Vera Zvonareva vs Victoria Mboko 2026 Doha Round 2 WTA Match Highlights

Vera's Vonnareva chasing hard. 100 event in Dubai here. Near here I should say. Laser-like backhand. Oh so quickly up to that. I thought it was an excellent half-volley pickup. Session action. 7-5-6-2. Such a tough forehand to read as Mbokko thrashes away a second consecutive winner off that wing. Oh it's magnificent movement again. It brings that electricity and so much fan support. People captivated by it. Another no-nonsense service hold from Vicky Mbokko. The 10th seed there rattling through that service game in the blink of an eye. Vicky Mbokko breaks through the veterans barricades. Wonderful opening the court with the forehand cross court nicely and then battering a fourth forehand down the line winner. Yeah nice to take and patiently engineered. Katerina Alexandrova the world number 10 on grandstand one. Too much pressure incoming from the Canadian. Got the match rather kind of low energy has Vonnareva sensibly. 10th seed Vicky Mbokko progresses to a first Doha around the 16 on debut with another statement from a rising force. A teenager playing like the future is already hers. She gets it done. 6-4-6-4. Just over an hour and a half needed. Four breaks of serve and only conceding twice behind her own delivery. Not at her very best today but there were good positive glimmers and plenty of them.
