Alexandra Eala vs Tereza Valentova 2026 Doha Round 1 WTA Match Highlights

Junior event for the juniors, much younger, 14 and under. Some real punch. The space was there, always looked like it was going to be a winner. Worked the point so nicely. Back at the core positioning of Ayala. A rare approach, but it pays dividends for Valentova. Not done yet. Whisker away. Game of fine margins, often said. Just missed out on the ace. And she saved all three. She had match points in that eSports final against Maya. Joint tiebreak. Valentova, however, responds with that. The set is sealed. And what a set of tennis it was. Between these two players who thrived in the juniors' second meeting at tour level. She won the first one, Valentova, and has the lead in this one. Yep, it dropped on the line. That was fizz. Didn't panic. Knew exactly what she was doing that first ball. They set up the second one. To try one of the first set. It went wide. That one inside the court. At the moment, it is Valentova who has the better of this one up by set. And three left. Not one hit. Just saw her move one way. In the first appearance of the main draw of a WTA 1000 in her young career. It's victory for Therese Valentova. And it's two wins in a row over Alexandra Eyal after they met back end of last season. Tiebreak was very pivotal in this one. She won that tiebreak. On the second set, more comfortable. 7-6, 6-1.
