too.
So if you're doing a class party or if your kids are doing class Valentines or if you're
just doing like a birthday party soon, you can always load up on this stuff because they
had so many options that were so fun and just different stuff that I hadn't seen before.
And it's just nice to, you know, I, I go back and forth on whether I'm going to do a little
thing with their Valentine because I know at the end of the day it's going home and
some of it is just kind of junk, but it's so fun.
I remember as a kid having Valentine's Day parties at school and being so excited for
the stuff that we get.
And so I try to remember that and just like not think about the practical side of me of
will these kids actually play with this stuff?
It's not a time to be practical.
It's a time to be fun.
And so they had a ton of options.
Those little skateboards are so fun and those are already attached to the Valentines, like
just like those dinosaurs.
And that's really nice because then you don't have to think about how to attach them to
the Valentines when your kids take them into school.
And something I also noticed at Dollar Tree that I hadn't seen before, they had some really
nice gift bags.
I was really impressed by the gift bags.
So if you need something like that, head over there.
And then they had so many like just foil hearts and they spelled out the word love and they
have all of the different garlands, which to me, these are perfect if you're hosting
a party.
It reminds me more of party decor or if you decorate just like the morning of Valentine's
Day for your family, that would be the perfect decor for that or a class party because it's
like nice and flashy and bold.
And then these signs they have every single year.
I actually did a DIY and my Valentines decorate with me video last year using these signs.
I made them look completely different.
I will link that video for you if you're looking for some fun DIY ideas.
And that's for me.
That's another reason I like to go to Dollar Tree is they have so many possibilities with
their stuff to do DIYs and change it up to your own decor style.
And since my Dollar Tree has now gone to the fancy $5 and I think what's the other?
I think it's $3 the other amount that they sell things for.
We had some nicer stuff in a little corner.
I thought those bears were really cute, actually.
Oh yeah, $3.
There you go.
Those are great for centerpieces if you're hosting a party or even just put on your table
or in your kitchen for the day of.
And they had all the candy.
So much candy.
And then they also have just a crafting area.
So if you're doing gifts for grandparents, this is a good area to grab a couple items
so your kids can make things.
They have stickers.
They have all those.
I've done DIYs with those wooden hearts before.
A lot of the times they'll bring back the same items, which is really nice.
These ornaments are perfect if you do a Valentine's tree.
Last year I did a love tree.
I called it.
I basically just took branches from outside and I spray painted them pink and I hung the
hearts on them for our kitchen island.
And so those ornaments are perfect for that.
And the Dollar Tree never disappoints with their ribbon.
They always have the cutest ribbon every single season.
I loved that one.
That was my favorite for the big ribbon.
And then they have one that I get every single year that has these like cut out hearts in
it.
I'll show it to you in a minute, but they have it in multiple colors.
And it's just, it's good quality in my opinion.
And it's unique.
But even that one with just a little bit of glitter and the glitter doesn't typically
come off.
But again, proceed with caution always when you bring glitter into your home.
I always joke that once glitter comes into your house, it never leaves because it is
so true.
It goes everywhere.
But this is the ribbon I was talking about.
That's my favorite.
It has just, it's hard to see on the camera, but it has cut out hearts everywhere.
And they have it in a deep red color, that hot pink color, and then the light pink color.
Every single, every Valentine's Day, I get multiple of those because it's so good.
All right.
Dollar Tree haul.
First of all, I forgot to get my heart shaped marshmallows from Dollar Tree.
I kind of just showed you the candy aisle, but I didn't go down there.
Totally forgot.
So I'm going to need to go back because I love to get just like cute little treats for
our Valentine's Day hot cocoa bar that I set up.
And I will include that in my next video when we decorate the house.
But I need to go back.
They have the cutest little heart shapes.
Sometimes they'll do larger marshmallows.
Dollar Tree is where it's at.
They are just the hidden gem of the store.
All right.
So here's what we got.
I was thinking as I walked in, why did I buy little Valentine favors at Target when I knew
I was going to Dollar Tree?
Because Dollar Tree has the best class sets of, they just have more in them.
Whereas the Target ones only had eight.
The Dollar Tree ones that I got had 12.
And so it makes a difference.
Only $1.25.
Whereas the Target one, it was multiple dollars.
So if you have a Dollar Tree, go there for your kids' class Valentine's.
And they have some cute stuff as I showed you guys.
So I ended up getting the little, what are they called?
It's the game where you hold the paddle and hit the ball.
Alexa, what's the game where you hold the paddle and you hit the ball?
Paddle ball.
That doesn't sound right.
It says paddle ball right on the package.
Probably should have just looked at the package.
So it's paddle ball.
Isn't it called something else?
Does anybody know what I'm talking about?
If you're an 80s baby, let me know if there was something else that it was called.
But we got these.
So I got multiple packs of these.
So Liam and Rory will have to decide who gets the little fidget spinners,
who gets the paddle ball boards for their classes.
And then the only other thing that I got was ribbon.
I love this die cut ribbon that has just cute little hearts in it.
It has like scalloped edge on the outside.
Words are hard right now.
I don't know why, but words are hard, you guys.
So just forgive me.
So I got two of each.
I got the, let me see if it's in focus.
The dark pink, the light pink, and the red.
And this will be the perfect amount for class party favors,
teacher's gifts, friends gifts, family, all that stuff.
A little goes a long way with this.
So I loaded up on it.
It's the same ribbon that I used last year.
I'm glad they brought it back because it's my favorite.
All right, on to the next store.
Let's go to Aldi and see what they have.
Aldi typically replenishes their new stuff in their Aldi finds on Wednesday.
And it's a Tuesday.
So fingers crossed that they put some good Valentine's stuff in there.
Let's go.
Let me know in the comments if you have an Aldi near you.
We've had one for a while, but I just recently started going
and looking in their section where they do their Aldi finds.
And it is always so fun.
They had a whole section for Valentine's Day.
It was perfect timing.
I was a little worried it wouldn't be there until,
I think Wednesday is when they typically restock their items.
So I might go back again because I think this was early Valentine's for them.
But right away, I saw some really cute gifts for the kids.
These are just little squishies.
My kids love squishies, especially my eight-year-old daughter Rory.
And then they had these vase fillers.
If you watch my Valentine's decor videos from the past,
I always get comments asking where my, sorry, I said vase fillers,
my bowl fillers, where they're from.
And I got them from Target years ago.
And I can never find something close to link for you guys until now.
The one that I picked up first looks so similar to the one that I already had from Target.
And so it was so fun to finally see a product that looked like that.
Now these, these are so heavy.
So don't be fooled by the appearance.
I was already thinking of possibilities.
They could be bookends on a shelf.
They could just be in a table centerpiece.
I don't know.
I thought those hearts were beautiful.
And I know some people like to go more neutral with their decor
so that is perfect for that as well.
And then these plates are a Pottery Barn dupe this year.
There's actually several items at Aldi that are Pottery Barn dupes.
And so those plates were beautiful, especially if you're hosting.
I love just a little dish to cook in that's in a heart shape.
I love some muffin pans that are in a heart shape.
I already had one or else your girl would have been getting that muffin pan for sure.
Those little things are what bring me joy in life.
And then these are, these, they had a couple of sets here.
So they had placemats and then they had a table runner that matched them.
And I'm trying to show you on the box because it's hard to see if I just pulled them out.
It doesn't show you what they fully would look like.
I thought they were all so cute.
And what I really like is that there's something for everyone.
So there's always usually a more neutral option.
And then there's one that's like big and bold.
If you like to go big and bold with your decor.
And then some that are kind of in between and just really pretty.
And so I was really impressed by those.
The placemats, I think they came with six placemats, but it might've been four.
I'm so sorry.
I'd have to go back and look, but I actually, I think I'm almost positive it was six.
So enough for a full table.
And then these bags, I was kicking myself again for getting that bag for Rory at Target
because the one on the left, the purple one with the heart, she would have loved.
I know she'll like the one I already got, but I just, I always tend to go to Target
for everything.
Let me know if you're like that.
And I forget that other places actually exist.
And then I go to the other places and I find something that's less expensive that I like
even more.
So I need to, in 2026, expand my shopping horizons a little bit more.
And I apologize, guys.
I totally forgot to turn my camera the correct way when I was filming, but I left this in
there because I wanted to show you all the $10 pillow options that they had.
And so don't worry, there we go.
We're back to normal.
Sometimes I get nervous when I film in stores and I just quickly try to set my phone up
when nobody's around.
And then I forget to turn it the right way.
I'm not, I'm not a big shop with me channel.
If you are here, I just like to do them occasionally to show you guys.
So I forget what I'm doing sometimes.
But anyways, blankets galore.
They had so many and I thought they were really cute.
The one with the flowers was very much a good like, have it for Valentine's Day and then
it transitions into spring.
I really like decor that you can do that with.
You could also, I'm going to give you some ideas when we do our decorate with me in my
video where you can take some of your preexisting Christmas decor and turn that into Valentine's
decor.
Anytime you can kind of double up and get longer use out of items.
I am all for it, but they had a lot of good options.
And then I found some dog toys.
I was so excited for Valentine's themed dog toys because I always get Annie.
She's, we switch out Annie's collar for whatever themed holiday we're in.
And then she always gets a new toy.
And so the two hearts that I picked up first, they have a very loud sound when you squeeze
them.
It almost gave me a jump scare.
So I did not get those, but I really liked the colors of them.
And then that rose rope toy I loved.
I almost got that one, but then I was realistic and knew Annie would just pull the rose part
off.
This one, the heart shaped rope one that I was holding seems very sturdy.
This one is perfect for a puppy.
I felt like the heart and the little reins, either a small dog or a puppy would be perfect
little chew toy for them.
And then they had some women's shirts, three different styles.
It's hard to see the full effect, but you can kind of see in the picture.
But I thought those were really cute.
And I love when they do that.
Sometimes they'll do pajamas for women in that section.
I got some around the holidays and their cards are beautiful.
I also, Trader Joe's has some really inexpensive, beautiful cards like this as well.
But I wanted to show you guys because they were $1.99.
And I feel like if you went to Hallmark or the grocery store or Target, they're going
to be a lot more expensive than that.
And they're so pretty and unique.
And then they had some oven mitt sets with some towels and they kind of follow that same
thing where they try to go more neutral with one and then give lots and lots of options.
And they had so many, I think there was six different options for oven mitts, which is
just really fun.
If you're not somebody who likes to really do a ton of decor, sometimes just adding a
couple towels and some fun oven mitts and then just one, maybe one centerpiece and then
you're good to go.
And if you want something fun for a centerpiece, these glitter trees, I've done a love tree
in the past.
They told you guys with branches and ornaments, and this is basically that, but it lights
up and it's ready to go for you.
You don't have to go look for some sticks or spray paint.
So easy option for you if you want to do that.
And then they had some really pretty taper candle sets.
And this one is another pottery barn dupe.
It's a marble heart tray.
You could use it on a shelf.
You could put it on your countertop.
There's lots of possibilities.
And I thought that that was so pretty.
And then I wrapped it up.
They had some candles.
They always have some fun little candles.
And then those had some lids to them with the heart shape if you wanted something more
of a display piece.
And it was a Paris Hilton line.
Who knew Paris Hilton was working with Aldi?
All right, time for an Aldi haul.
I could buy everything in Aldi.
I just recently started doing the Aldi finds, I think at Christmas time.
And I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing because I am obsessed and I love
everything that I see in there.
And it took so much self-restraint to not buy everything that I saw.
But I already have so much Valentine's decor.
So I was trying really, really hard.
So here's what I got.
I love these pillows.
I try to get pillow covers instead of actual pillows so I don't have to store them.
But these are the softest pillows I think I have truly ever felt.
First, I was thinking I'd put them on the front porch because they're big.
They're bold.
They make a statement.
And you could certainly see them.
But they're so soft.
I selfishly want them to be inside so we can enjoy them.
So I'm thinking the living room couch.
Maybe the back porch because I go out there a lot and put the fireplace on.
We'll see.
Stay tuned to my next video when we decorate.
We'll figure out where we're going to put these.
But I love these dog toys.
You know I had to.
Annie.
I don't want to wake her up.
Is asleep right over there right now.
And she is going to be thrilled.
I love to give her when I do my home decor for the certain season or holiday.
I'll switch out her collar and then I'll give her like a couple new toys for the season.
How cute.
I couldn't.
I could not turn this down.
It is in the shape of a heart.
It's a rope toy.
So I'm hoping it's really durable.
I really wanted to get the rose toy.
I thought it was the cutest thing ever.
But I know the second she gets it within a minute she's going to pluck that rose off
and the toy is going to be broken.
It just didn't feel durable.
But this one feels really, really solid.
So I'm so excited.
It's in the shape of a heart.
So cute.
All right.
Other soft things.
A blanket.
We have a ton of blankets.
But they all have holes in them.
And I'm at the point where I'm tired of having blankets with holes in them.
So I'm trying to get some newer ones.
Annie likes to eat our blankets.
When we're not paying attention she'll grab the blanket and start shredding it.
You hear the rip and you know she's doing it.
It's a bad habit of hers.
She's a little bit of a handful sometimes that we love her.
So I wanted to get a new blanket.
I went back and forth.
But I just thought this one was the cutest.
This is the one that has just the little conversation hearts on it.
And they're so soft and very affordable at Aldi.
I love their blanket choices.
Okay.
Last item are these candlesticks.
I think that they are so pretty.
Let me try to give you guys a close-up.
It's the red ones with the hearts on them.
They're real candles.
I normally like to do battery-operated candles.
Bonus points if there's a remote that I can turn them on with.
They were just so beautiful.
Something in our entryway table.
Something maybe even just in the middle of our island.
But I couldn't pass these up.
I thought they were beautiful.
So I got four of them.
They're just red with the pink hearts.
And then the last thing is not a Valentine's item.
But I love that Aldi carries the Scrub Daddy, Scrub Mommy.
And in this case, the Scrub Caddy.
Mine has gotten so gross in our kitchen.
And so I was really excited to get this.
So had to grab this while I was there.
If you have an Aldi and you've never been there,
you've got to go check it out.
All right.
Where are we going next?
We're going to Hobby Lobby.
Okay.
I'm sitting outside of Hobby Lobby.
And I'm trying to give myself a Hobby Lobby pep talk.
Maybe I'm alone in this feeling.
But I get so overwhelmed in Hobby Lobby
because there's so much stuff.
And that's a lot for me to say that
because I also go to Walmart.
And there's some time of chaos.
Always there is some type of chaos going on in Walmart.
So I get stressed out there too.
So I get, okay, I get stressed out in Walmart.
I get overwhelmed in Hobby Lobby.
And I feel like I'm still recovering
from doing Christmas shopping at Hobby Lobby.
I almost skipped it,
but I'm going to do this for you guys.
Because if it saves you having to go into Hobby Lobby,
I'm just going to, I will probably show less
because I could literally get lost in there
for an entire month
and still probably not show you
every single item that's in there.
The people that do the only shop with me videos,
you have my respect,
especially if you go into Hobby Lobby.
All right.
I can do this.
We can do this, right?
Let me have some coffee for a minute.
Let me know if you feel the same way about Hobby Lobby.
I love it.
It's just so overwhelming sometimes.
Okay.
Got my coffee courage.
Let's do this.
We only have one Hobby Lobby in our area
and I'm always curious if they're set up the same way.
So let me know in the comments
if when you walk into your Hobby Lobby
and you go to the decor section.
So for me, that's to the right.
The first thing you see is where they have
like the baking for the holiday or season.
And then they have all of the plates
and paper napkins and things like that.
Because for me, that's what always hits you first.
And I normally walk right by that section,
but the twine caught my eye
and I'm thankful that it did
because all it took was finding those
Linkin Hearts balloons to make me so excited to be there.
And my attitude completely changed
because I like to decorate.
I obviously, I decorate our house for Valentine's Day,
but then the night before actual Valentine's Day,
I do a little bit of extra stuff on our kitchen island
to decorate for my kids.
So when they wake up in the morning,
we have some fun decor on the island
and then they get a little treat.
Sometimes it's just a box of chocolates.
Sometimes it's a little gift.
And so they had some like the perfect items for that.
So I grabbed a couple of those
and I'll share with you after this haul.
But then they had these interlocking wooden hearts
and they had them in a couple of shades
and then they had a pink and a red one.
And I felt like they were a little out of place there
and they were beautiful.
I love those for a tray table
or a shelf that you're decorating.
And I already have these.
I hosted a Galentine's party
either last year or the year before.
I think actually both years I hosted one.
So I have little things like that that I got from here.
And I always love things that I cook with
that are on theme for whatever holiday.
It just brings me joy.
So that spatula that was in a heart shape,
I thought was so cute.
And they had a ton of tumblers and glasses with straws.
And then those straw toppers were only $3.99,
but 40% off.
So you probably saw the sign when I first came in.
Everything was 40% off.
And if you don't typically shop at Hobby Lobby,
if you walk in and what you're looking for isn't 40% off,
give it some time.
Give it until the next week
because it should always be 40% off at Hobby Lobby.
Never go in and pay full price for their seasonal decor.
I know sometimes their other stuff
is a little bit more expensive.
It doesn't go on sale,
but never pay full price for their seasonal decor.
Give it some time.
I promise you it will go on sale.
But anyways, they had just such cute little kitchenware
and just little bowls.
I like to just take a bowl like that
and put snacks in it in the afternoon.
Words are hard right now.
And I don't know, it just makes it more fun.
I enjoy that.
And then this was similar to what I saw at Aldi
with just the scalloped edge.
Valentine's tends to bring out the scalloped edges
in the hearts and I am here for it.
I think it is just so pretty.
I loved these hearts.
So I think they're advertised as trays
because they do go in in the center.
But I thought they would be so pretty on a shelf
or on a mantle.
And they had them in the white and the red
and the light pink.
And these little containers
that you could sneak some little candies in for yourself
or let your family know about it
if you're a better mom than me.
I always have a secret candy stash for Steven and I.
And then these wooden trays I thought were fun
and you could jazz that up with some red Hershey kisses
if you wanted to have that pop of color
on them on your counter.
But they had so many fun things.
So I instantly was transformed
into a much happier person when I saw all of this
and I was not overwhelmed.
I was enjoying the process.
These plates I almost got
but I felt like they were a little too expensive.
They were 9.99, 40% off.
I don't know, doing the mom math there,
I think that's about $6 per plate.
And so I didn't get them
but I thought they were so pretty.
And then something I started to notice
in a couple of the stores were these brown branches
with just accents of Valentine's Day.
They had them when we go to Michael's later.
You'll see them as well.
So it must be something this year
that's kind of a little bit more trending.
But I thought they were really pretty.
But you can also just get your own branches
and do your own DIY if you wanted to do that.
And they always have some really good banners to hang up.
They were only 7.49, 40% off.
I thought these were so pretty.
I called them banners.
I guess garlands is what you should officially call them.
But this little cow one was making me giggle.
I almost got it just because his hair.
I mean, check out the hair on that thing.
I thought it was so handsome.
I don't know, I thought it was so fun.
It's just something different
that you don't typically see in your Valentine's decor.
And I noticed that throughout the store,
they did have a lot of cow items,
which I know that in their art section,
they have a lot of pictures with cows.
So maybe that's a Hobby Lobby thing.
Let me know if you know.
But lots of options there with all of the garlands.
And then if you like to transition,
I thought this was unique.
If you like to go from Christmas to Valentine's Day,
but not quite get rid of that cozy Christmas feeling,
they had these little gingerbread houses.
They had some baking items
that were on theme for Valentine's Day.
And then some nutcrackers.
I've never seen Valentine's nutcrackers.
I just thought that was really sweet
because I know some of us like to hold on
to the Christmas spirit.
So that's the way that you could transition
that decor very easily.
And the gingerbread houses do light up.
And they had the smaller red one.
And then they had the bigger pink one.
I was looking for a price for you guys to show you.
And remember, 40% off, $10.99.
I thought that was a really good deal.
And I thought that those were so pretty
and just a way to keep the Christmas spirit going.
I've told you guys several times
that I like to do gifts for teachers
for different holidays and seasons.
So these Snacko boxes quickly caught my eye.
I thought they were such a good price.
And they were so cute.
They had the red heart.
They had the pink heart.
And it's just an easy thing to add some candy to.
Also, if you do gifts for your friends or your kids,
that's another good item.
And then they did not disappoint
with all of these different options
that you could use for bowl fillers.
I also instantly think of DIY,
just garlands and banners.
If you want to make those,
there's so many possibilities with this section.
You could make a mini banner with those.
Just put a little twine through the top of the envelope.
They had a bunch of options for the heart ornaments.
If you do a Valentine's tree, these, same thing.
I felt like that would be a good filler inside of a bowl.
Or you could put them just scattered
throughout little trays throughout your home.
There's just so many options and so many sizes.
I also thought with those little felt hearts,
you could just simply take some museum glue
and attach it to a candle.
And your candle is instantly transformed
into a Valentine's candle.
So there's just lots of options.
I loved these crocheted hearts.
I only saw a couple of them.
So they might've been out of place,
but I thought they were just different.
And you could put them in a vase with some flowers
or just some branches.
Speaking of branches, here you go.
Those are same branches that I was talking about
that I'm kind of seeing everywhere this year.
And 40% off, just such a good deal.
And then they always have next to that area
and at least in my store, more DIY options.
And I saw this little mailbox
and I thought that would be so cute for your kids
to take to school for their class box
that they have to bring usually on Valentine's day
for kids to put Valentine's in.
$7.99, 40% off.
So it's actually less expensive than what I got at Target.
And you could paint it or have them take markers
and just decorate it or fill it with stickers.
And then this little tray, again,
an item that I felt like was out of place,
but there were a lot of them.
And maybe it's just so people could do a DIY,
but it's a finished product
and I thought it was really pretty.
It's just a cutting board
or you could put it on your back counter.
Lots of ribbon options.
Hobby Lobby never disappoints with their ribbons
and it was manageable
because it was just in one little area versus Christmas
where it's like three aisles of just ribbon alone,
I feel like.
But I really liked the black one.
I'm typically drawn to pink on Valentine's day,
but that contrast of the black
with the different colored hearts,
I thought was really, really pretty.
And then they had kind of to the right
of where they had the mailboxes and stuff.
They had all of these options that you could glue on,
but then they also had stickers.
And so I thought that was good
if you got a plain colored mailbox
and just add the stickers to them.
I almost got this.
It's an embroidery kit.
I don't know how to embroider,
but I am lately just really embracing
just crafting and DIYs as a stress reliever.
And so I really wanted to get one,
but then I'm also doing puzzles.
Your girl has become a puzzle person
and I need to focus on one stress relieving activity
or else I all of a sudden become stressed
because I have too many stress relieving activities
that I'm trying to take on.
So I didn't get them,
but I thought they were really fun.
If you like to just do something,
maybe in the evening,
if you're watching a show
and you want to do something with your hands
instead of having your phone in your hands,
I will occasionally, if I'm watching a show,
I'll grab my phone and I'll start scrolling
while I'm watching my show.
And I have to catch myself
because that just seems so ridiculous.
And so I think that's a good opportunity
to have something else in your hands
that's not a screen.
And so it's just fun to have something like that,
like a little crocheting activity.
But these are all the stickers.
I loved the puffy heart stickers.
I kind of wish I got those for Rory's mailbox.
I didn't, spoiler alert,
but I did get some other ones.
I'll share with you guys
after all the haul of what I got at Hobby Lobby,
but they had a ton of possibilities over there.
So if your kids like to do crafts,
go check it out.
Or if you like to do crafts,
I just think there's always really nice options
at Hobby Lobby for that.
Since we started at Target
and I got the $5 boxes for Liam and Rory,
I'm kind of price comparing for you
so you can figure out the most,
you know, the least expensive option
with the cutest options for you.
And Hobby Lobby 549, 40% off
was definitely less expensive
than the $5 box that I bought at Target.
And if you, your kids like to kind of
take on more of a project,
they had, I thought this was so cute.
It's a boom box.
They have that box
that you can make yourself and design.
They have a puppy one.
They had a vanity one
that I think my eight-year-old daughter, Rory,
would really love.
It's right there.
And then I feel like there's always
like a ladybug theme
when they come up with these kits
because it's like a love bug.
And so they had one of those right there.
And so it's always fun too
when it's ready to go
but you can still have your kids
make it themselves.
I would like to formally apologize
to Hobby Lobby for all the trash I just talked
and all the complaining I just did
because I had the best time
in Hobby Lobby today.
I found so many good finds
even beyond Valentine's decor.
So I found some stuff for the boys' bedroom
with their little glow up that I'm doing.
I found stuff for Stephen and I's room
but you're gonna have to wait to see that stuff.
So stay tuned.
I'm focusing on Valentine's today
and don't worry.
I have quite a bit to show you
from Hobby Lobby.
Let's start with...
Okay, I'm trying to do it in like a theme.
So Valentine's gifts.
I showed you the makeup bag
that I got for Rory at Target for Valentine's Day.
I found these claw clips
that are in the shape of a heart.
I don't think I showed them to you
in the shop with me.
They're so cute
and Rory is really into claw clips right now.
So I thought they would be perfect
to add to her little bag.
So I got that for Rory.
Teachers.
These snackle boxes are so cute.
I got...
So Liam has two teachers.
He is...
His math teacher is a boy.
So I got a red one for his math teacher.
His homeroom teacher.
I got her a pink one
and then Rory just has one teacher
and I got her a pink one
and I'm gonna fill them just with little treats
and I like to do...
If you watch my back to school video with me,
I shared with you guys,
I like to do little gifts throughout the year
for teachers,
especially around holidays.
It doesn't have to be anything big
but as a former teacher,
it just means so much
when you show them that you're thinking about them
and that you care.
The best gift you can ever give a teacher
is a handwritten note from their students.
It doesn't cost anything.
So don't forget about those teachers.
So I saw those.
I had to get these.
I thought they were so affordable.
They were $3.99
and then 40% off.
So love, love, love these.
These would be good too
just for gifts for your kids
to fill up with some treats on Valentine's Day.
So I got those.
Okay, let's go home decor.
I don't know what I'm gonna do with these
but I thought they were so sweet.
They're these little knitted hearts.
I think I showed them to you guys
when we did shopping
but they were $3.99, 40%.
I mean, everything is 40% off.
So I will put the prices on if I have them
but they are just like such a good deal
and they're so cute.
Like in a vase.
There's just a lot of possibilities with these.
So I had to get these
and then did I need another banner?
No, no I didn't.
But did I still buy one?
Yes, yes I did
because it's so cute.
And as you saw, they had it in red too
and this was a debate
whether I got red or pink
but I have a lot of red decor as I told you.
So I went pink on this one
and this one, the price is what really drew me in.
$7.49, 40% off.
So you can't make this for less than that.
So I was debating possibly making something like this
for a DIY
because I love to do DIY decor with you guys
when I decorate
but it was ready to go for me.
So I went for some convenience.
I also, back to the kids
for their Valentine's boxes
that I got at Target for their class parties
I got some really cute stickers.
They had these foam stickers.
We had these
and again, everything was 40% off
and then these really big ones.
I might use these for a DIY
because they're nice and big
but I got these so the kids could decorate their boxes
and customize them.
I also, even though I already got some window cleans
for Rory's bathroom
I might add some now to the boys' bathroom
or even maybe a bathroom down here
because they had just some really cute ones
at Hobby Lobby.
So I got this one
and then they had a really big,
where it spells out, love.
I couldn't pass them up for the price.
Then another DIY.
I always need twine
when I'm doing different gifts and things.
So they had the sweetest little pack
of light pink, magenta and red
for a dollar,
less than what the Dollar Tree would charge
because it was $1.99.
I mean $1.25-ish
because $1.99, 40% off.
So I got this.
I kind of wish that I actually got two
because this is just gonna be so helpful
for different things
like the pink one for Easter.
I can use it for other holidays and seasons.
What else?
Oh, we have a couple more items.
Okay, again, don't know where I'm gonna put these
but they called to me
so I got them.
You could use them as a little dish.
I think I'm gonna set them on our shelves
like this for decor
but we'll see.
We'll see what I do with them
but they're beautiful.
They were $9.99, 40% off each.
And then another thing,
I love a scalloped edge.
If I see something with a scalloped edge,
I'm instantly gonna go look at it
and this was no exception to that.
It's a cutting board
but I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna add it
to the back of our kitchen
behind the stove
where I have my other cutting boards.
Maybe put it on the side like that
but I just thought it was so sweet
so I had to get that one.
And then the only other thing,
I told you I like to do,
I like to decorate on Valentine's Day
for the morning of
when the kids come down.
I have little gifts for them
on the counter
and then I like to decorate the island
with just fun party Valentine's decor
so they had so many choices.
I went ahead and got them.
I got a love balloon.
XOXO.
And then this was really cool.
I've never seen anything like this
but they, let's see if you can see,
it's balloons that you blow up
and they kind of interlock
so I thought that was really fun
and then the only other thing
are these fans.
And then if I end up posting
like a Galentine's or a girls night,
I can put this stuff out for that as well.
I think that's everything.
Again, sorry Hobby Lobby.
You are amazing.
I had the best time.
I will never complain about your store again.
It does get a little overwhelming at Christmas.
I'm just gonna put that out there.
All right, on to Walmart.
Guys, Walmart was a complete bust.
I don't know what happened.
I went through the entire home section of the store
and they had zero Valentine's home decor.
They had a bunch of aisles of Valentine's candy
and like gift bags and cards
but no home decor
and I thought on their website
I saw home decor.
I don't know.
It wasn't in my Walmart
so sorry friends.
There's probably a lot of videos
for Walmart shop with me
so we're gonna move on now to Michael's.
That will be our last stop today
and I'm almost confident
Michael's will have a ton of decor
so let's go over there.
Right when I walked in
they had a whole display
of the different options for mailboxes
for your kids to take to school.
I loved the pink checkered one.
I hadn't seen anything like that
in any of the other stores
and of course I'm gonna cost compare for you guys.
So these were $6.99
but they were 40% off
so I believe that is the least expensive option
out of all the stores that we went to.
So if you're looking for something
where you're not spending a ton of money
and it's ready to go for you
Michael's is where it's at.
They even had these mini ones
so I'm trying to show you the size comparison.
Those were only I believe $4.99.
No, those were the bigger ones.
Ones above them right there.
They had for $4.99, 40% off
and that'd be nice maybe
if you have a kid in preschool
and there's only like 10 or 12 kids in their class
and they don't need a big one
so that's always a nice option to have it be smaller.
I thought these little heart shaped picks
that look like roses were so cute.
Oh, I'm sorry it's not 40% off, it's 30% off.
I'm looking at the tag right there
behind where we're at
but these are really cute.
I like how they had it set up like it was flowers.
I don't know, it's just the little things.
I love that display.
I thought it was so adorable
and they had tons of options.
These have little berries
so this is just again fun transitional decor
from Christmas where you feel like
you're holding on to a little bit of that holiday
but you're now transitioning
into the next holiday of Valentine's Day
and then I think I actually have some of these picks
that I've used for some DIYs in the past.
I know the pink and red little starbursts I've used from,
they have them for 4th of July
where they do them in red, white, and blue
so it's fun to see that they're coming out
with different colors for that.
I loved these wreaths
especially this little pom-pom ball one.
It was so soft and cozy
so that would be perfect for a kid's room
or even really anywhere in your house
and then this was so plush.
It was, you just squeeze it and it's so cozy.
I loved this one with the bow
and it's kind of taking that theme
of all those big bows
that were popular this year at Christmas
and then transitioning that into a Valentine's wreath.
I just wanted to snuggle with it.
They had some other options as well.
They used Christmas ornaments
for the one on the far right
and then so many pillows.
Cherries are definitely something
that I'm seeing out there for Valentine's decor
this year with pillows and decor
but I really liked at Michael's
that they had the checkered pattern.
I didn't see that anywhere else
and so I thought that was fun
to transition that into the decor
and then I loved that heart pillow right here
in the hot pink color with the pom poms.
I liked that color.
I thought that was just unique and fun
and then they had some more cherry pillows on the side
and then I found where they had
some of their garlands that matched those wreaths.
So it's always, you could take a wreath,
you could put it up on a mantle
or up in your kitchen
and then follow it up with one of these garlands
in your home
and then your decor looks cohesive.
It goes together
and I just thought that was fun
and this, I know Rory would love
to have this garland in her room
but I'm trying to not go fully all out
in every room of our home.
Just some little things here and there
upstairs for Valentine's Day
but it was just a cozy little garland
if you're looking for something like that.
Lots of sparkle,
a lot of the same scalloped plates
that we're seeing in different places.
This ribbon I haven't seen before
and I really liked it.
It's hard to see in the red
but it's basically the heart shapes connected together
so it came in red
and it came in pink
and it's easier to see in the pink
so I'll show it to you with that.
Can you see that it's in that heart shape?
It might be a little hard to tie
but I thought that would look so cute
on a gift for somebody
and then I actually have this garland
of the inner locking hearts.
It's really fun and cute.
You could also probably make that yourself
with some pipe cleaners.
I thought about that instantly
when I was in the store
and they had some decor
if you're decorating for a Galentine's
or a girl's night
and then these,
they're advertised as packing foam
and I got them when I hosted a Galentine's
a couple years ago
and I scattered them kind of around
just where the food was
and they're so cute
but if you have somebody
that you're sending a package to
for Valentine's Day,
please buy those.
I would bring me so much joy to open a package
and have those come out
and then this was similar to the tray
that I saw at Hobby Lobby
but it was almost twice the price.
I do like that it was the darker tones.
I thought that was pretty
and then I found just a couple of picks.
They had this cute one.
It was, it's big.
So for size perspective,
these are really big
and then the lips.
I was dying over these lips.
I, it was massive.
I don't know what you would do
with your home decor with these lips.
I kind of wanted to get one
and put it next to Stephen's spot
in our bedroom
just as a joke
but they were, they were something.
I don't have any hauls
as you know from Walmart and Michaels.
Michaels had some really cute stuff.
I just had gotten so much
and I knew that I didn't need anything else
but thank you so much for joining me today.
I hope you had so much fun shopping.
I had the best day.
I'm ready to decorate for Valentine's Day.
