The coldest air of the season arrives Saturday with dangerously cold wind chills below zero.
TONIGHT: Clouds roll in late. Watch for spots that refreeze, low 18.
FRIDAY: Any sun early will quickly fade as clouds roll in, high 35. An AccuWeather Alert has been posted for Friday night as snow squalls before sunrise could leave a coating to 1" of snow.

It's been a few years since we've had wind chills that are going to be this brutal on Saturday.
So this is definitely a time to prepare for the cold and over the weekend check in on your neighbors,
especially if we have any power outages, which is a possibility with the wind. Right now live on Sky 6
taking a look at the Brandywine camera after a quiet day. Made it up to 34 degrees with sunshine.
We have clear skies right now, but the next big thing is what's happening this weekend.
The coldest air of the winter. It arrived with an Arctic front ahead of that front.
We could be squeezing out a few snow showers Friday evening around 8 o'clock,
but the real chance of the snow squalls will be in the wee hours of the morning.
This particular model shows that moving through around 3 o'clock in the morning.
So we will have some modest snow with that front again,
some flurry snow showers Friday evening, light snow and snow squalls after midnight.
So if you are driving late Friday night, be careful. Roads could get a little bit slippery
and we're looking at a coating to an inch of snow when you wake up on Saturday morning,
but really the bigger issue is the cold air behind that front.
An extreme cold watch has been posted Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning for entire viewing area.
This will be an extreme cold warning.
It's not just the temperatures. It's also those winds.
Future Tracker showing the wind chills on Saturday evening,
nine below zero in Philadelphia, seven below zero Atlantic City,
13 below in Allentown, and 25 below in the Poconos.
And then by Sunday morning, the wind chills even lower, 18 below in Lowington,
17 below Philadelphia, 11 below in Cape May, Allentown 19 below,
and definitely not a good weekend for skiing that wind chill.
Sunday morning, 33 degrees below zero in the Poconos.
We also have high wind watches posted for the counties that are buffering the Atlantic and the Delaware Bay.
Now Cape May, I think the winds will be strongest there
because you'll have the winds heading over the bay so there's no real friction of land.
And we're looking at wind gusts near 60 miles an hour most of the day on Saturday.
So those winds are going to be relenting, pulling down that really cold air.
Today, not too bad. Currently 32 degrees, again made it up to 34,
so we did get a little bit of melting. Allentown 23, Wilmington 27,
and the boardwalk in Atlantic City 28 degrees.
Tomorrow we will climb up above freezing again,
but more clouds as we roll through the day, about 34 degrees by 4 o'clock.
And again, a chance of some snow showers or flurries by Friday evening.
The exclusive active weather Sunday forecast, increasing clouds for your Friday.
That high, 35 degrees. Accurate alert goes into effect on Friday night for those snow squalls.
Again, after midnight, a coating to an inch. The high on Saturday, it's 19 degrees in the morning.
Then we drop, so we have an accurate alert for that cold air with wind chills below zero.
Sunday, not much better, 21 degrees. Wind chills at best in the single digits.
Monday, still below freezing, 29.
And then finally temperatures back up above freezing on Tuesday,
35 degrees, some rain and snow showers possible Wednesday, 39.
And Thursday, no big warm-up, but at least above freezing with a high of 36 degrees.
So this is dangerous cold heading our way this weekend.
I will have an update on Action News at 11.
By the way, happy National Weather Person's Day.
