Welcome to the heart and soul of Adelaide's food scene, the Adelaide Central Market.
A place where flavors, cultures, and community come together to create an unforgettable experience.
With over 70 traders offering the freshest local and international produce,
this market has been serving food lovers for over 150 years.
So are you ready to explore? Join us as we dive into the sights, smells, and tastes of one of
the best markets in the world. We took the train all the way to Adelaide Station. The Adelaide
Railway Station is the central terminus of the Metropolitan Rail Network in Adelaide,
South Australia. It's located in North Terrace and it's one of the city's most iconic transport hubs
serving as the gateway for commuters, travelers, and visitors. We took the train for Glenelg
and a light at the Victoria Square Tram Stop. Okay, that's the Supreme Court.
Where's the Victoria Square, that one? All of this section is.
They're obviously assembling something. University.
Square Fountain. The fountain used to be about here, but they moved it.
That's called Victoria Square, I guess, because there's a statue of Queen Victoria over there.
Where's the statue? Oh, it's there. It's right through there.
So we're going to Central Market. Walking now to the Central Market.
This is just one of its entrances. I had watched so many YouTube videos before we went here.
This was really part of my bucket list. Oh, I saw this paella.
There's quiches. What? What quiches? Quiches over here, you see?
Here's the opening hours. Is that Wellington?
Itzy's favorite, beef jerky.
Okay. So happy when I saw the turkey. Unfortunately, it won't fit in our oven.
How much is it? Remember I told you I want to eat lobster?
You can also buy fresh flowers. There are very trees here.
So this red trees here is called Red Lester. It's from... They just call it tasty red now.
I always wanted to have an entire block.
This one. Oh, they have nougat. This is the kind of nougat I want.
Where? That one. Oh, they do that at the bars.
Did she get some?
How much are these? This one's fine. This is enough.
I'll get that nougat.
I love all these dips. So nice. Really, I love them.
What is this?
This would be so good. You dip the crackers in it and eat it. That would be so nice.
Sweet chili crab would be nice. Oh my god, I love it here.
This is what I told you.
We buy a corn chips, then we buy a dip, then we'll just watch a movie.
You can get dips from here.
We should try. Fritz.
Yeah, Fritz.
We love Fritz. They gave us free samples.
I love the smell.
It smells really good here.
You can also buy here fresh fruits and vegetables.
This is the Hague's chocolate.
I thought we're going into Hague's.
Okay, for real.
We are getting inside Hague's chocolate now.
This is the famous Hague's chocolate.
Their chocolates are handcrafted
and famous for using top quality cocoa beans.
My personal favorites here are the chocolate coated almonds
and peanut brittle.
C is calling me to choose which flavor I want.
I love the white chocolate
and choco orange.
They also offer factory tours
where visitors can see how the
premium chocolates are made.
The best thing is
the tours are free, but bookings are
essential as spots fill up quickly.
It's held at
Hague's visitor center in
Parkside, Adelaide.
This one has pistachio.
Almond bread.
It's salted caramel.
It's chicken salt.
Salt?
Lava salt.
Smelly cheese.
This shop has
300 types of cheese.
Wow, that's a lot of cheese to choose from.
The smell is very
strong.
We asked if there are cheese samples, however
we went during weekdays.
Samples are only available
during Saturday.
I like these.
They're like chocolate inside
with hot candy.
And they have nougat.
But different type.
It's a fake.
What toilet candy are you talking about?
Where's the toilet candy?
Where's the toilet candy
you're talking about?
Sour Pony Pop.
So many ham and bacon to choose from.
Very cheesy.
How are you doing?
When you dig, you get prosciutto.
Oh yeah, we need to buy this.
Wait, I want to try this.
I want to try this one.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
We need to try.
This is ready to eat, right?
Yeah.
This place
is great.
Fruits and vegetables are very
cheap during Saturday afternoon
as they are closed during Sunday
and Monday.
From kangaroo
I am kangaroo.
Gin tastings available here today.
Have we been here
already?
We were on the other side before.
Oh, this is
what you want, right?
This is the tomato sauce I like to get
myself.
This one here is really nice.
Let's have a look at the scrum steak.
Look at that.
This entire one?
It's 7.9 here.
Interesting.
We'll just have pika pika here.
You know what pika pika means?
Pika pika like small
like bites.
Pika pika.
We'll just eat pika pika
then we go to Chinatown for lunch.
We'll have another dinner later.
We love this shop so much.
We bought pumpkin spice powder.
We are a big fan of
pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks.
However, it's only available
during Halloween.
Pumpkin spice also adds
that festive kind of feeling
when you taste or smell it.
Do you agree?
This honey shop became my go-to store
whenever I visit Adelaide.
Where's the comb?
That would be inside
the building.
You just need
the bath.
Come in.
Straight from the comb.
You just have to...
Guess why?
Not because of this honey.
But because of their soaps.
My friends in Singapore love it
so much.
It smells really really good
and even if it's already
halfway finished,
it still smells really really good.
Chinatown is
just a few steps away from
the Central Market.
It's the best place to visit
when you're craving for Asian cuisine.
So we're going back to
Central Market.
Now we're going back to Central Market
and this is another
way to go there.
Why? Where's the other way?
Looking right around
the block.
What are these?
It was still open earlier.
How about this coffee shop?
Wow!
Most shops are closed now.
Really?
I think so.
Again, fruits and vegetables are cheaper
during Saturday afternoon
as they are closed during Sundays
and Mondays.
Now we're heading
to Rundle Mall.
Have to take the Victoria Square tram.
It's very windy today.
This street is just
across Hilton Hotel.
Now we're here in Rundle Mall
and this is another
branch of Hague's Chocolate.
I wanted to buy
the teddy bear along with chocolates
as a gift to my friend's daughter
whom we will be meeting for dinner.
I want chocolate drink.
I think this is a chocolate drink.
Is it?
So that's all for today.
