I Shot My Best ASA Round Ever (Camp Minden Louisiana)

Is it good? One, two, three, four. What's going on everyone? Welcome to today's video. We're here, next day I say, at Camp Minden, Louisiana. First time we've ever had it here in Louisiana. The weather is going to be pretty good this weekend and we're about to shoot here in about an hour. Looking forward to it. It's going to be a good time. Today's going to be a little bit different video. We are going to do a up-to-date scoring by target. So we're going to mix it up a little bit. We've been getting our butts handed to us turkey hunting so it's good to break it up with some 3D down here in Louisiana. Ten. Yeah, I think you're on the, might be a ten. Right on the line. On my right? Yeah. It's kind of like lower left side. Can you see it? You're for sure safe, so that's good. It's for sure a ten. Yeah. This is actually like awesome conditions right now. The wind, really good lighting, some pretty easy targets so far. What do I do? I shoot two tens. Those who just don't like five target update, we are sitting four up right now which means that we, it was, what was it, 10, 10, 12, 12, 10. Yes, pretty good. I'm okay with that. Let us know. I think it's another ten, but it's too far. That was the closest target I think I have ever shot at an ASA. 13.8 yards. Typically there's like one in the 20s, but rarely in the teens, let alone 13. Do you think you hit it? I hit it, yes, but you got to kind of guess where your 13 yard mark is because I don't, I didn't have one. We got five targets left. It's actually been a pretty good round. I've been keeping it pretty clean, keeping them at least in the 10 and snagging a 12-ribbed now. So I think that's, that's kind of the strap is to play safe, snag a 12-ribbed now and again, and we've been snagging a decent amount of them. And aiming at the middle. And aiming at the middle of them and hitting them every now and again. That's the ultimate goal. That's the ultimate goal. Unless I mess up. That's the best I've ever done. Solid round today. That's good. 24 up. Finished with 24 up. That's the best round I've ever shot at an ASA. Super happy. Like sight tape was right on. I only had maybe like one bad shot where I wish I could like shoot it again, but other than that, it was a super clean round. So I'm thankful. Looking forward to tomorrow and we're actually sitting pretty good for a change. I still don't remember my number. Mosquitoes are so bad. Dude, they're just hovering everywhere. Oh, I just had a dead one. Day two. We just got to the range. There's mosquitoes everywhere. Is there one on my hat? There's like four on your hat. Yeah, this is a SAR. Nice. I don't know if anyone has bugs right here. No, but I just got bit by another one on my back. Dude, I might put this jacket on just to not get eaten alive. Five target update. We have 12, 12, 10, 12, 10, something like that. It's doing good. It's finally light enough. Oh, 12, 12, 10, 12, 10. That was good. Lovely. It's getting light. Mosquitoes are super bad, but they're dying down with the winds blowing in. Hopefully it gets light, lighter. We can start seeing some targets, start seeing some rings and we'll be sitting pretty good. 10 targets in, Chris. How do we feel? 10 targets in, still doing good. It's getting a little brighter. We're on a different side of the course though. There's actually a little bit of elevation that dips down, so kind of interesting. What target do we got here? Big down. We got a blessed bug at 40 and a half yards. That's really dark. The target has no light on it, so you can't see any rings or anything really good. Luckily I'm not shooting first, so I can aim off of arrows. That's good. That was good. Target update. 15 target update. I have shot three eights now and something happened. I'm hitting one and they're shooting and feeling good. I'm going to add a half yard, see what happens. It's like three, I have to add three quarter yard. Went right on. That's 20 arrows. Well, boys and girls, we're rolling out. ASA Louisiana is in the books. Really happy with my performance all the way up until the last 10 targets. Don't know what happened, but something was off on my bow or my sight tape. Something happened and I was hitting low. I know sometimes you can make excuses like that, but my shots were going right off in the middle and they were on low. I ended up having to add a half yard, three quarter yard, and the last two targets I hit pretty much where I was aiming. Is what it is. Still shot really well. Shot the best day round I shot ever and the best weekend round ever. I can't complain. I can't say anything. On the next, going to make some changes and we'll see you guys in London in a couple weeks here.
