Hey everyone, long time no see. It's been a very very long time since I've made a video.
I feel like that's like what I say in the beginning of every single one of my videos
because I'm just a very busy person. But this video is very exciting. Well I say that about
every video too. But this is actually really exciting because I finally got the Pat McGrath
Skin Fetish highlighters and I'm so happy. So I'm holding this up but they're not actually
in there because um I already opened it. So for people who don't know, Pat McGrath is like the
most influential makeup artist in our lifetimes probably. And she made this skin fetish set that
comes with a highlighter that has a highlighter and a balm and a pigment and a brush. And I got
both of the colors because I went a little crazy. This was extremely extremely extremely hard to
get. I was on the website clicking like every second like trying to refresh the page and I
couldn't get it the first time it was released and thank god they had a re-release at 3 p.m.
and I finally got them and I got both of the colors because I just I just had to. These were
very very pricey but I've never had like high-end highlighters before so this is my justification
for splurging on myself. But I feel like they were very very much worth the money because they
really do what they claim. I'm just gonna stop talking and show you. So these come in the golden
color and the nude color and from like just here from like how it looks in the thing it doesn't
really look that different but it looks very different on the website so I think it would be
very helpful to show y'all swatches of what it actually looks like on the skin. So first I'm
gonna do like a side-by-side comparison of it on my arm and then I'll show you what it looks like
on my face. So we're gonna start with the nude highlighter. I'm gonna do like both of the colors
on here and then both of the balms and then both of the pigments so that you can see a
side-by-side comparison of the two colors. So the nude highlighter is a very neutral color and it
has a lot of shimmer in it but it's very creamy and it blends in the skin very well. I'll show
you in a second. And this is the golden color. This is the golden highlighter. As you can tell
this is just a slightly deeper color but um it's yellow tone so I'm not sure which one would work
better if I've only tried the nude one on my face. Next is the balm. So I'm not sure if there's
really a difference because they literally look the same but it's hard to tell the difference
between the two colors so I'm just gonna swatch it for you anyway. Oh there is a difference!
Wait, is there? So this is what the balm looks like. I think they're pretty much the same color.
I don't think there is really any pigment in the balm. I think it's just gloss. So decide on which
color you want to get based on the highlight. Next is the pigment and it's so pretty. I'm gonna swatch
the nude one first. Do you see it? So I don't know if you can tell but it has a slight pink sheen to
it. If you layer this over and over on your face you're gonna be able to tell there's like a purpley
pink tint. Then we're gonna do the golden pigment. So here you can see like the apparent difference
between the two. The golden one is obviously a lot more yellow. So now I'm gonna show you what it
looks like on the skin. I'm gonna do this side of my face golden and this side of my face nude. So
you can choose which one you want because I was very conflicted when I was on the website because
I have yellow toned skin but I'm also very pale. So now you can know before you buy it at Sephora.
So I'm just gonna directly do this. If you don't want to you can use like a brush or something. I
just like the way the stick feels on my face. So you probably know this is how I like to place
my highlight just to see shape around my eye. I'm also gonna put a little bit here a little bit on
the nose. And just so you know I do have makeup under this obviously um but I only powdered my
t-zone so it shouldn't affect it this much because I do follow the rule of like cream and then powder.
Now I'm gonna do the other side. You can already tell with just one layer of this highlighter my
face is already glowing. So next is gonna be the balm and by the way I'm applying this according
to how Pat McGrath wants you to apply it because it came with a little instruction booklet. So it
goes highlighter, balm, and then pigment. So this kind of balmy glossy texture is something that's
very new to me um because I haven't been using like glosses for a long time but I'm assuming
since that's what Pat said we should do that um this should be applied on top of cream and under
powder. By the way this is very very very easy to apply like you can already see how much product
can you? You can see how much product there is on my fingers because it melts very easily when you
do a little rub rub on the balm. And I'm gonna put a little bit of this on the eyelids and I'm gonna
do the same thing. Highlight on this side. I'm also gonna apply this to the tip. So this is what it looks
like with the highlighter and the balm. If this is still not intense enough for you don't worry
because the pigment is really the star of the show. It also comes with a little brush for your
highlight and I really like how soft it is and the fact that it's very very sparse like um so you
don't pick up too much product because this is very very highly pigmented. If you use like a very
dense brush it's probably gonna look very very reflective. So I'm just gonna do a little swirly
swirl and apply this on the cheeks. So I'm gonna use my finger to apply this and this is gonna look
a lot more intense than just using the little brush that I came with. I'm so sorry my roommates
are being loud. Blend this. Here it is. Glowing. Now we're gonna try the other side and I feel
like I'm gonna like this highlight a lot. Do you see how intense this is? This is like putting paste
on my face. This is scary. It's okay we can blend it out. God I feel like I added too much.
Guys I fucked up. Blending this in and I'm gonna put a little bit more of the nude pigment. Okay so in
the promotional video they were also putting the highlight on their collarbones and shoulders so
that's what I'm gonna do now. Nothing special just highlighting my collarbone. Now we're gonna do
the shoulder. This feels so weird and I'm holding the mirror with the other hand like this is so weird.
Now blending the highlight. Since I did put a huge amount of highlight on my face I'm just
gonna put some blush on to add a bit more color on my face because right now I look very pale.
I don't really think the blush helped but I'm gonna show you what each side looks like.
So this is the nude side and this is what the golden side looks like. So that is it for today.
I hope this video was helpful. Let me turn that light back on. I really hope this video was helpful
because I was having such a hard time deciding between golden and nude on the website. I'm still
not quite sure which one I like more but um now you can know what it looks like on yellow toned
skin. Skin fetish will be available at Sephora. I want to say tomorrow. I'll link all the information
down below but it should be available on Sephora on May 10th. And if you want to keep up release
dates and whatnot you can really just follow Pat McGrath on Instagram. She posts a lot of really
cool stuff. Yeah I hope you like this video. I really did stroke the **** out of my face. I'm
again very sorry that I haven't been able to post videos as often as I would like to.
