Hi sweet friends! Welcome back to my winter decorating series. Today, we're refreshing
both our entryway and dining room for this new year. After Christmas, our homes can sometimes
feel a little bare, so I'm sharing simple, cozy decorating ideas using everyday decor you
probably already have. Nothing complicated, just warm and inviting touches. If you're new here,
we've already refreshed the kitchen and master bedroom, and I'll have those videos linked down
below so you can catch up. Because our entryway is on the smaller side, I like to keep the layers
simple but really cozy. I'm starting by adding that DIY Hello Winter wall sign, and who says
signs are out? If you've been around here for a while, you know I'm not big on chasing trends.
I do love decorating with pieces that feel meaningful and timeless, things that I genuinely
love. Sometimes I do mix in those trending pieces here and there, but my focus is always on creating
a space that feels peaceful and cozy. The rug in front of our front door is well loved, so I wanted
to give it a fresh new look for the new year. Since our kitchen and entryway connect, I wanted
the rugs to feel cohesive, so I chose the same runner to mirror the one that I have in the kitchen
and help everything flow together. Now moving into the dining room, you'll see I kept out a few
Christmas pieces that I love, but I'm refreshing them with everyday and seasonal accents to give
the space a fresh look for the new year. I'm starting with a simple winter tablescape. I've added
this cream fringed runner that almost feels like a cozy sweater down the center. I'm layering in
four stems of pine branches with pine cones, overlapping them to hide the long stems. I love
this soft winter color palette. Creams, whites, and moodier tones like browns, greens, and cognac
bringing natural variations into your home makes it feel warm and layered. I also like to reflect
what I see outside my windows, and here in West Virginia, these pine cone branches and color palette
is exactly what I see outside. For a little added texture, I'm layering in these whiteberry stems.
They almost look like snow, and the brown leaves tie back into those moodier winter tones. And one
of the most important tips that I can share with you when working with faux stems is to mix and
intertwine different varieties. This helps everything look more natural and realistic.
Moving over to the hutch, I'm not going to change the top shelf display,
but instead I'm just going to add a touch of greenery to tie back to the wreath
and give it a refreshed look. I'm also keeping the olive green dinner plates that are displayed
during Christmas and simply swapping out the salad plates to match the evergreen set.
The two deer and the pine arrangement that I decorated with at Christmas
already still feel perfect for winter, but to tie everything back to the table centerpiece,
I'm adding in those same whiteberry stems. Before we wrap up, I just wanted to say thank you so much
for being here today. I truly feel honored that you chose to spend a little bit of your time
with me. If you enjoyed today's video or found it helpful, I'd really appreciate a big thumbs up,

As always, I'd love to end our time together by going to God's word. Today I'm reading from
Mark chapter 12 verse 30, where Jesus answered the question, what is the most important
commandment? He says, love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul,
with all your mind, and with all your strength. Let's quickly take a look back at where we
started today with a few before and after shots. I hope to see you back next time. I'll be sharing
our family room and lots more winter decorating ideas. Until then, have a wonderful rest of your
day. Take care, God bless, and I'll see you soon. Bye friends!
