Come scuba diving with me in Corfu before heading on a little road trip in the north of the island. Corfu is a stunning place and hiring a car and exploring is definitely something you should do while you are there. We stopped in Sidari and headed to the beach for a cocktail before heading over to a beautiful rock formation called Canal d'Amour. What incredible views in Corfu!

Good morning everyone, welcome back to my channel.
For those of you who don't know me, my name's Chelsea and today I'm going scuba diving.
I'm very excited.
We have a car hired for today as well so we're going to drive up to the north which is where
the diving is from.
We're going to go diving and then we should finish that around 2.30pm and then we're going
to explore the north.
There's like a canal and a beach that I want to see and then we're just going to stop off
wherever else we fancy.
So we're doing a little road trip around the north of Corfu today.
We've made it to the north of Corfu and we have found the dive centre so I'm going to
go fill in all the paperwork, tell them that I'm safe to dive and then go diving.
Okay so I have never been greased before this trip but I will try my best to identify some
of the fish.
So I was actually very lucky and the first thing that we saw was an octopus.
So I would say about 15 to 20 metres down there was a thermocline which just means that
the water suddenly changes from warm to cold and I was absolutely freezing.
Here I am showing you how cold I was.
I believe that this is called a fireworm.
I'm not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure that's what this is.
Many of these fish are cold but they were quite cold.
Fireworms, more of the starfish, another octopus.
And then we had our surface interval before heading on our second dive.
And on this dive we actually got to see an anchor of an old ship which was quite cool.
Lots more starfish.
You can just about see the blurry bit of the water.
This is the start of the thermocline.
I'm currently in the warm water and I stick my hand down into the cold water.
It was freezing and then we swam down into the cold water so it was cold for quite a while.
I was very thankful for the hood on the wetsuit.
So this fish, I actually wasn't sure if he was just chilling like that or if he was
injured somehow but I honestly didn't know how I would possibly help him.
You're not really supposed to touch the wildlife or anything.
So unfortunately I did just leave him but I hope that he was okay.
And then we saw another octopus.
We managed to see three octopuses between the two dives and I actually found one myself
which I was very impressed.
And then that was the end of the second dive.
Hello!
A little update, I have just finished my diving.
It was great.
It was, oh my goodness, very cold at one point.
So as you're going down, I think it's, sorry there's a bus, I'll tell you in a second.
And the bus is not there anymore.
Oh my gosh, I have a mark on my forehead from my mask.
It pushes against my forehead, it's quite uncomfortable actually.
No, I don't have a monobrow, I just have a mark on my forehead.
Great.
Anyway, I've forgotten exactly what I had been saying but basically I did two dives
this morning and on the first one we saw, like the coolest thing that we saw were two
octopuses.
Thank you.
Yeah, the coolest thing that we saw was two octopuses.
The first one the guide found on our way out and then as we were coming back to the boat
he poked it, I don't agree with touching the wildlife, but he poked it and it moved and
it swam out.
I don't think I got it on video because I didn't have my camera on at that time and
it moved quickly.
But it inked because it was scared and I felt really bad for it.
But it was also cool to see an octopus ink because I've never seen, I've never seen
an octopus swim in the ocean before.
But yeah, poor little guy.
Some people went up quite early so there was a few of us who just stayed down and we were
just exploring more and more.
And then I found an octopus.
I was very proud of myself because they're really hard to spot.
But yeah, I found an octopus just before we went up and we went on the boat, moved to
our next dive site and then on the second dive we saw another octopus towards the end
of the dive.
So yeah, three octopuses in a day.
That was really cool because I didn't see octopus much at all in Utila.
So that was nice.
He did get our hopes up a little bit and say that we might see some tuna fish and some
very small sea snakes.
We didn't see either of those.
But that's fine.
But yeah, I enjoyed the dives.
Nice and calm.
I didn't like one part of it.
It was freezing.
So when you're going down, I think it was like, I don't know, I didn't have a dive computer.
So I'm not sure exactly, but maybe at like 15 to 20 meters, you'd see like the thermocline
and it would be like blurry water, which is where the hot water mixes with the cold water
and it creates the blurry effect.
And I put my hand in it and I was like, oh no, that's really cold.
I hope we're not going in there.
And then we went in there.
So it was freezing for, I don't know, like 10 minutes.
It felt like longer because it was so cold.
And then we slowly started coming up out of the thermocline and it was really nice again.
But yeah, that was on both dives.
Got really cold.
But other than that, it was really good.
Nice to do some diving again and see the different types of fish that they have here.
I will say between here and Utila, I did prefer Utila, but it's a huge barrier reef.
So of course it's going to have more interesting things, but it was still cool.
And I'm sure if I had more time diving here, then I would see more cool things as well.
But yeah, we've just come to a restaurant.
We drove over to a place.
I think it's called Sudari.
I've been calling it that.
Sudari.
Yes.
We've come to Sudari.
There's a beach here and then a little bit further, there's like a canal I want to go see.
But for now, we've just come for lunch at a place called Paradise.
So yeah, just going to get some food quickly and then go to the beach.
Okay, so now we have finished our lunch.
We had some grilled mushrooms and hummus pizza.
We've just come to the beach.
And you can use these sunbeds with the umbrellas for free as long as you buy a drink, which is fine.
So mum got a water and then I got what was meant to be a mocktail tequila sunrise.
But then they charge the same for the mocktail as they do for a cocktail.
So I thought, okay, may as well have the alcohol in it.
So I have just a regular tequila sunrise now.
It's very nice.
And yeah, we're at the beach in Sudari in a minute.
I'll go for a swim.
Just enjoy it.
We probably won't be here for too long, maybe like half an hour or so.
Because there are a couple of other places that we're going to want to stop.
Okay, so we're leaving that beach now.
We were there for maybe like, I don't know, 20 minutes, half an hour.
It was a lovely beach.
But I went into snorkeling and I just couldn't see anything.
Yeah, basically got in, didn't see anything because there was so much sand everywhere.
It had all been like churned up.
So I was in the water for like not even a minute.
So I got out, just dried off.
And now we're going to go to the other place I really want to see up here.
And then on our way back, just stop off and look at the view.
So I probably won't go swimming again.
So I'm going to change into my dry bikini.
So I'm not wet for the whole car ride.
This is the place.
Oh my goodness.
It's called the Canal d'Amour.
And I wish we could have more time here because it's just beautiful.
Highly, highly recommend coming here earlier in the day and spending a bit more time here.
It's beautiful.
There's a nice bar that has a pool nearby as well if you want to get drinks.
But yeah, it's absolutely beautiful.
Highly recommend coming here.
Hiring a car, coming here.
Yeah, it's beautiful.
We are on our way back now.
We're just driving back.
Turns out I left my straw in the cup at the beach that we went to.
Sorry.
Went back there and they haven't even cleared the cup so it's still on the table, which is great.
But yeah, now we're just driving back.
It's going to take an hour and ten minutes if we don't stop.
But we plan on stopping at a couple of places along the way.
And this one was just beautiful.
We just passed it in the car and I was like, I need to stop.
It was pretty.
Anyway, yeah, back to the car now.
We are in a town hall.
Cassiopea.
It's on the way back so now we have about another 40 minutes drive.
But we just got some ice cream.
It's a very, very beautiful town.
We had a drive around but there was no parking.
So we parked at the top of the hill, came down, got an ice cream.
But we haven't really got time to explore the rest of the town.
And I don't think we'll really have time to stop anywhere else on the way back.
So yeah, we're just going to go drop off the rental car and then get some dinner.
So that is it for this video.
And that is also the end of the Corfu series.
I hope you enjoyed these videos.
Please give this video a thumbs up if you did enjoy it.
