This video captures our full Island Peak (6,189m) summit push — from base camp to the top and back in a gruelling 14-hour climb. It was our very first mountain over 6,000 metres, and both of us battled altitude sickness along the way. My wife, Esther, was hit even harder by the altitude, but somehow we both pushed through to reach the summit.
There’s no narration — just the raw journey of the hike and climb itself. If you’re planning your own expedition to Island Peak, I highly recommend checking out Royal Holiday Adventures.
Island Peak was my first mountain over 6,000 meters and without doubt one of the hardest
things I've ever done. The summit push from base camp took 14 brutal hours whilst climbing and
scrambling with mountain sickness and headaches. In this video I'll show you the journey without
any narration, just the mountain itself and if you're planning your own ascent I'd recommend
checking out Royal Holidays Adventure and please consider subscribing.
That's a beast!
