Okay, so I am now obsessed because I have a Goodwill Benz right down the road.
So we are headed there now. It is the next day after I went to the Goodwill Benz for the first
time. So I don't know when y'all are going to be seeing this video. I have to look at my calendar,
but I'm going back the next day just because I do want to see like are they turning the Benz over
pretty good like regularly. So it is the next day around the same time. It's like one o'clock
and so I'm just curious. So let's go back to the Goodwill Benz and y'all better just get ready
because we're about to have Benz videos probably a lot. Let's go to the Goodwill Benz y'all.
Okay, the crowd has definitely died down and I am so happy about that. So there is not near
as many people here on this day, which is great and also I am seeing some things that were still
here yesterday when I came. They do have a lot of new things out, but it looks like they maybe
just brought stuff out and just put it right on top of the old stuff. I'm not really sure,
but nonetheless I do find a few things today. They keep the music blaring in this Goodwill Benz also,
so it's hard for me to like leave the real audio on for y'all because in some of the spots I am
right by the speaker, so that's why I have to do a voiceover. But I'm excited to be back at the
Goodwill Benz today thrifting for some more goodies. Let's see what all I can find. So
yesterday when I was here, I hardly saw any linens, so I am excited that they've brought
out a bin of linens for me to dig through. I am always, always looking for linens. They are just
a very inexpensive way to bring color and, in my opinion, a little bit of decor to your home.
Okay, and because I was in the market for a new umbrella, I spotted this one in one of the Benz
and grabbed it. But always check things like this before you check out with them,
because this one would not open. No matter what I did, what I tried to do, every which way but loose,
it would not open. So that's going to go back into the bin, and I'm going to save my money on that.
Okay, and real quick, I want to address this before anyone says anything or gets upset about
what I'm doing. You will see me peeling off stickers on the bottoms of some of these
dishes here at the Goodwill Benz. I would not necessarily be this rough with the stickers and
the regular Goodwills if I could not get them off and put them back on where you could see the price
and not damage the price tag. I wouldn't do it. But here at the Goodwill Benz, I've already asked
the workers if I could do this, and they said, yes, we do not care because they do not go by
the price tag here at the Goodwill Benz. Everything is done by weight with the exception of
books and maybe a couple other things. So yes, here at the Goodwill Benz, I will be peeling
off stickers on the bottom of some of the dishes, so everybody stay calm. Everybody stay calm when
you see me doing this, but I will only really do this roughly and just non-gently here at the Benz,
because again, the price tags do not matter at the Benz. Okay, I just came out of the Goodwill
Outlet Benz. I had to put my bag up because they won't let you bring your bags into the Goodwill
or the Goodwill Benz, because we do have a Goodwill store right down here next door to it.
We're going to go in there and see what they have since my Goodwill Benz trip was kind of short.
I seen a lot of stuff that was in there yesterday. I was afraid that they weren't going to be
switching them out very much, so I'll probably just have to go once or twice a week. Let's
go see what they have in here. Here's the back room where they put some of their furniture and
stuff. I don't see a whole lot of new stuff in here either. Let me take y'all off this strap
real quick. Try to hold y'all like this. They still have this here. If it had the legs, I would
have got it for Channing, but it does not have the legs to it. Let's see, what else do they have?
Just not a whole lot of new since I was in here. I don't know, what was I here like a week ago,
but all right, let's go see what they have on their shelves just in case they got anything
good there. Nice little table for $6.49. That's kind of pretty. Very primitive looking set, isn't
it? How much are you? $8.99. I might have to get this down and look at it real quick. That was a
no-go. It was kind of all tore up, but it would have been nice for Christmas. Oh, look at this
vintage looking. Oh, it's a shower curtain. Hello Kitty shower curtain.
All right, let's head to the back real quick. There's a cart right there. I told y'all this
Goodwill is good about having carts. New ones out all the time. Music's getting loud, so I have to
do a voiceover. Good day. Do you mind if I look on the cart or no? No, you can. Okay, thank you very much.
So again, as you can see, I'm being very respectful to this worker. She is back here trying to
unload these carts and put things on the shelf. So anytime they are there working,
I will ask permission to look through it because I don't want to get in their way.
And I've told y'all this before, our workers around here, they do not care if you look through
these carts, even while they are working off of them. But just ask, especially if they are there
and they are working off of them. Now, if they're just sitting there and there's nobody around and
nobody comes back to pull things off and put them on the shelves, I will go ahead and just start
looking again because my local Goodwills, they just don't care. I know a lot of y'all say,
oh my goodness, we could never do that in our Goodwill. We would get in trouble. But I left
that clip in there just so that y'all could see. I did ask again because she was working off of it
and she's like, absolutely. I mean, because it is less work for them. Let me know, how do they do it
in your area? As you can see here, this regular Goodwill has lots of little teacups on the shelf,
but you know what? I'm going to wait. Look how they did this one. They glued this one to the
saucer and they made a little candle out of it. I mean, the concept is very, very cute. Here's
some more little teacups. These are absolutely precious for some little spring and Mother's
Day projects, but you know what? I'm going to wait and I'm going to see if any of these end
up down at the Goodwill bins. Okay, this little strawberry creamer is absolutely adorable. I do
find some more pieces to put this with in just a little while, but pay attention to this little
coffee mug right here. Listen. It's funny to have three of these at the Goodwill bins next door.
So this is a beautiful Wexford decanter. You can put mouthwash in this. You can put water in this
and put it by your coffee maker. You can do so many different things with them. They are so,
so beautiful. I already have one that I got at a garage sale for a dollar, so I did leave that one,
but yeah, there's so many different things that you can use those for. And then I saw some of
these little plates that I thought would be very pretty to put into my Valentine's Day decor.
As you can see here, here are some more of those strawberry dishes. I thought that these would be
so precious for someone during the summer. They are gorgeous. So I put that little
creamer down here just with the set so somebody could see that it all went together.
Okay y'all, because we have started the project on our back porch, I am beyond excited about that.
More to come on that later, but the point I'm trying to say is that I am wanting to collect
a bunch of terracotta pots of all sizes for a project that I am wanting to do on the patio
area. So once our back porch project is finished, it is going to change some things for our patio. So
I think that I'm going to wait and not pick them up for that price at the Goodwill. I'm going to
wait for some garage sales. Maybe I'll come across some at the bins. I don't know, but I'm wanting to
get them for a lot less because I need a whole bunch of them. Again, you just never know what
you're going to come across at the thrift store. Look at these new little thrifting buddies I came
across here. Aren't they precious? It kind of reminds me of Donna at Delightfully Southern.
She always takes buster in the thrift store. They were super sweet. They let me love on them. They
never barked at anybody. They were just super, super sweet. They were just thrifting and having
all the fun. Okay. We're back in the car now. I did get some, I'm sorry, I'm unstrapping all
this stuff that I used to wear y'all so I can have two hands. So we're back in the car now.
Excuse me. That's like uncomfortable. I'm ready to get it. I mean, it's not uncomfortable. It's
getting hot. Like it is hot in Texas today. We're in February. That winter storm is gone.
So these long sleeves that I had on just got to go. This wasn't, you know, like a mind-blowing
thrift trip, but I did get a few things. I'll show y'all the linens when I get home,
but what I did get is another one of these. So I thrifted one just like this at the bins
when I came yesterday and I did not even see these. So I don't know if they just put them
out today. So some of their glassware was different, but there was a lot of the same
stuff that was here yesterday, but they did add to it. So, so that's good. But I did notice a lot
of the same things in the bins. So that's kind of what I was afraid of is that they are just not
going to switch these bins out probably as often. So this may have to be like a once a week at the
week or actually maybe like on, yeah, like on Sundays or Mondays because they close on Thursday,
Friday and Saturday. So they reopen on Sunday, which I guess is a smart move on their part
because everybody's off. They open right as church gets out, that kind of thing. And so, yeah,
that was just my little take on, you know, some of the stuff being the same. There was a few new
things because yesterday they didn't have hardly any linens, like no linens. But today I noticed
that they had a lot more linens out. I mean, so they are bringing some, some new things out,
but there was a lot of the same things, like I said. So this is just another one of those
little Gibson. It's just very pretty. I think it's pretty to, um, I think it's going to be pretty to
put in with my Valentine's, Valentine's day decor. That's what I was telling y'all yesterday.
And then I got a three pack of these just because you can always use these in drawers and everywhere
just for storage. I like to use them in the refrigerator and everywhere. And the regular
Goodwill was trying to sell them for $1.69 a piece. Knowing you can get a three pack of these
for probably that same price at the Dollar Tree. I mean, I guess, I don't know. What's the Dollar
Tree charging these days? Sorry, my phone's going off over there. But anyway, yeah, I did take y'all
on my action camera today. So if it looked a little bit different, that's why. But everybody
seemed to love it the last time I filmed on it. And again, I'm just not real sure how these people
feel about you filming in the bins. So I tried to just, you know, put my shirt over my camera when
I walked in. Not that I'm trying to just do anything wrong or hide anything, but I just
don't want to walk in blazing with my camera out like, Hey everybody, here I am. So I mean,
I don't hide it when once I start filming and I'm in the bins and I'm looking around,
I'm not really worried about it. So I just really try not to ruffle feathers or push the issue.
Not being obvious, I guess is what I'm trying to say. I don't want to just walk in there,
and look like I'm coming with a camera crew all out and everything. Because people do kind of
get like, what is she doing? You know, other shoppers and stuff. I try to be real respectful.
And I do try to only film what I'm digging through in the bins. I try really hard not to film
people. Sometimes that's hard. They just walk right through and I try to cut those out. Or,
you know, if it's just like a second, I try to be respectful. But anyway, we just went down a
rabbit hole and I don't know why. What was I talking about? I was talking about these. So I
got three pack of these because they weigh nothing. And you know, there you are. And then
I got two linens. I will show y'all those once we get home. The off-white one, I will tell you,
is plastic. And I got that to use outside for the spring because I thought, well, it's plastic.
We could cover up an ugly table or something, put a plant on it, and it'll wash off and clean
off really good. And it looks vintage. And then the other one is the pink one that looks like it
was a really big bedspread or something and somebody cut it. But then they did sew it.
Excuse me. Okay, sorry. My camera just went black. Y'all forgive me. I am still trying to learn
this camera. It acts a little cray-cray sometimes. But anyway, what I was saying on that blanket,
but it is the perfect color pink. Let me just go ahead and show y'all the color because it's
good lighting right here. It's just a very kind of, I don't know, muted down pink. And let me show
y'all that edge that I'm talking about right here. You can see, but it's sewn right here,
like somebody's sewn it. So this is not going to fall out. I'm wondering if I can just take my
fabric scissors and cut really close to that and cut all this off. And I got this for
Valentine's Day decor. The Valentine's Day decor colors, I have a lot of this in it.
And that will be pretty to maybe lay on my ottoman or something and just add into that
decor. The same reason I got this. So look at these two together. Like, aren't those colors
really pretty together? Yeah, but I will lay them out once we get home. Well, let me just go ahead
and show you this one kind of up close too. And then I'll lay them out once we're home. But see,
and it's plastic. I know y'all probably can't tell on screen, but this is plastic,
but it's really pretty. And I'm just going to clean this up, you know, maybe in the bathtub
or something with a little bit of bleach and wash it with some Dawn Power Wash or something.
And then I can hang it out to dry and I can use it in my, on my patio is what I'm trying to say.
Lord, somebody just walked by and distracted me. They were waving at me and I didn't know who it
was. I still don't know who it was. But anyway, squirrel moment. But anyway, yeah, that's
everything that I got at the Goodwill bins and the regular Goodwill had nothing. They,
did y'all see that little cup with the blue stripe, the same cup that I just saw at the
Goodwill bins? Yeah. They were asking, what was it? $2.69 or $1.69 for it in the regular Goodwill.
And the other three have already made their way to the bins. And I told the girl working there,
I said, look, the other three of these have already made it to the bin. Y'all might as well
just walk this one over and put it, put it in the bins too. So somebody can have like a four pack.
She started laughing. But anyway, y'all, that's everything that I got. I will insert a clip of
these linens, like a full size clip of them. Okay. I'm going to try to show y'all this real
quick in between them sawing and beating on my back porch, because I've got to get this filmed
and leave the house and I'm not going to ask them to not do their job. So this I also picked up,
but I did not show it in the car. This Casa Luna, um, linen, I think this was a hundred,
I think this is a hundred percent cotton or something. I know that this brand is very
expensive at Target and it's just, it's just one, but it's a very neutral color.
And sometimes I like to take a standard pillow and just put it on my couch. Or sometimes I just
need one, you know, sham like this. So I went ahead and got it because it was so inexpensive
at the bins. I thought I would just go ahead and grab it. And you never know, I may come across
another one just like it at the bins and then I will have a pair. So I did pick this up as well.
I've already washed it. Like what is that piece of fuzz? Okay. So that is going to wrap up today's
Goodwill bins and regular Goodwill thrifting trip. I know they were kind of short, but thank y'all for
joining me on this thriftuary day here, going to the thrift stores and seeing what we can find.
I'm actually headed to Lowe's so I can get a couple of things for a project. And yes, we will
be doing it together. So thank y'all for joining me again. We love y'all and I'll see you back here
tomorrow with a brand new thriftuary video.
