I am Brad. I'm John. So, we're back to episode four of Masked Singer. All right. I think it's
episode four. Where's my notes? Yes. Episode four of Masked Singer. This one is called
Translated. That is. Pace forward. Possibly walk. Maybe step. It's one of those words that
kind of becomes a bit... Translation. Pick your poison when you want to translate it.
Anyhow, the song was originally done, sung, I should say, because it wasn't written by her,
but it was sung by Polina Garina. I probably did a bunch of that. Sounding it out in my head.
It's got too many vowels. And let's see where it is. Okay. So, it's a song in Russian,
and it was Russia's entry into the Northern Vision Song Contest, number nine,
where it came in fifth place. I believe if it had won that, it would have gone on to the Eurovision,
basically. So, it's not as famous as Polina's actual Eurovision entry that was a few years
prior, I think it was, called A Million Voices. But the originals, this one, Pace Forward, still
did a good job of showcasing her vocals. The inspiring themes about, believe it or not,
moving forward. Who would have thought with a name like that? So, anyway, Diana is going
to be wearing a very large elaborate costume. Very cool one. Yes. Still the coolest costume
they've had. Possible exception of the other one that she wore. No, I think I still prefer this one.
And we're going to stick some flames on this because, you know, it's from a TV station that
doesn't like us using their videos. Yes. Watermark on it. Exactly. Which is why I
have to find these videos without watermarks on Facebook. All right. Before we check it out,
make sure you hit that like and subscribe. Okay, I shall do that. Okay. All right. I shall hit play.
Didn't get that pause in a great spot, did I? Feel free to correct me on this one,
but I actually believe the lady in the white with the large red
flower might actually be the aforementioned singer who originally did the song.
Oh, okay. I could be completely wrong about that one, but she looks really familiar.
Can you let us know? Yes, let us know in the comments. I just find this amazing that she can
camouflage her voice. That she can camouflage her voice as well as she does and still sing
as well as she does. Yeah. Because it's kind of like you know in your head,
I know what Diana sounds like. Yeah. Like this normally. Yeah.
Pause for YouTube. Oh, it's nice that she's having a bit of fun messing around with it as well.
Ermine style instead of Gangnam style. Anyway,
that's... we don't need that thing coming back. Bad enough the first time we couldn't get away from
that song.
It's just amazing how she could camouflage her voice so much, and still be such a good
singer. Her costume should have been a chameleon. Yeah. It probably wouldn't have looked as good.
Yeah. But yeah, and then you throw in the fact that you are wearing a costume with a
full head mask that doesn't move in any way, shape, or form. Yeah. Beyond, you know, the obvious
moving your head, but I mean... Facial expression.
Facial expression is literally painted on flat. But it's amazing, just from her physical stage
performance, how much emotion, how much she brings to that character. Yeah. I'm sure she
would have done it, you know, even if she was wearing one of the stupid ones, like a fish,
or a giant heart, or a cookie. Yeah. But those are actual costumes. They all look terrible.
Anyway, all that goblin gnome thing that they had for Dick Van Dyke, for example. Oh,
another one that was awful. Anyway. I don't want to just... It's one of the ones... I see,
it's occasionally just through social media. Yeah, it's just one of the ones I've seen,
because, you know, they pulled Dick Van Dyke in just one episode, and it's kind of like,
oh, look, he's the oldest person who's ever been on the show. He's just turned 100.
He's getting up there. Surprisingly selective. But yeah, the amount of perceived emotion,
and, you know, movement, and everything that she brings out of, you know,
the costume is just incredible. Yeah. She's just all around great. I mean,
just it amazes me every time I see anything from her. It really does. Well, we're obviously going
to continue doing this series, and anything that comes out new, like she did here recently that
we reacted to. Yes. She might have even brought something out before we, you know, after we
recorded, but we pulled his hairs. Yeah. Tough. We're definitely going to continue,
so if you want to see it, make sure you hit that like and subscribe. Comment your suggestions down
below. What did I ask? Oh, yes. For example, was that lady, in fact, Paulina? I'm not going to
butcher her name. And if you hit the notification bell, YouTube will tell you, well, maybe,
we'll do the suggestions that you commented down below. So until next time, thanks for watching.
