Weirdly enough. 20 some days ago. Yeah, pretty much. Anyway, so. We'll do something from Ally Sherlock. Mostly because she did something that's current, I guess. Which you get when you realize she titled the video Stranger Things. Purple rain. Cover of something done by some guy called Prince. Formerly known as. I think he went back to Prince. Did he go back to Prince? I think. I know he was Prince. Formerly known as. And he was a squiggle. I think he was a squiggle first. And then he was formerly known as Prince. And then did he go back to Prince? Or he may have still been. I don't know. It's complicated. Anyway. So if you don't know Ally Sherlock. Irish singer, guitarist, songwriter. Oscar. Frequently performs around Grafton Street in Dublin, Ireland. Anyway. Purple rain. Purple. Purple lane. Purple rain. Which of course is a lyric in the America song. Yeah. Kind of like. There's only like two songs that the lyric purple rain pops up in. That's the other one. Useless piece of trivia. That one. So Prince's purple rain. Is about an apocalyptic vision. Where red. Passion and blood. And blue. Sadness and sky. Mixed together to make purple. Symbolizing the end of the world apparently. But ultimately. There's a message of hope, love and faith. Guiding people through turmoil and redemption. And yeah AI wrote that. You can kind of tell. Yeah. It's kind of back to. Prince and. Obviously perfect strangers. Stranger things. Talk about going back to the 80s or 90s. Yeah. Okay we got the clickbait now. So if you're a Stranger Things fan. What do you think of the season five? I thought. I haven't watched it yet. There were some very good parts of it. And then the others just fell way too flat. I did not care for it. The whole Holly stuff was just. It didn't make sense. It didn't need to be in there. And yeah. In my opinion. I take it as they were just playing. It was all a game or campaign. Whatever they call it. That's my take. Please argue below. And nicely argue below. And if you really want to do a throwback. You can argue about the end of Lost as well. Yeah. That was another show. All these shows start out great. And then. They add all these elements. And then they never know how to end them. Or how to tie them into. Under the Dome. There's another good example of. It was a one season thing. And then they got picked up for more seasons. And it was kind of like. Oh what are we doing now? And there were some definitely good parts of season five. And then all of a sudden it's like. There's a couple of zombie ones as well. That have been on TV. That I remember that went the same route as well. Started out really good and just got dumb. That is Walking Dead in general. I'm not talking about Walking Dead. I'm talking about like. It was one of the previous ones. Before Walking Dead. Mid 2000s. Late 2000s. Fallen. Something like that. Oh yeah. I remember that show yeah. They had the guy from ER in it. I think that was four. It was soon turning to 400. Yeah. Everybody's favorite drinking game. How many times did the words purple rain. Feature in the song. Officially. It's like 12. I counted one version. And came up with like 27. Or 28. It was like a live one or something. It was like I just sat there. And it's going. Purple rain. In the purple rain. I never wanted to be your weekend lover. Wanted to be some kind of friend. Never steal you from another. Such a shame. Our friendship had to end. Purple rain. Underneath the purple rain. That's another seven. I actually do prefer her version. Partly because it's. When Sunway Prince. It's one of my least favorite Prince songs. Oh really. That was never a Prince. Fan. I just know his songs. Because they were. It's like Michael Jackson. I wasn't a Michael Jackson fan either. But I know his songs. Because they were everywhere. Growing up in the 80s. You couldn't get away. He just heard them. Yeah. I'd say I'm not a huge. Prince fan. But as far as Prince songs go. This is actually. It's one of my least favorite. Because it's one of the. Lesser. Singing songs. Shall we say. You've got just. Big chunks of him. Effectively telling a story. And then the only bit. That's really sung is. Purple rain. We used to sing. Raspberry beret. In the castle corner of Nebraska. I don't know why that. That was just what the other people. Were singing. Walking the cornfield singing. Raspberry beret. Maybe purple rain. Wasn't out yet. Because a lot of times we were. Castling in the rain. True. I say true. Whenever you're doing. Something like that. It feels like at like. Four in the morning. Or something like that. It was ridiculous. But I don't know. Only want to see you. Underneath the purple rain. I do it. Purple rain. See you. Only see you. Bathing in. The purple rain. Thank you so much. She is such a great singer. She's got such a good voice. And I might just be biased on this. Because I've been hearing this song. Everywhere. 20 times a day on social media. Not so much anymore. It's finally calmed down. I wonder why she doesn't cover it. I'm tired of it. I'm not too sure. It fit her voice. She sang it good. She sang it more. I'm just biased. I've heard it thousands of times. During the last. I don't even know when the last episode was. New Year's Eve. The last couple of weeks. Two or three weeks. She actually sang it. More than. You know. When Prince performs it. He tends to. State. The passages. Not the verse. Rather than the chorus. Because the chorus is purple rain. He states the verse. When you listen to it as a song. It doesn't make a lot of sense. It's like. Rambling poetry. I've heard a lot of songs. He fires out. Almost. Where the song makes sense. I have seen the movie. If you watch the purple rain movie. Because then. The style of the song makes a lot of sense. It's one of those songs. To me. I like the song. If I'm watching the movie purple rain. Outside of that. It's kind of. Basically. I thought it was good. She's great. We haven't done her in a while. She's got a great voice. I think she should be doing more. I don't know. Maybe she does over there. She does street stuff. She did bring out an album. A couple of years ago. She's had several single releases. She brought an album out. When she turned 18. She's now 20. Two years ago. She brought out an album. Ever since then. She's been releasing singles. That's good. I like her voice. She's a good singer. We reacted to her in the past. We definitely need to get back to. Reacting to her some more. I do like her. Her and other street performers as well. There are a lot of great street performers. That still do street performances. She was on Ellen. She got a fair amount of popularity. This is quite a while ago. I don't know how to brag about that now. Back when it was useful. She was on Ellen. She got a bunch of. Variety from that. I like the fact. Even though she's become popular. She has a record deal. Obviously. She still goes out. And does these. Performances live on the streets. As the cat knocks. Everything over. Trying to get in there. Figuring out how to open the door. It's a pocket door. Now we have a wedge. She's not happy. We're definitely going to react to her some more. If you want to see any of those.
