SMART / DIECK (ESP) | Ice Dance Rhythm Dance | Finlandia Trophy 2025 | #GPFigure

And now to the Spanish team of Olivia Smart and Tim Deke. How will they contend? They must sense all of the drama backstage when they were required to skate to high intensity performance music for the 1990s. They chose Robbie Williams. Let me entertain you as the perfect backdrop for their rhythm dance. Nice rocker turn from Olivia. And they're safely through the element that caused the problems in China. Shake your ass, come over here, now scream. Can they have more of these difficult turns called cleanly by the panel? Let me entertain you by Robbie Williams. The music for Olivia Smart and Tim Deke. And they did just that. And you sensed the pressure dissipating from the team as they worked their way through the five required elements in their rhythm dance. And they currently have a pattern dance type step, giving a level two, although under review by the panel. And that should boast a better technical element score. And they'll be so happy to achieve a cleaner skate than the Cup of China, which took them out of contention for medals there. This, Mari Franssing, you stayed alive. Well, in this Hunger Games rhythm dance, it's the Landia Trophy. That's pretty good going, staying alive. And indeed, as we look through their difficult entry into the Twizzles, Olivia, who started her own podcast recently, has been amazingly open about the mental stress of competition and how there are times when you can be so consumed with the pressure that is crippling. And they've managed to quash that pressure enough. Tim just having to work very hard within the Twizzles there. And there that rocker turn. So good example of outside to outside edge. Maybe that the reason as we look through the back bracket turn and the forward Mohawk, those two turns simultaneously performed could be two levels in themselves. And for each level in that element, it can add anywhere between half a point to seven tenths of a point. And on this occasion, unlike the leaders, Laurence and Guillaume, Olivia and Tim have achieved a level two on that one element. Now, this team have an epic free dance. So it was the rhythm dance they needed to secure. Well, and they've done that. 74, the season's best 76. Olivia rightly acknowledging that, of course, better than China as smart and deep move in to second place.
