I compare breakfast vs dinner at McDonald’s in Budapest, and the results seriously surprised me.
From classic McDonald’s breakfast items to an INSANE Hungary-exclusive burger, this feels completely different from McDonald’s anywhere else in the world. European McDonald’s always hits different, but Budapest might be on another level.

Hey guys, good morning from Budapest, Hungary, and that's exactly how I'm feeling right now,
hungry. And I heard that there's actually a lot of really interesting food items at the
local McDonald's, and since it's super early, let's go for breakfast. Whoa, check this out.
Chive McMuffin. What? Chive McMuffin, seriously. Oh, you can get fries this early in the morning.
And look at this, a BLT McMuffin. That sounds great. Chicken McMuffin with chives,
so you can get a chicken sandwich in the morning too. You can get carrot discs.
Oh, this is all, whoa, this is all sold out. What the what? Plum cinnamon pie. Oh my gosh,
I gotta find a place that has this limited sauce black garlic. What? And limited, uh,
this is spiced fries. This is all sold out. Wow. Thank you. Goodbye sucks here. McDonald's sucks.
So this is a really interesting McDonald's breakfast, two sandwiches and a pie. And this
is the sausage egg McMuffin with chive sauce. Wow. Okay. Cheese, lettuce, tomatoes. I'm excited
to taste this chive sauce. Interesting. Okay. I really like the chive sauce. This first of all,
I love chives. One of my favorite things ever. The flavor is very cool, creamy, but also bright.
And you're definitely getting a very fragrant hit from the chives. Like it's very distinct.
And the sauce brings a kind of like a, like a onion element to the sandwich. Both really go
with the lettuce to the sauce. I like it. I always read the sauce. Also, I love McMuffins.
So it's perfect on a McMuffin. And then we got this one. Oh my gosh. This is the BLT McMuffin.
So a typical McDonald's egg, lettuce, tomatoes, and bacon. I just want to say, first of all,
I love BLTs. The egg is good. Fresh tomatoes, fresh lettuce, but this is more like a, like an
egg sandwich with a bit of bacon than a BLT. I can't really taste the bacon. It's very small.
Like you get two little thin slices of bacon. That's not very crispy either.
Even when I'm eating the bacon on its own, it doesn't have a lot of flavor. I think the
McDonald's bacon may not be the most suited to make a BLT because I feel like a BLT, you know,
the bacon's got crispy, it's got thick. This is neither of that. I think they could have like
fixed this maybe by adding like maybe two more strips of bacon to make up for the fact that
their bacon is so thin and floppy. Right now, it's just an egg sandwich. I am really excited
for this. Hungary is really known for their cinnamon. So of course they should have a cinnamon
pie. That's great. Wow. This is unlike any other pie I've had at any McDonald's ever.
Of all my years of travels and eating at McDonald's, I never heard of a plum pie before.
Plum pie. Sweet, sour, and tangy plum filling with just a blast of cinnamon.
This is so unique. It's definitely the most tangy pie I feel like McDonald's has ever made. Usually
McDonald's pies are more sweet than anything else. This is more tangy than anything else,
but that goes really well with that sweet outer crust in the cinnamon. I think some people may
think it's a little too sour. I think it's perfect. I think this is a very well done pie. I really want
to try those spiced fries and that black garlic sauce. So I'm going to try to find a McDonald's
that has that. See you in a bit. All right, McDonald's for dinner. Let's check it out.
Man, this is so disappointing. So I really wanted to find that burger and the fries.
This is the third McDonald's I went to. It's just not there. It really is sold out like I think all
across the city or maybe even this whole country. I don't know. But I did get some sandwiches that
I've never tried before. Oh, also they had a thing called Coconut Fancy McFlurry. Unfortunately,
that's sold out as well. Oh, man. Super unique looking burgers and fries. Too bad I didn't get
to try it. So this is something I never tried before. This is their pork burger. Spicy pork
burger. It's the size of a McDonald's hamburger. Look at this. It looks like a brioche bun.
Simple pork patty, lettuce and some sauce. This is new. Spicy pork burger. This has got to be.
Oh, my God. This just got to be for some reason one of the best things I've tried at McDonald's.
What? Look at this thing. Wimpy looking little burger.
It's delicious. First of all, this is just a breakfast sausage patty. But this does not
taste like a traditional McDonald's pork sausage patty. There's so much flavor in this.
And for some reason, it's smoky. Yeah, it's a smoky pork burger. And I haven't isolated whether
the heat is coming from the sauce or the pork itself. Also, there's some crunchy onions on top.
I really like this thing. I kid you not. It tastes like it just came from a fresh charcoal
fire grill. Like, no joke. Tastes like I'm at a picnic. My buddy just grilled this for me.
Am I a burger king at McDonald's? It's a really good pork burger. Wow. Let's chase it with this.
So there's a sauce I really wanted to try. The black garlic sauce. I've only ever had black
garlic in ramen. And to have a McDonald's black garlic sauce is pretty incredible.
Of course, unfortunately, they are out. But this is their regular garlic sauce. It's wonderful.
This country and their sauces, the chive sauce, the garlic sauce. Love it. This is also new. I'm
gonna save what I think is the best for last. But this is also new. Check this out. This is their
McCrispy. And this is a new burger here. So this is their spicy chicken sandwich with loads of
jalapeno inside. Looks like some lettuce, beets, and cheese. Not bad. So I tried a bite of this
with just the chicken. The chicken patty itself already brings a load of heat. And this next
bite, this is all jalapeno right here. Oh, that's a double whammy of heat. This is the spiciest
burger McDonald's ever made. Wow. There's pickled jalapeno too. So it's sour and spicy. Yeah,
that's 100% a double whammy. Spicy chicken patty and jalapeno. Oh, they kept the season. These
jalapenos were sure. I'm telling you. Either Europeans have really learned to handle their
spice. More McDonald's are training them too. Okay, my favorite is always gonna be the beef
burger. So this is the Big Tasty. And they said it's a new recipe. It looks like a Whopper. You
know, a ginormous beef patty sesame bun. It's definitely giving off Whopper vibes, right?
Look at this. It's as big as a Whopper used to be. Whoa. Oh, this is so strange. So they call
this onion beef. Wow. They actually cook the onion directly into the beef patty. Wow. I gotta
say what a bold move. Oh, this is a crazy tasting burger. Onion directly cooked into the beef patty.
This thing is trying to channel his inner in and out. Look at this. Oh, there's a lot of onions
in the beef patty. Okay, I think it works. I think it works very well.
First of all, the beef patty is nice and big and juicy. The onions make the beef patty itself way
more flavorful. Also, there's a nice little crunch in it as well. So every time you bite into the
beef patty, there's a little hint of sweetness because some of the onions nice and caramelized.
You're getting some smokiness as well. Plus, you're getting the fresh onions. It might be
in my imagination, but maybe this is caused by the onions. I don't know. This patty almost
tastes like it's cooked in alcohol. I mean, I'm sure McDonald's didn't cook the patty with
alcohol. Maybe they did. I don't know. That's what it tastes like. I'm really confused by this
flavor. It tastes exactly like someone cooked the patty with rum or something. In a good way,
of course. There's too much added umami in this beef patty. Wow. This is a really unique,
tasty burger from McDonald's. I feel like this country has pushed the envelope a lot when it
comes to McDonald's. And I'm really sad I wasn't able to try out the three things I really wanted
to try. Like I said, I went to three different McDonald's. That's why it's dark out. I was
running around the city looking for McDonald's and this McDonald's, I mean, this is like nowhere
near the tourist area. This is a pure local McDonald's right here. But yeah, this country,
A plus when it comes to McDonald's innovation. I love the pork burger. I love this onion beef thing.
Again, there's some food regrets when it comes to McDonald's here, but everything is pretty good.
Actually, a lot of food regrets. That coconut fantasy thing sounds amazing. And thank you so
much for watching Leonard McDonald's food review until we eat again. See you later.
