I run one of the largest tech communities on Skool, that makes over $100K/month.
In this video, I break down exactly how to grow on Skool with ZERO audience by launching a brand new community from scratch. This is a beginners guide to making your first $1,000 on Skool and scaling a community business to $10K/month (and beyond).

I run one of the largest tech communities on school that consistently makes 100k plus
per month.
But recently, I started a brand new school community from scratch with zero audience
and zero members and generated its first $1,000.
And today I'm going to break down the whole process that you can follow to start making
money on school today.
And at the end of the video, I'll take you through my plan to scale that offer from its
first $1,000 to 10k, 20k plus per month.
So if you're an entrepreneur and looking to crack some million dollar deals, grab that
coffee and let's lock in.
I've been on school now for almost two years.
I've met Alex Simozy multiple times at the school games and I've been running one of
the largest tech communities for almost that two year period.
But I wanted to set myself a challenge to start from scratch with no audience, no momentum
or no members and see if I could start a school and generate my first $1,000.
And today I'm going to take you through the clearest, simplest path to generating your
first income on school.
And I'm going to take you through the big mistakes that people make, picking the wrong
model and really overcomplicating this.
We're not going to run crazy ad campaigns.
We're not going to build crazy fancy funnels or create email sequences that people have
to follow.
This is going to be so simple.
And honestly, I think I'm going to share what is the simplest path to not just making your
first $1,000 on school, but making your first $1,000 as an online entrepreneur.
Step one, one avatar.
So step one is going to be straight from Alex Simozy's hundred million dollar offers.
We want to be really clear on the person that we're serving, the problem that we solve for
them and the transformation our community is ultimately driving.
This is where you want to grab a coffee, big whiteboard and pen and stop brainstorming
ideas.
What's your unfair advantages?
Your skill sets, your experience, the network that you have, that people will struggle to
compete with you and your passions and the pains that you've already personally been
through.
And if you've got a personal transformation that you've been through, this is going to
be the most powerful.
For me, I was at a corporate job for a long time.
I struggled to find that path to profit as a creator.
Was it brand deals or AdSense?
And I really struggled until I found school and that really was the million dollar unlock
for me.
So that's what I've sent in my school around.
It's entrepreneurs and creators looking for their path to profit and I help them start
and build a full time income online because that's what really resonates with me right
now and is really my passion.
Step two, one channel.
Once we know who we're speaking to, the next question comes, how do we speak to them people?
Well, when we were at the school games, there was lots of different strategies that allowed
these entrepreneurs to win and be in that room from TikTok to Instagram to ads, to email,
to school itself or personal network.
But what we did find is none of the people said that they did all of them all at once
because you can do anything, you just can't do everything.
So you want to pick one platform to post on.
And we originally pioneered YouTube straight to school, which has now become the kind of
method to making money on school.
This is what I did.
I kept it super, super simple.
I chose one platform, which was YouTube.
Then the question comes, what do you actually post?
Well, I just did one flagship storytelling piece of content.
The first video of entrepreneurship on my channel told my story.
I quit my job.
I started a school.
This is how I run it and manage and monetize it basically a year's worth of story into
a 12 minute video.
And this is my first video on entrepreneurship on the channel.
Unfortunately, this has got almost 50,000 views.
Very nice.
Step three, one offer.
So we have a one avatar.
We have our one channel.
We need now our one offer, which is made really simple because you have a beautiful platform
called school.
We are going to house all of our offers on this platform.
And what I did, I had that one video.
It was starting to generate traffic.
Maybe I had about 400, 500 views.
I pinned the top comment of my community saying, join my free group.
And I set up an MVC, minimal viable community.
I had like one post, had like one module and had one line on the homepage.
People actually started joining.
And now over time, as I've scaled that group and drove engagement, that one video has generated
almost 900 people, almost a thousand people to join that community.
That's a thousand people who like what we're about, like the story.
They like what we've got on offer and interested.
If we have something to sell, they may be interested in that.
One of the big mistakes that first time community builders are going to make now is spending
too much time on the community itself to make it world class.
Your biggest problem.
You don't have an audience.
You don't have traffic.
You don't have resonance.
So just make an MVC, a minimal viable community within an afternoon, a few coffees.
See if people want to join, then based on their problems and feedback, start building
them content.
But don't make the big mistake of spending so much time on a community that people don't
even want.
You want to sell first and build later.
Step four is the community.
So now comes the thousand dollar question.
You're creating content.
You've got members expressing an interest, but they're all free.
How do you actually make money?
So this is where the model becomes really important.
You basically got three options.
Low ticket, which is the golden goose, high ticket or freemium.
Now the problem with a low ticket, which is amazing, and I've run one for now almost two
years and it is really the best business model, but it's not the easiest business model to
make your first thousand dollars because you probably don't have like the title suggests
in this video.
You don't have an audience.
You got zero audience.
So you don't have 50 to 100 people that you can sell a low ticket offer to.
And the problem with high ticket is no one knows who you are.
Again, you've got no audience.
So going straight to 3k, 5k is going to be a struggle.
The best business model for early stage community owners and entrepreneurs is freemium, free
community with an upsell, because really we only need two or three people to buy a $500,
maybe even a thousand dollar product, and we've hit our goal.
And here's the key part.
You don't launch an offer until you have at least 200 people in the group, ideally around
500.
That's where I was at until I started thinking about this.
You want to get resonance.
You want to get that signal.
I was getting DMs, so many DMs across Instagram and school saying people wanted to work more
with me.
Could they get more access?
You want that signal and that resonance before you then launch an offer.
Step five is the offer.
So after a jab jab, here comes the right hook, which is the offer.
You want to do a really simple post into the community.
And this is what I did.
Hey, I'm looking to work with two or three early stage community owners and entrepreneurs
to really start and scale their group to 10k plus per month.
If you are interested, comment the word school below and I'll send you more information.
Once they reply, be on top of it, send them more information, have conversations and DMs.
But we don't just post and ghost.
We're not passive.
We're action takers.
You want to reach out to your most engaged members, your super users, the people who'd
be DMing you a lot and comment and like on all of your posts and say, hey, you'd be a
great fit for this.
Have you checked out the post?
I'm looking to work with two or three people and you'd be amazing for it.
We're proactive.
So it's a combination of content and outreach.
It's going to help us get our first interested potential buyers.
Step six is sales.
So once we've got comments, we've got DMs, we've got people potentially interested.
Now becomes the big scary thing, which is asking people for money.
And we're at a crossroads.
Do we do the selling in DMs or on sales calls?
Now I've done launches.
My first ever one was 12k.
I closed five people out within 24 hours, all in DMs.
And I've sold things for up to five grand just chatting to them in DMs.
But you will typically convert better if you can do sales calls.
So if you're confident with that, hop on a call.
And let's break it down because it sounds scary, but it's really, really simple.
If we've got 10 people interested and we've got a $500 product,
we only need to close at 20% to make our first $1,000.
And really 20 to 30% is really what we want to shoot for.
I chose to do my product at two or three K, but if you feel more confident,
do 400, $500.
I prefer you start there, build the confidence and momentum,
and then we can scale the pricing up.
At the moment, scalability is not a thing that we should be trying to tackle.
And with this approach, I was able to close my first $1,000.
And actually, within a few calls, I closed six grand and then closed the offer down.
And what I love about this, we've not done an ad, we've not built a funnel,
we've not done an email sequences or crazy social platform.
We've got one avatar, we've got one channel, we've even got one video,
one community, we did one post, and then we got one clear offer.
And we've generated well over $1,000 in our first launch.
Step seven, delivery.
At this point, you might be asking, what is it that you're actually selling?
Well, we're not going to reinvent an offer.
We're going to take from an industry that's working and apply it to our community,
which is personal training.
What do they do?
They work with a small number of people.
They audit their entire situation.
What are your goals?
Lose weight, put on muscle.
They build them a workout plan, so a tailored roadmap.
They agree to achieve it within a certain amount of time.
And then they give them the support and accountability to achieve it.
And this will work for any industry or any community, personal one-to-one coaching.
And I love low ticket, absolutely.
But you are going to have an easier time as a beginner
to make your first $1,000 offering personal one-to-one coaching
than you will selling a low ticket.
Now, low ticket, I love.
I'm going to come on to that in a second.
But for most beginners, personal one-to-one coaching,
ideally at $2,000 to $3,000 price point,
will absolutely crush and allow you to make your first money on school.
My plan to go to $10,000 plus per month.
So what is my plan to take this from $1,000 to $10,000, $20,000 plus per month?
Well, the beauty of one-to-one coaching
is that you are going to work really closely with a small number of people
and you'll very quickly work out what works and what doesn't.
And if you've got enough clients,
you'll be answering the same questions over and over again.
And once you've done this and you understand exactly what works,
you can take all of that beautiful work you've done and make that into a course,
make that into group coaching and make that into a low ticket community.
And this is my plan.
Once I've blown these clients away and got beautiful case studies,
I'm going to take something that I've charged $5,000 for
and put that into a low ticket, maybe $50 a month community
and have a real nice MRR, monthly recurring revenue base.
And of course, I love working with one-to-one with people.
I'm going to do a new launch at the end of this month,
maybe just in a few weeks,
work with two or three more people up the price slightly and scale that.
And think about it.
If I could do two people a month at $5,000 plus my low ticket,
doing $5,000 or $10,000 a month,
that is $20,000 generated with a really light touch community.
And this is what I love about the model.
You go broad with a small number of people,
you blow them away with value,
and then you scale your coaching offer with a small number of serious people.
Here's my biggest lesson learned
from starting a brand new school community from scratch
with zero audience and generating its first $1,000.
Even with all of my experience,
we did over a million dollars with a school community that I run last year.
I've closed 10K sales back to back on sales calls.
Even with all that experience,
I second guess myself when launching a brand new offer.
Will people even want this?
Will they be interested in it and will they buy it?
I closed my first call.
I closed my second call and I continue to consistently close these deals.
But even I almost didn't launch it.
This year, we are not going to let our self-doubt get in the way of achieving our goals.
You will be so surprised once you launch
how much strangers value your experience and your expertise.
So this year, what I want you to do is just launch it and lock in.
But none of this matters
if you don't know how to actually start a school community.
So check this out.
I'm going to get your first school community set up in 10 minutes
and I'll see you in the next one.
