Hello everyone how are you all doing And today's video suggestion comes from Luciane Sani Flores
She asked Rutinha to show us how to make a video about the growth of succulents
How long do they take to produce pups especially the rarer and variegated ones
I'm Professor Rutinha and you're watching the Professor Rutinha and Her Succulents channel
And to you who already loved the video's topic I kindly ask you to subscribe to the channel and give it a like
Every week I'll be sharing plenty of tips on growing succulents
We now have the rip button it's right next to the comments—just drag it over
and leave your likes so YouTube recognizes the video as relevant enough to share with more people
The first one Echeveria laulensis is a succulent I consider both easy to grow and highly attractive
This plant is amazing—it's one you practically don't need to do anything for
She actually just lets the little offshoots drop off on their own at the base of the stem—how long does that take
Many times we buy a little succulent and it ends up just sitting on our shelf in our garden
For a long time she didn’t actually let go of a single sprout not releasing any seedling to us at all
Thus like any other Equeveria Laulensis has a specific plant maturation period
so that she can begin to sprout new growth releasing her little
ones just as we human beings though we may be children need to mature
We need to grow and mature so that we can one day have our own children
The same thing is the plant usually takes about one and a half to two years for people around there
at a succulent will start producing offsets sometimes we buy a little plantle
And she's already letting go which means she's not a baby plant anymore
It was already a more mature plant than the one we originally bought which is why we brought it over to our garden
The logo has already let go of the baby Another little plant I consider even rarer in my garden
People meet Cereveria Pug—what a beautiful sight she's right here on this little elephant
This is her little spot—she stays here in the corner by the bookshelf which is located at the edge of the house
This area is sheltered from the rain and gets about half a day of sunlight so she'll enjoy some sun now
It's sunny here from now until around seven in the morning up to roughly ten-thirty or eleven o'clock
After that it's a very bright place all day long it does get some shade but it's still extremely bright
and also an environment where people have excellent air circulation so he takes it
Good airflow here and this little plant is one I also tried propagating through leaves
She even does it by leaves but she lets go of people—she starts releasing the little shoots right along the stem where I am
I have two one is already quite large and there's another one down below—I've already managed to remove that one too
Hold on a sec—I already have one here that's pretty big and it's already sprouting little offshoots too
His little ones are also noticing this and it's already looking a bit more wilted it just sits in the corner
From the shelf I can even bring a bit more forward here just like this one—it's the same
But the compact one is showing that this one is older while this other one is newer—how was it done
That's right so I always tend to root her in a place like that
where they don't get too much sun even morning sun is often harmful when you
It's like he's giving your little plant a good root shake with those tiny leaves all crisp and dry look at that see
I'm back with this plant—I had it for nearly two years and that's when it started dropping leaves
brotinhos are great but Pug—that's a succulent that's rarer one considered truly special
very easy to grow but she's generous—she lets her little ones go just like that so that's how it is
People just need to have a little patience—those little ones will come She asked me to tell you this
Also people from Variegatas—so Variegatas are actually these little plants tiny ones
but the ones that are harder to grow aren't quite as easy as they seem—there are some that are easy to grow and we have those too
Grow until then yes especially those cedars there which are very easy to cultivate
but generally speaking the faucets there are a bit finicky so we have to be careful with some of them
Take care especially now in summer—yes you need to be careful when cultivating got it
Be careful with your variegatas my people—most of my variegatas there are the equeverias
practically all of them let's face it they're either indoors or back here behind me
Here's my little stove I've got it just right—everyone her name now is
Silver River so I brought here you know to the greenhouse and it was the best thing I've ever done
Plant that there so I can grow it in the fall and winter I'll place it right in the middle of the garden when the time comes
She's doing very well now but with the arrival of this time of year I have to remove her mainly because
It's raining heavily she's already started losing many lower leaves and there's a risk of rot there
So the stem is here I've already taken a few cuttings from this beauty—it's already starting to branch out
some even clinging to tiny tails and we have to keep a close eye on them especially
So you see I brought this here for myself set up the greenhouse and put on the red shade
The issue with people putting on the red shade is that of course it will help you a lot right now with this
Intense heat on sunny days but the problem is those rainy weeks when it stayed overly cloudy
That's when the problem arises—the plant starts to wilt and the mold begins to appear so we end up
You gotta keep an eye on them especially the variegated ones—those are the real deal
People need to be careful and here Silver River means she started here
row little snacks here for me people after a couple of years or so that I had her she's
It took a little while yes but now it's already been two years since she started sprouting little ones—she's so much
She's always sprouting lots of new shoots at the base of the stem so actually this is something I've never done before
buds on the leaves and I always hoped she'd let the tiny shoots fall off at the base of the stem just like I showed her
ere for you but it's all good—this time of year has arrived spring is here and from now on it's all good
She starts quietly letting out her little changes so she's quite calm about it—after all she's been around a long time a veteran of the online scene
People this one's much harder now—I've already switched her substrate and placed her on the new one
The bowl is the same but the substrate is completely new and I was just observing it here folks
Look at how full of sooty mold she is completely covered in that black sooty mold—this is what people call fumagine
The little black spot you see in there looks like mold but it's just darker here in the light
Down below you can see it clearly so this here is nothing but the droppings from the guinea pigs
That little white spot right in the middle is the coon see So those are the waste products
That's harmful to the plant so what I'll do is apply an insecticide here
I wear these little chubby ones—look at their size they're so cute you see I wear them
The strong use is so now we also have here on the channel the new thing which is the shopping mall of
The canal where we're always promoting some of the products we use here
In the garden so you can right get these products through the link here
You're not required to do it—let me make this clear right away it's just a suggestion people always ask me
So the products I use are these ones and we're kind of promoting them over there
You're a partnership we have with these stores so we earn a small commission
It's not much but it suddenly helps us afford a pesticide which in turn helps us out
Hey in the garden so any help is welcome if you feel comfortable there right Or if you'd like we can go
I really appreciate it so I always use the one from Forte Inseticida—same thing a fly killer just in case
The plant starts there with leaves you know with a black eye so I also use something strong it's a fungicide okay folks
Those two products there—they are well I've always used them so I have them they're products that I rely on
People trust this that's the truth—no need to use it here in the garden and people will always be there whenever you go
Pass a product through your little plant here—think about doing it at the end of the day okay
If you're going or suddenly I want to go right away because at the end of the day I won't be able to do it
I could come by but I have to get her out of the place where she sunbathes—she can't stay there
you're not getting her under any circumstances not even in that sweltering heat so you'll have to take her somewhere else
Sombreado won't let this day slip by—tomorrow you can return her to the place where she is
It's such a hot sunny day that she doesn't even need to go out in the sun
People that scorching heat will burn you so be careful you know stay alert so you don't get burned
If nothing goes wrong then folks here's this one I'm passing along—it's for the crawlers
I use garden ants and aphids so that's what I apply—this is a strong insecticide I'm on my way
show you right here how I do it okay We'll apply it right there on the little plant
close enough so I don't get the others here wet right and it's totally fine—everyone said goodbye Coxonilha
It's a great product really great—I've been using it for years just look at the size there
because I had some cloudy days there it's been raining heavily and since she's kept here in the greenhouse
She's in that spot over there where she doesn't get much just because if I put her there she gets too much—she just feels it
So the aphids have already attacked—see we always have to keep a close eye on our little plants
People growing succulents there isn't as easy as we might think right So I'm going to do it
Now I'm going to leave her in that corner over there—can't forget her tucked away in the corner can I
She won't just grab it and she won't take the heavy heat during the day—let me see I'll put her on it
I'm right here in this little corner—it's nicely shaded so she won't notice I'll leave it here
She's the one here in this little corner just like I come every day now and it's even more so since we're here together
I'll take her out of there tomorrow and put her back in her usual spot and I'll talk to her too
variegata people we simply couldn't resist showing off this Tinker Bell variegata—just look at this beauty
The cutest little thing but growth is slow—she's been here forever I've had her a long time
Tinker Bell is the ordinary girl who grows up just like any other girl out there I suppose she’s no different from the rest of them out in the wild
garden so fast it's already variegated she's really quite difficult so I have this one very muc
Here's the little one and here I am too in this little spot right here in this little nook folks watch me turn around
Here for you all to see she's already producing little ones—look at this it happened spontaneously
In fact she already came with that other bigger one there and then these others showed up here
I only took one out and put it here but it's kind of struggling—this is the clavato folks this one's already
The clavato is this one this is the little clavato the clavato folks—he's even slower you see
I plan to trim that top section there in the fall and winter when it sprouts
stimulate both that one and the clavato just as much as Tinker Bell here to spark little sprouts then
How long does it take He’s already been here dropping off little ones and he came at the same time yet he’s still not here
en I believe people here are also thinking it'll be about one and a half to two years before they do
They'll start growing there right The ripening process begins and little shoots will emerge Here it is right here—don't you see
The plant that started producing small offshoots—these ones came last year plus others
They arrived around June or July last year right in the middle of the year
until they're letting them go quickly but we don't know how long this plant has already been operating
They had to live here with me so about six to seven months after they actually started
He’s already here right He came with a little one there so the one here who took about seven
months to sprout a little one there and their growth is extremely extremely slow right Like me
I'm telling you here I have another Tinker Bell—check this out I got this one as a gift it came with
Here she's normal—just came in with two super albino babies isn't that something
This little group of people I always nurture them here in my little greenhouse where I can control the watering
I bring them along because I can control the brightness that's why—especially these little plants
but rarer and harder to care for I bring here another rare individual—I consider this person rare because they are a
a plant that's not easy to grow is the Echeveria paniculata which is indeed a challenging specime
practically no one shows it anymore and honestly I almost lost this plant entirely
my garden I've cultivated her for many years she's an old plant here in my garden but this one
It's already the little one from the mother colony—I had one I used to grow on my porch out front
my home for years and I guess it reminded me of what happened—I think it was something like that people like her
It was catching rainwater when it rained and with the wind blowing so hard it was getting plenty of rainwater right
I'd already watered it too much so the stem rotted I removed a few leaves and that was it
And I managed to make a few adjustments okay I managed to save a piece of the trunk now I remember
You know people need to remember there are so many plants and from that little stump several shoots sprouted
If I hadn't managed to get the paniculata back for my garden I would have lost it forever—no one else would have had it
Yes it is a rare plant a rare plant indeed when we struggle to cultivate it
When you hardly ever see anyone showing I have this one and a few others—I’ve managed to make several
Thank goodness it's easy to remove but it doesn't tolerate being soaked
It's too sunny and with intense heat and lots of rain or overwatering she'll suffer
The best thing then is for you to grow paniculata there in partial shade with a bit of sunlight here and there
ot as strong in autumn and winter but you can grow it with a bit more sunlight that's all
At the same time it'll be harder for you—you'll face more difficulty she'll be fine for a while but eventually it'll get tough
just look how beautiful she's going to be absolutely stunning over time everyone turns out like that don't you think
The timing of succulent cultivation is wonderful—I wouldn't give it up for anything so there are many plants tha
People can grow crops there for years so we'll cultivate other areas for a while instead
ere paniculata isn't paniculata for long—you can manage for a while but once the heavy rains start it's a different story
Overcast with high humidity the broth starts to spoil right away so another seedling goes in
such a rare peculiar beauty I hardly ever show—she was vanishing right from my garde
I managed to save this beauty again and here we have Caioxe folks—this gorgeous thing that
I came here from Jardim Arte with Claudia Hélio Giovanni look at this most beautiful wonderful thing
People this is already a newer plant here for now that's all I can say about cultivation
It's that I'm growing this red sombrite here in my little greenhouse now you know
I put it in during summer—I always do—and it's a plant that isn't cultivated at this time
a plant grown in this greenhouse and regulated by the timing rules there
sweetheart it's definitely going to be like the others—juicy right The others are just old so here it is
It takes about one and a half to two years as she's a variegated plant and suddenly that time stretches out
a little longer she'll take a bit more time to deliver the babies but I've already heard you know that I
I saw Claudia Hélio Giovanni saying she's just a little plant there that's not too hard to grow
There's a little plant there that's not hard to grow—I'm really finding it excellent
The cultivar has been here for some time now and hasn't given me any trouble at all— the only thing she's done is
I'd need a bit more sunlight we can see the center isn't quite as closed up as it should be
But now we're in a period that's so difficult it's hard to give more sunlight to these
If they get too much sun they'll either burn or become overly dehydrated since it's so sunny
Too hot if you take a little sun then come the very cloudy days and the cores become leggy
so summer is really a time of year when you end up letting your little plant die
by autumn you're already celebrated because it's truly that way so if you manage to achieve it
letting her survive until summer is already plenty so the little plant caiocha is
but newer not yet—she's still developing but we'll see right let's see how it goes
Come back over the next few months and we'll be bringing you more updates on them another rare one
The people I consider rare and wonderful here in my garden are the Diamond States who are currently here
That little owl had been waiting forever in that white square pot already sitting there for ages
Let the little shoots go on the stem and nothing nothing about letting go tossing fertilizing and nothing nothing comes from her
So then I mustered the courage did the cut and left this part here for a long time folks
the greenhouse without planting she even started taking root and once she had developed a strong root system then I
I'm replanting it because it's a little plant I've had before and lost so this time around I'm giving it another try
I gave her some extra care and to my surprise check this out—her stem
What a sweet little thing look how many little babies I have— I just hope people appreciate these
Little ones stay put because they're quite thin you know—she's a plant so let me put that in
up here maybe I can show it better—since it's a variegated plant it's like this—
variegated plant with a pink hue and it becomes almost monstrous by mid-size so this is the plant that truly is
's just a different format so it's not easy for me to grow so if I do
saving just a couple of little ones here even one would make me very happy because the
The difficulty I had there you know in getting these little ones to stimulate these little ones wasn't
It was a small plant I'd had for quite some time—about two years—already in the garden
I have these tiny little babies coming in but they're so small they just don't survive you know
They weren't moving forward not really it wasn't even growing so let's see now if we can manage this here
make sure these keep growing stay alert here always watch these ones grow and develop further
The people I have the most trouble growing are exactly the ones that turn out incredibly well— it's been a dream of mine
People see her grow and she's perfectly justified in autumn and winter this plant of hers she stays
She's truly wonderful absolutely incredible—just look there isn't a single word to say it there are plants that do this
Nice people very beautiful right So this is one of them and I've tried many others—this one isn't it
The first one isn't really being cooperative right now but it's stubbornly holding on to this plant because I want to see how this plant turns out
beautiful and lovely there in autumn and winter and to multiply right because we know that when the
Some people have it others don't—I took a little cutting and it's already starting to sprout new shoots right there
And the roots over here are already sprouting new shoots I left the roots right here inside
people together because even the little notes I tried from the others didn't work out so I guess I have
quite a challenge here with the super bud here in my grow given my climate—this climate really is something
It's not favorable for superbol it's a plant that practically doesn't need water to survive
I get it it's way too little really too little and we always have to stay alert right So here
The multiplication of her by leaves I'm trying to figure out here is a plant that's relatively there is
Small but the leaves have already sprouted so there's a plant there that multiplies with ease
All we need to do is get the planting right just get the touch just right and she'll bloom beautifully
And the wonderful thing is we've been waiting so long so my lovely ones I brought some little plants over here
The difficulties I have with growing them and what I apply here just leaving some tips for you
Luciene asked for this—if you have any questions we can be producing it together
video we will definitely be producing it with great care and love sorry if I take a while
Sometimes our response is just that you know—sometimes you leave a question or a doubt there right
Sometimes we take a while to reply but that’s just so you know it’s not out of malice—people are just busy
really life isn't just about making videos and tending to plants—it's so much more than that
It also has the professional life then there's personal life family life and often many of these
People have so many demands and each one has their own story their own reason for carrying on with life
I pray that all of you have a blessed 2026 in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ that you may achieve
cultivar as seedlings from your plants and as soon as we can we'll definitely respond—yes I do like it
at you keep asking questions—I love that you do and I wish you all the success in
Your garden with your little plants a big hug to everyone and may you all be blessed by God
