Let's welcome Susan Gidel, financial astrologer to the podcast Cosmic Compass!
In this lively astrology chat, we talk about how to read your financial story based on your birth chart, how to invest using your own astrology as well as future predictions involving the housing markets, stock markets, the Federal Reserve and inflation themes in astrology.
I recently had an astrology reading with Susan and it was incredible! Highly recommend a reading!
Hello and welcome back to Cosmic Compass. Today we have an incredible astrologer on the show,
Susan Goodell, who is a financial astrologer. And this is a topic I've been wanting to get
onto in the show for so long because as more and more people are thinking about, you know,
the economy and where to put their money and how to use astrology to invest in the market,
when to hold, all of the different things that are happening in the world with new technologies.
I think this is just going to be so incredibly helpful for so many of you for learning how to
use astrology with money. So welcome to the show, Susan. Well, hi, welcome. Thanks a lot for having
me. It's nice to chat with you again. How did you get to where you are? How did you become a
financial astrologer? Well, I started out just interested in the financial markets. I grew up on
a farm. My dad raised corn. He always wanted to know what the price of corn was every day. I thought,
okay, well that's weird. How does it change every day? And so anyway, that led me to a day job
career in the commodity futures business. And my first job was as an editor for a trade magazine.
And so we would write about the markets and what was happening in the industry and that
sort of thing. And I had occasion to interview financial astrologers who were using astrology
to trade and make market predictions. And so I kind of got the bug early then that, oh, that's
something, that's something. But didn't really follow it up until much, much later in the late
nineties, early two thousands. But by then I'd worked in the business long enough. I understood
the markets pretty well and had always kind of been interested in astrology. So at the urging
of my astrologer here in Chicago, I started studying it seriously. And since I knew that
people had put the two together before, I said, well, that's something I know about.
Let me focus on that. So I did. And I think it's phenomenal.
Yeah. And I think it's so powerful when you make the conscious choice to specialize
in something unique in astrology because you become, you know, kind of the go-to expert,
the authority in something very niche. Yeah, this is pretty niche. I will give you that.
I'm fascinated by it. So with financial astrology, what, how can you use financial
astrology in your life? What do you use it for? Well, I think you can start with just the basics,
understand your chart from a wealth perspective. And for that, you can look at houses 2, 5, 8,
and 11. Those are considered the houses that contain money issues. And that's just to get
rolling. But at the far extreme end, where I sometimes go with clients is to take a look at
which markets you might trade best because you are connected well with their first trade
horoscope charts. So it runs a big gamut from just kind of understanding at a basic level, okay,
well, this is kind of what my life is going to be like in terms of wealth, what kind of
opportunities I might have, all the way to what should I trade and when should I trade it?
Incredible. And I know with the second house, it's like how you earn budget and save money,
right? So what you can go out and do to make money. And the eighth house,
would you consider that mainly your investment portfolio and your stocks and all of that, or
do you kind of combine both? No, I think that's fifth house.
Fifth house? Yeah, speculating and risk-taking.
So trading, the market is your fifth house. Yeah. Trading is more fifth house, I think.
Eighth house, I think is, well, we all call it other people's money. And for entrepreneurs,
I think of eighth house issues as clients. Clients are people that send you money across
the chart to the second house, as well as the traditional things that people look at
and consider other people's money, inheritances, lawsuit settlements, that sort of thing.
Wow. So with the fifth house of trading, if you wanted to understand someone's kind of
relationship to trading, you would look at the zodiac sign, the ruler of the fifth,
maybe any planets there. Will all of that give you information on how they trade?
Absolutely. And the second too. I think the second and the fifth are the two primary ones
to look at from an investing point of view, because it's how you earn income and then how
you take risk or speculate to generate some of that if you're investing. So, but yeah, absolutely.
The sign on those houses, the planet that rules that sign. And then you look to where that planet
is in your chart to see how good a shape it's in. And then what that planet rules and what other
planets in those houses rule for clues about the investment types that you might do well in.
And for my example, say the sun is associated with either your second house or fifth house,
the sun rules gold. So you might do really well in the gold market.
If it's the moon, the moon rules silver. So maybe the silver market is better, or you might
even, when I've said this to some people, they'd be like, well, I've always liked silver jewelry
better than gold. And so it can be like that too, that you just have a preference one for the other,
depending on where those planets might be in your chart. And same deal, another metal,
Venus rules copper. And so, and those are commodity, these are all commodity markets.
So kind of in my wheelhouse from understanding how the markets move and what drives them,
point of view as well. But yeah, anything like that.
For those that have Mercury ruled or Jupiter ruled here, would you say they work,
they make their money through investing in the travel industry, investing in future tech,
innovations, inventions, things of that nature?
Yeah, absolutely. And Uranus too, with the invention part. And Jupiter can be connections
with celebrities. Horses, because it rules Sagittarius. So you might have good luck at
betting at the horse track. You've got Jupiter. Oh my God, I love it. I have Sag in my second
house and that sounds fun. Yeah, it is fun. And also, the second and fifth house, they're both
going to be the same modality, right? Like mutable, fixed or cardinal. So they're going to
have a similar approach or energy as to how maybe you relate to money and you relate to investing
and giving away your money versus holding your money. Yeah. And Saturn comes into play too
with these houses. If Saturn is in your second or ruling your second,
it suggests that you're better off as a long-term investor, that Saturn wants to make money last a
long time. And to invest in things that Saturn rules, real estate, mining companies, the metals
that are mined out of the earth, anything that comes out of the earth is considered Saturn ruled.
Brilliant. But conservative as well. Particularly in the fifth house, to have Saturn connected with
the fifth house of speculation, to understand that you can't be the gunslinger kind of
investor. You have to be cautious. You have to do it for the long-term.
You have to have good risk management practices because Saturn wants to limit risk.
Wow. So to make sure you're really good at using stops on your initial trades, or
if you're really into it, to learn how to use the options markets
that offer the limited risk characteristic. Oh my gosh. Brilliant. For any of you have Saturn
in the fifth, I have Saturn in the fifth, so I'm going to start using that as a tool. And it's
wild because I booked a reading with you before this podcast, and I was telling you how I started
investing many, many years ago in 2016. And I just put my money in and I leave it there. I don't
trade. I don't take money out. I just keep it there. And that's the Saturn in the fifth or
maybe Saturn in the second, if you have that placement too. No. So even though you didn't
maybe consciously know that that was your approach, you're doing it. Yeah. Yeah.
Buying old, it's a good thing. So for all of you, you're already living your finances,
you're already living how you approach money. Even if you know astrology or not,
you're already going to live your chart. I believe that. I see it all the time that,
and I'm sure you do too in readings with people, is that I think that they do feel their charts
and they're reacting to them in a way that represents the energy that's there and the
transits that are coming. But the more conscious you can be about it, the more you can put it to
good use, your best and highest use. The two planets that I am fascinated with contemplating
in regards to money and wealth are Pluto and Neptune. What are your thoughts? Because I've
so many books that talk about how Pluto can represent wealth when it's in the second or
the eighth house. And Neptune, I always think of Neptune as dissolving or something that's
distorted. But I have seen that people who have Neptune in the second house, they can become very
wealthy too. What are your thoughts on these two planets? I'm with you on Pluto being pretty
powerful and wealth-oriented, particularly when it's connected to Jupiter and or the sun.
But I'm like you. Neptune in the synastry charts for markets and people or in the wealth houses,
okay, Neptune could be, okay, this is what I dream to receive. But from a money perspective,
I pretty much always look at Neptune as a dissolver. As a weakness.
Yeah. And particularly when associated with Jupiter or Venus, you can have rose-colored
glasses on in terms of investment opportunities that might come your way. You think this is the
greatest thing since sliced bread, but you just can't see the danger signs.
And so you can't, you invest in it and then you lose money. So I just think it's a big warning
sign. And once again, if that's what's in your chart, that's what's in your chart.
But if you can be aware of it and know that maybe that's something that you have to
pay attention to, then good. Then you know that you really have to pay attention,
that you have to dig deep to make sure that this is truly what it seems.
Yeah. Neptune is a generational planet, so it represents a large number of people.
But if you see Neptune in a birth chart in the second or eighth, would you maybe advise the
person, hey, maybe exercise more caution when you're spending or maybe think more about the
end in mind when you're making investments, things like that?
For sure. Now, at the same time, those of you who were born with Uranus conjunct Neptune,
that's quite a good luck charm in terms of wealth. So take a look for that. I've just
had a couple clients recently that have that conjunction in their natal chart. And one was
in the first or the second, I think. I can't remember. But that actually is quite lucky
together. Fascinating. Wow. So going kind of from the birth charts to thinking about markets,
when someone wants to invest in themselves in like a market of some kind, a stock,
how are you determining what they should be investing in? Because when I had my reading
with you, I was so impressed because you gave me so much information about my chart and how I
invest and how I do things, right? You gave me timelines of when is great to do all that,
the timing of when to invest, when to hold all of it. But then at the end, you gave me
all these specific stocks and industries and even the code to put in when I go invest in the market.
You said, this is what you gave me all the strength. You even listed them as like A plus,
A minus, B. And I was like, this is so thorough. I know exactly what I'm going to invest in now.
And a lot of them that I've done extremely well with, like I started investing in Tesla in 2016
and I don't know why, but it was my intuition. My gut was like, put your money there, put this
little bit of cash you have, just put it in there. And people thought I was crazy, but I just
instinctually knew. And it was because me and Tesla have good synastry.
So share with us, how do you find this information on how someone would invest in
a particular stock? Well, I always ask on the intake form, if you have any particular investments
that you like or already use doing or whatever, and send me those ticker symbols and I'll take a
look. And here, once again, what you find is that an example of how people already feel their
turns. They're already picking things that they're connected to. Well, just like you did with Tesla.
But beyond that, then I take a look at the signs and planets associated with 2, 5, 8, and 11
for clues. So if there's a lot of air in those houses or planets in air signs, for example,
then I start looking at investments that are air oriented. Earth, the same way.
And any of the individual planets, like we talked before, the sun, gold, moon, silver,
mushrooms, water. And you just take a look at rulerships and see if there are things that
seem to connect. I can't remember, you were also interested in transportation?
Oh, yeah. That's the biggest thing I invest in is transportation of the future,
like future innovative technologies with transportation. Yeah, because you've got a
really strong Gemini, Mercury. In the 8th. In the 8th house. Yeah.
So just clues like that. But starting with whatever you're doing now. And then I just,
I don't know, I too just kind of get vibes for, okay, well, I think it's this.
Let me look at this chart. And then I also keep a list of
the stocks that are in some of the major indexes. And I look for
stocks that have a sun or moon close to your sun or moon. Because I think those four planets have
to be involved for good synastry between you and the market that you invest in.
I want to see your sun and moon connected to the market sun and moon, and vice versa,
that the market sun and moon is connected somehow to your chart.
I'm still a little new to this. What do you mean by the markets? Do you mean
the day that that company went public? So like the chart from the moment it went public? Or do you
mean the day of that you're going to invest? What do you specifically mean?
You take a look at what I call the first trade chart, which is not necessarily the same
date technically as the IPO. Often very close, often very similar, but not necessarily exactly
the same. And so what you're looking for is when it was born on its trading platform at a stock
exchange, at a commodity exchange, whatever, and the time and the city. So they have first
trade charts for markets. They're just like birth charts for us. So I think of them as like people.
Yeah. I love it.
And so first trade charts. And so that is when it starts trading.
And for example, on the New York Stock Exchange, anything new now, you could use 9.30 a.m. in New
York. Or if you get really anal about it, you can go to a quote vendor website and go to a one-minute
chart for the day that it started to see if it started like at 11.31 or 1.02 or something like
that. Wow. To get that sort of information and then use that. But either one is probably
close enough. The angles of the moon will change a little bit.
Susan, I just had a business idea for you. I don't know if you've ever done this.
I could see you like maybe you put together an ebook, a digital ebook, and you sell it
online with all of the charts for all of the first trades. So all the charts for the major
stocks and stuff. I certainly could do that. And you'll laugh when I tell you that when I
first was studying myself on financial astrology, I figured I'm getting into this game a little
late in life. I can't really start from scratch and I don't have 40 years to do it. So let me
just find and read everything I can about financial astrology. And I have a book that I found in a
used bookstore somewhere that had all 500 of the S&P 500 stocks at the time and all their first
trade data. Wow. And that was published probably in the 60s or 70s. Wow. Probably 70s because they
weren't hand-drawn charts, but they were those really early computer charts that look kind of
weird to us now. I could see you making your own, all the main ones that people are looking up,
put it online. I'll be your first customer. We could set up a whole business funnel. I've got
ideas. Sounds good to me. Love it. Oh my God. That would be so cool. So thinking more about
the markets, kind of going into, oh, I wanted to actually ask, you mentioned the elements,
right? Like earth, air, water, fire, you're going to look at. Can you go through each of those and
say what someone might invest in? Like air would be technologies or travel, right? Earth, what are
each one? Air, like you say, technology, intellectual property, things to do with the brain.
And I would throw like Alzheimer's drugs into that kind of scenario. And the air stocks, I think,
are really important right now because we've entered into what I call the air economy that
will last for the next 200 years based on the conjunctions between Jupiter and Saturn.
You know, they've made a conjunction in Aquarius at the winter solstice in 2020,
and that started this new cycle where they will be making conjunctions in air for the next 200
years. They had just finished making conjunctions in earth signs since the mid 1800s, which is when
we all valued things of earth, literally gold, crude oil, stuff that people made
and you could hold on to physically. And so those are earth type of things, but we've moved into
the air economy. So air stocks are probably the most important to pay attention to generally
for most people because the Jupiter-Saturn cycle tells us that's what the economy, the world over,
will value, just as it did earth things since the mid 1800s and the industrial revolution.
Would you say even more so now that Pluto's in Aquarius too? Uranus and Gemini, all these
absolutely. So that's earth and air, fire, Mars kinds of things.
Like war battles? War battles, tools, surgical tools.
Blacksmiths, that was so big back during that time.
Demolition, explosives. Although Sagittarius is a fire sign too, so you throw travel into that or
explorations, people that are doing new exploring. And that was the 1700s?
Probably. And then what's the last one? Earth, air, water. So comfy, cozy.
Plus water literally and air literally. The wind turbines that are creating electricity,
that's an air sort of thing. But water powered energy could be a water kind of stock.
Or anything to do with oceans, fish, as well as the nurturing side of cancer, Pisces,
humanitarian sorts of things. Yeah, charities, love that. Oh,
that's beautiful. Thanks for going through that. That's so helpful. So for you guys listening,
check out your second, your fifth, your eighth, and eleventh. And also,
that would also correspond with I think of the modality mutable, cardinal, and fixed.
All four of those houses will have... Do you see any correlations with that in terms of
how people do things or more with the elements? No, it's more elements. And really, to me,
it's more about the signs in particular. Yeah, the signs. Yeah. Because like you say,
the houses may depend. Like I use the Placidus house system. And so there can be intercepted
signs. Thinking more about the future and where we're stepping into. You mentioned
we're in the age of air now. So investing in new technologies, air type innovations and things.
What as an overview, kind of in a general sense, what are your predictions in terms of where are
we going in the markets? I know a lot of people want to buy houses right now, but the market's
kind of crazy for it. Is there going to be a dip at some point? Are people going to be able to get
in? Is there going to be a year or some sort of themes around this that might be helpful for
people to know about in the future? Okay, well, I have three big ones that come to mind.
And let me start with the no brainer one. And as far as I'm concerned, which is that
with Neptune moving into a fire sign of Aries, inflation is back. And double digit inflation
by the end of the decade seems, like I said, it's a no brainer to me as far as I, because
it's what happened in the 1970s and the 1920s, the last two times that Neptune was in fire.
And double digits in both cases, starting from low, you know, like 2%, something like that,
to double digits within just a few years, by the time Neptune gets to 09 of fire,
which now will be 2029 to 2030. Then it drops back and then there's a secondary bounce
when it gets to 22 to 24 fire. So double digit inflation by the end of the decade.
What is your advice for people with that? Like people who are kind of new to finances, like
what do we do about that? Well, once again, coming back to my commodity roots,
typically what underlies an inflationary period is some sort of commodity that is in scarce
supply and high demand. In the 1920s, it was wheat. In the 1970s, it was crude oil
with OPEC oil embargo and that sort of thing. And I actually am nominating copper for this one
because of its use in batteries and infrastructure. But interestingly, all three of those
commodity markets have really important points at 08 to 09 of fire. And they have all,
well, crude oil went up 10 times in the 1970s from where it started. But copper and wheat,
which have been trading since the 1800s, have doubled to quintupled during these inflationary
times. So I think to look at underlying commodity markets that could be driving the inflation,
pay attention to the news and what you think is going to be in critical demand and short supply.
And there are ETFs that are equity investments that you trade in your stock accounts. You don't
have to trade commodity futures or anything like that. You can find ETFs that will give you
exposure to those markets and prices. So those are the three I'm watching to get on with the
inflation bandwagon. Thank you so much for that. What's the next thing you think,
aside from inflation, with Neptune and Aries? Well, that's it for Neptune and Aries is the
inflation impact. But second is the Saturn-Uranus cycle that closely aligns with the Dow Jones
Industrial Average because they both started within about six months of each other in 1896.
And it's a 45-year cycle between Saturn and Uranus. And Saturn is about staying the same,
Uranus is about change. And so the two of them do their little dance about how does the status
quo change over time? How do we invent new things without throwing the baby out with the bathwater?
And they're nearing the end of their third cycle since this 1896 start right now.
And the next one begins in June of 2032. And this last, the last quarter of the cycle,
because they're making, well, last eighth, they're making their final sex styles right now.
The last one will be in January of 2026. And I've been looking for
a pretty big correction in the U.S. stock market during this Saturn sex style Uranus
period that started in April of 2025 and ends in January of 26. And there was a 20% correction
right at the beginning, very near their first sex style. But it seems to me from watching markets
for a long time that it's just not enough. It seems, but you know, I could be wrong. This is
why we look and we pay attention and, okay, well, maybe that was it. Okay. But if it's-
That was the correction, the 20%, yeah.
Could have been, could have been. But I still think that 30% is probably a minimum.
The first cycle corrected 39. So we'll see. And I think I would give it probably until the end of
the first quarter before I would like to- End of first quarter of 26.
Yeah. Okay.
But I think there's still potential for that based on the Saturn Uranus cycle.
And then from there, presuming that it's not the Great Depression again, where it corrected 89%
in the span of two and a half years. Then I think based on these previous cycles,
we're at new highs in the stock market also by the end of the decade.
But then you have to look out for Jupiter opposing Saturn and Jupiter opposing Uranus
fairly simultaneously in 2030 to 31. And each of those aspects on its own
signifies a high in the stock market. And they're going to be happening together in 2030 to 31.
Wow.
So long-term picture, I'm expecting after a correction that we rallied to new highs by
the end of the decade along with higher inflation. And I don't know how that story
comes together. I have no clue what will be in the news to make that happen.
Yeah. Yeah.
Because it seems like they don't fit. It seems like if you have high inflation,
you wouldn't have a roaring stock market, but we'll see. We'll see.
Yeah. Fascinating. And so 2030... Well, so just to recap, end of quarter one of 26,
we kind of wait out to see if there's a correction.
Yeah.
Around that time.
I think so.
And then the next big period we're really looking at is 2030 to 2031 is like a high possibly.
Yeah. Yeah. 29, 30, 31, start paying attention again.
Yeah. Now, hypothetical with mundane astrology, right? The US is going through crazy transits
over the next, I mean, until 2033. 2032 is really big. 2030, 2029, or 2029 are really big.
If theoretically the US was involved in a war, whether it's civil, like civil conflict or more
externally, how do you think that might be correlated with these kind of numbers with
the markets?
Well, actually that's kind of the one scenario that could make inflation go and the stock market
go at the same time. Because after, and I think what you're referring to is that Uranus will come
back to where the United States is going to have a Uranus return at 08 Gemini from its 1776 chart.
And there have been, the United States has been in big wars at each of those previous Uranus
returns. Doesn't necessarily mean there has to be another one this time,
but certainly that has occurred in the past.
And what you see in the markets is that after the initial shock of when war begins, and this
both World War I and World War II, the market kind of stabilizes. And then to supply a war
is really quite bullish because there's so much demand for new things. And because the stuff
that's getting used is getting blown up and they need new. So in the end, war is quite bullish.
Wow. Interesting. So that would lead to the inflation and stocks.
Yeah. That could be one storyline that could make both of those things happen at the same time.
I don't wish for that.
No, no. But interesting. Interesting. Yeah. What else, what other kind of,
aside from that, what other kind of theoreticals could cause inflation and
stocks to go up at the same time? Would there be any other big things that might cause that to
happen? Any new innovations? I'm just thinking of AI and how there's so many jobs that haven't
been created yet. I always say like the little kids being born right now, their jobs have not
even been invented. Yeah. Their jobs have not been invented. They haven't even been invented.
They don't even know what their future job will be because it's not even created yet. So it's like,
I wonder if maybe just new technologies and innovation is the speeding of that.
Yeah. Certainly the air economy that we've already talked about, as well as
Pluto and Aquarius and Uranus and Gemini early on here, both support that kind of development.
Yeah. And you just have to be open-minded enough to look backwards. And I like to remind myself
that in the 1920s, last huge stock market run up in the United States, well, before the Great
Depression, that's why they called it the Roaring Twenties, right? But radio was like the hot stock,
RCA, to have radios in everybody's home for increased communication was like the AI of the
time. And so it's not looking necessarily at the stocks that are already here. It really is
paying attention to the new ones and seeing what is going to be those new things that drive it.
And once again, you can go back to the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in 1980, which was in
Libra, an air sign. And it was still not done with its Earth conjunctions from the mid-1800s,
but it gave us this little preview when they conjoined in air in 1980 to 2000. And 1980 to 2000
was when all the magnificent seven stocks were born right now. Internet, iPhones,
dot-com trading, dot-com everything, that all happened in that 20 years.
Wow.
So that was like the little preview of what the air economy is going to be.
Yeah.
And so if you were brave enough in the 1980s to invest in Apple or Microsoft,
that's what you're looking for now. What are those stocks going to be now
that in another 20 years will be the big ones?
What an exciting time to be alive, to invest in the future.
Yeah, absolutely.
Wow. One of the things... Yeah, continue your thought.
Well, and I was going to say, and it doesn't necessarily mean that the companies you might
want to invest in have to be totally air-oriented, AI or internet or whatever. It could just be that
they're sensitive to that and trying to move to it. So for example, a fossil fuel company
that is trying to move to more green energy. Okay, well, that fits the bill.
Yep.
So it doesn't necessarily have to be that.
Yeah.
Just as long as what they're doing is advancing the cause in terms of airness, for lack of a made
up word.
Yeah. Some of the things I'm really passionate about are like futuristic travel, like new ways
of traveling places or transportation. So if you're already excited and passionate about that
already, do you think like the Uranus and Gemini period could bring a lot of those types of things
with Gemini being transportation and local travel and Uranus bringing that new innovation?
Yeah. But still, what is it so that we could all just walk into Harry Potter's fireplace
and then just be there? What's that?
I know. Yes. Flu powder. Flu powder. Teleportation.
Oh, I know.
That's what I want. I want to be able to just go.
Yes. Is that your dream superpower? Like if you could pick one superpower, is that yours?
Because that's mine too.
Yeah.
Forget cars and airplanes.
Here, just transport me there now.
Take me there.
Yeah.
Oh, so much time. All that time wasted, I know. And I mean, one thing I'm really passionate about
too is time travel. And while we can't travel through time, I wonder if we had some sort of
AI simulation where we could put on some glasses and we could enter in a time, a date, and maybe
a person, a historical person we've always wanted to see. And we put on our glasses and we could go
back to the Renaissance. We could see Michelangelo creating the Statue of David. We could go back to
the scene when something happened. And like, it would be so realistic that we were like,
it feels like we're there.
That would be very cool.
Wouldn't that be so fun?
Some people don't like that idea because they don't like the idea of AI goggles or whatever,
or VR. But I think if you're a history buff or you love time periods, I think it would be so cool.
Yeah. Or to use ChatGPT to just have a conversation with those people.
Yeah. Oh my gosh. Brilliant. Oh, I'm so excited for the future. I think a lot of people worry
about AI, and I have my worries too. But there also can be new things that we haven't even seen
that could be beneficial. I'm open-minded to the possibilities.
But it all reminds me of, you're probably too young for this, but
it reminds me of when the internet first started. And there were huge, huge debates about how this
was going to kill society and how it was horrible and it wasn't going to last. And from the beginning,
I was like, this is the coolest thing since sliced bread.
Incredible.
To be able to go on a website and to find information like that, to book a flight,
to buy a book, to sell your own stuff without having it. I was all in really early.
What are your thoughts on AI? Do you think it will have a similar course correction?
Yeah. Oh, absolutely.
But it will have benefits down the road?
No, this is like the new internet to me. The internet on steroids.
I love it. Are you a Sag Rising? Is that right? You're a Sag Rising?
Yeah, I have Sag Rising.
I love it. I'm not a Sag Rising, but I have Jupiter on my Ascendant and me and
Sag Risings, we're like peanut butter and jelly. Well, tell me a little bit, a couple other points
I wanted to bring up are the housing market. Do you think there's going to be a course
correction in the housing market at some point? Are you kind of open to seeing?
No, I'm watching for it to make a peak right in here sometime.
Because the North Node is in Pisces. And that is when housing prices in the United States peaked
in 2006, at the very beginning of the North Node in Pisces. And then they declined into when the
North Node was in Capricorn, and then started rising again. But if you go back in real estate
cycles, they tend, it's about an 18, 18 and a half year cycle, which is associated with the
nodes. That's the nodal pattern. And so I do watch the nodes as it comes, as it pertains to real
estate. And so given that the last peak was with the North Node in Pisces, with this North Node
in Pisces until summer of 26, I think we're in a period where housing prices could be peaking.
And at the same time, and I haven't studied this enough to really understand it completely, but
I did note that in the 1970s, when Neptune was in fire, and this inflation period was going up,
mortgage rates increased as inflation did. And so if that happens again, then we'd be in a period
where between now and the end of the decade, you'd see a pretty significant rise in mortgage rates
that are related to the 10-year note in the United States.
Do you think that's more likely than the North Node in Capricorn
slowdown or decrease? You think it can be one of the two?
No, I think it's more of the North Node in Pisces being the peak in prices,
and then the North Node in Capricorn being a low.
A low. Okay, I see. Cool. Okay.
So if you want to buy a house, wait until 28, 29, somewhere in there.
28, 29. Yeah, that's what I was going to say. Cool. That would be really helpful for those.
Yeah. Yeah. So pick your poison, high rate and low price, or high price and lower rate.
Yeah. This is going to be so helpful for so many of my listeners who are
contemplating all these things. The housing is such a big one. So yeah, that's great.
But housing isn't... I say invest, real estate investments, particularly if you have a strong
Saturn or Capricorn in your chart somewhere. But really, to me, housing is where do you want to
live? How do you want to live? It's your home. Do you make money out at the end if you hold on to
it long enough? Hope so, probably. But unless you're a flipper, buy a house because you want
to live somewhere and you love the house. Yeah. And you're going to stay a long time.
And I completely agree. That's how I approach it. I have no interest in buying a house. I just
invest in the market because I'm more passionate about that. And I think for any of you who want
to know where should I invest my money and my time, I say do what you're passionate about.
Do what you are excited by. You mentioned strong Saturn. Do you mean Saturn when it's an Aquarius
or Capricorn when it's in its domicile? Yeah. Saturn in its ruling signs or prominent in
2, 5, 8 or 11. 2, 5, 8, 11 are going to be stronger for long-term real estate. Cool. That's
so helpful. Amazing. Thanks. So tell us any other thoughts or trends, patterns you've noticed with
cycles? I think we've been through all of them. But if there's anything else you wanted to mention
about any cycles or patterns that you've noticed in your own... No, the Saturn-Uranus one is a big
one I watch. Jupiter-Saturn is another one. Jupiter-Saturn. And from a recession point of
view, I studied outer planet aspects that are in place when the recession begins. And once again,
it's associated with Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune. Okay. Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto. And in particular,
hard aspects among those. And from that perspective, then there's some potential
for recession in the United States into summer of 26. Summer of 26, okay. Yeah. Jupiter opposite Pluto.
Okay. And Jupiter-Contract-Neptune earlier in 25. Oh, yes. Okay. Okay. That's good to know.
And what are some other time periods we've had that? Like, did we have that in 2008? I can't
remember at the top of my head, the outer... No, I can't remember either. Yeah. But I did
go through... The Great Depression, was that something similar? Probably. Yeah. I couldn't
tell you without looking at my big spreadsheet. Oh, no worries. No worries. No worries. It's all
good. So tell us, where can people find you and work with you? Because I had my reading with you,
and it was incredible. I want to be mentored by you. Like, I think you're so brilliant. You have
such a wealth of information, of knowledge. And I just think what an amazing time to be alive,
to learn how to invest in futuristic things and things that you believe in, that you're
passionate about. And I think starting with a reading with you and knowing the stocks that
would be really simpatico with your birth chart would be a great way to start. What are you offering?
Well, my website is at MyName.com, SusanGoodell.com. And I offer consultations there,
one-on-one sessions that look at your chart from a wealth perspective and progressions,
transits, anything else that pops out to me as interesting, as well as any kinds of markets that
you might be interested in, or that I might think you might do well with based on planets and cusps
and all of that. That's under consultations at my website. I have a market newsletter where I do
take a look at, called Red Letter Trading Days. And that's just for people who want to get a sense
of what's happening in the sky now that could affect the markets. And it's not because the
planets affect the markets. It's because the planets affect the people who trade the markets.
They affect all of us on planet Earth as they make aspects in the sky, particularly as they're
connected to our own birth chart. But just in general, we've all heard about full moons being
enormously emotional and people go crazy and increased admissions at the emergency room and
stuff like that. So to know when the full moon is, to know when people could be behaving at extremes,
that flows into the kinds of decisions they make when they're trading or investing.
When planets are in hard aspect, they get antsy. When they're in easy aspects,
the trines or sextiles, okay, well, maybe it's easier, maybe it's more bullish.
So just to have a handle on that, and plus when planets change signs, move direction,
just basic stuff about what's happening with the planets changes how they behave,
how we perceive how they behave. Mars about to move into Capricorn is going to be really great,
I think. Mars is exalted in Capricorn. It wants to do the right thing. It wants to
be there and go for it, but in a responsible way. And that's very different than Mars in
Pisces, which is like swimming underwater without fins. You just don't go anywhere.
I know. So true. Yeah.
So the planets themselves change energy based on the signs that they're in. And so when they
change signs in any given period, but the sun does it every month. Mercury and Venus really often,
if not every month, every few weeks. Venus retrograde coming up in 26 is going to be
interesting. Yeah. And I would guess that you, well, this is what I prioritize when I'm looking
at when to invest in stuff. This is just my own thing is I look at full moons because I notice
markets go down big time during full moons. And I wonder if it's because people are panicking
and they're like feeling emotional. So they take it out and I'm like, okay, well,
that's my time to buy. If it goes down, that's when I buy. But so full moons is what I always
look for. And then Venus, because Venus is so, would you say, connected to money?
Yeah, it rules money. So I always watch it. And Mercury rules commerce and coin.
Yep. Right. And trading, trading decisions, data, and Mercury retrogrades. I've traded just tiny
little bit. And what I've learned is that I had a really bad experience with a stop getting blown
through when Mercury is retrograde. And in the end it came out okay, but freaked me out.
Wow. And so for example, my little trading rule is that I just don't trade when Mercury's
retrograde. That is so helpful. I'm going to put that away in my mental file cabinet now. That is,
yeah. But you know, it could be different for other people. Say you've got Mercury retrograde
well, maybe then that's no big deal. Oh yeah. That's true. That's true.
But for me, I had a bad experience with the trade that with Mercury retrograde. So I just decided,
okay, well, that's my rule. Oh, you're so brilliant, Susan. Anything else that you'd
like to share that you have or that you offer? Anything else? I know I got your email the other
day with your forecast. I love your emails. Yes. Your favorite day. I love getting your emails.
I like my favorite days and they have nothing to do with the markets. They're really just,
this looks like a cool day to me to do something good. Best day of the month. Yeah. Best day of
the month. I love it. So yeah, just go to my site and there'll be a little pop-up. Sign up for that
and you'll be on that list. And you'll hear from me once a month with my favorite day at the very
least. Love it. And newsletter consults and they can be for your business too. In particular,
so you own a business and that's a whole other thing.
Businesses too have first trade charts basically, incorporation charts.
How transits and progressions move through those. On the downside,
I'm really interested in watching for stocks that are coming up with those Pluto Square
to their incorporation charts because it's often a really pretty serious period of
it can be very difficult to the point of bankruptcy. For your own business,
for example, I had one client who was interested in having kind of a map for how to exit
and what did things look like from both the company's chart and her own personal chart on
when it looked like there would be big money coming through or transitions of some sort,
new partners, that sort of thing that you can see in the company chart primarily.
I took so many notes from our reading together. I took like 15 pages of notes,
so much information and love the packet, the PDF that you gave me with all the stocks that
were best for me. Everyone, get a reading with Susan. Sign up for her newsletter. Thank you so
much for coming on, Susan. This was so incredible. What an incredible interview. I know so many of my
audience members are going to love this. Well, you're a delight to chat with. You have a lot
of enthusiasm. Yay, Jupiter. Yay, Sag Rising. Love it so much. Thanks, Susan.
