Hey guys, Lucy here from Hunting for George. I have a home tour with a
difference for you today. I've been invited by Luxcon to
experience their latest display suite, The Address, soon to become home to 23
new residences in one of the most coveted pockets of
Melbourne. They overlook Fitzroy Gardens which I'm
strolling through right now and I have been told
they are as sophisticated as they are exclusive. Let's go take a look.
Okay, so this is our living area which is centralized around this
epic gas fireplace. Every home in Melbourne
needs a good fireplace but I really like the way that it's been sort of
surrounded by this dark, moody, natural stone. There's an awful lot of
texture here. That's a beautiful textured grey
wallpaper.
I really like the interiors. The architecture actually and the interiors
were done by Woods Bagot and they're quite known for their
sophisticated colour palette. You know, it's quite neutral but in here
especially there's a lot of grey tones and they've sort of just played with the
textures and layering of that. Lovely pockets of shelving
and the kitchen. So the living runs off the kitchen area and this is a fantastic
island. I really like the fact that it's
separate so you can actually access it from all four sides.
This is actually super interesting. Integrated cooktop
so it's seamless onto that stone bench top. I've actually
never seen anything like that before. I like it.
It's very modern. A couple of cookbooks. If you're lucky you might throw some of
those in for free. So here that's your hidden integrated
range hood and you've got spaces for your storage of
your spices. This is lovely too. This beautiful double
feature wall sconce. That's casting quite a lovely
ambient light around that space.
Plenty of storage.
It's got this lovely texture to it. A very impressive fridge and freezer.
Not just that though. You've got your wine storage as
well. I like the way they've actually just thought about the way
of bringing that in and integrating it into the kitchen.
Sometimes they're always hidden away but to be honest your wine needs to be easy
access. I saw a hidden light floating in here.
So this is smart. I always love a good prep station. So this is a great pantry
area. You've got your power so you can put
your appliances here. Make a ton of mess so that your guests
don't see it and then you can hide it away.
So it becomes seamless.
There is a ton of storage. That's a really good sized kitchen
and you've got a lot of area for entertaining and we do have this dining
space which runs off that kitchen area. Obviously this is a displacement. This is
not a finished apartment. So this amazing window seat should have an
incredible window overlooking that view over the
historic gardens but instead we've got a representation.
This would just be absolutely phenomenal having your guests around and looking
out over that view. A very good sized table and I like the
fact that you can mix it up with maybe a bench seat or you actually have those
chairs as well.
So this is actually a representation of the outdoor entertaining space. So
I love the fact that you've essentially got two dining areas. One
internal, one external. Phenomenal in summer again to be enjoying those views.
How about we go check out the bedroom?
There is a lot of storage in this bedroom. I really like the panel detailing
all along this joinery. We've got his and hers. So dual robes
either side. So no need for fighting.
I love this. I love the feeling of this bedroom.
You've got this wonderful kind of paneled bedhead detail which is the
other side of that storage. Integrated bedside lighting. It's just
very seamless. Beautiful feeling in here.
But this is something else. Oh my goodness. I love
this dressing nook. I can only imagine getting ready in the morning.
Popping on your perfume. Oh and looking out onto
that beautiful view of the city. That is very special. Not many people
get to experience that. So the master bedroom is very generous.
It also has its own master ensuite.
And it would not be complete without a very generous
bathtub. You know I love a good bathtub. And this is huge.
Just insert epic view of the city behind me.
There's a lot of that natural stone but in here there's a lot more light tones
as well. There's actually quite a lot of contrast
between the light and the dark. It works beautifully well. I like that
push detail. You've got recessed storage in there with your jewel vanities.
Lovely finishes. Everything just feels very luxe.
That lighting detail. So that's a variation of what we saw in the kitchen.
Beautiful smoky glass. And speaking of glass, I really love this
frosted fluted glass detail. Wonderful in a bathroom. Here
it reveals a very generous shower. This feels good. I really love these
dark beautiful kind of bronze fixtures and fittings.
Important for a little bit of privacy. I do like that.
Okay I'm going to grab a drink and then let's take a closer look at how these
new residences are going to come together.
Okay so this is actually a project from Luxcon Group who are very well known
in Sydney but this is actually their first foray into Melbourne.
And look they've started on a high because this is a very
exclusive address which is why it is called
The Address. It sits on a prominent corner position overlooking Fitzroy
Gardens and I've taken a look at the exterior facade of these residences and
it really does embrace that connection to its
greenery. The architecture and interior design for
this project was by Woods Bagot and they have
embraced its iconic location overlooking Fitzroy Gardens.
There's such a wonderful connection to the greenery and they also have included
that in the interiors as well with a wonderful
warm natural color palette. Each residence in The Address
gets to enjoy 270 degree views over the city and the gardens that will
never be out built. There's a mixture of 23
oversized two and three bedroom apartments as well as two sub penthouses
and two penthouses that have their very own infinity pools.
Yes infinity pools! This is not your average apartment okay
this is not just your standard entry-level pad, no this is a very
premium offering. It is high quality finishes and it's a beautiful design and
built in the heart of the city. The energy of
its central location is going to be celebrated on the ground
floor where it really will be a place to meet and wine and dine
giving it that sense of arrival. The architecture drew inspiration from East
Melbourne's rich architectural legacy and the landscaping runs up the entire
building so that the park actually follows you up
to your apartment. The interiors feature wall to ceiling windows and
sophisticated features have been selected throughout.
There's a wonderful natural color palette in here, it
very much is sophisticated, it screams indulgence, there's beautiful
hardware, it's very strong and it really does have a bold kind of dramatic energy
to match that city location. The kitchen is great, I really love the
scale of that kitchen especially that island bench and the fact that you can
access it from all four sides. The cooktop that was completely
integrated into that natural bench top, I thought that was really quite unique
and those little differences for me in the kitchen,
the lighting details, you know that strip lighting, the feature pendants,
the integrated kit and range hood, even that kind of concealed
pantry prep station, all those things go to making a phenomenal kitchen
not to mention that very generous fridge, freezer
and wine storage. The dining room runs off the kitchen and you do have the
ability of bringing in either a window seat or you can have traditional seating.
Again, it would just all be about that view to be honest, that would probably be
one of my favorite spots to sit. Glass of wine, casually watching the sun
go down, tick tick. These residences also celebrate
two different areas to dine, you can be outside or in and I love that ability
especially in those warmer months to be able to be outside eating your dinners
and having the space in which to have guests around is always really important.
The bedroom is special, oh my goodness, storage,
very important, I loved it, his and hers robes, so much joinery and the joinery
itself was beautiful, it was so detailed in its paneling and there was just again
wonderful touches in there, the integrated lighting, I love that
bedside detail, also that wonderful dressing look as well
that will be so spectacular to be able to sit there getting ready in the
morning and again just be able to have that
changing landscape around you and seeing the world kind of move around you,
I love that idea. The bathroom ticked a lot of boxes for me
because it had a big bathtub with a view so that's a big tick, I also really
liked those dual vanity areas as well and I just really love that frosted
fluted glass, I just think that's beautiful and I love the separation of
that toilet and shower area, I think it's incredibly important and I love a bit of
Obviously, I'm just experiencing the display suite so this is just a
small slice of what to expect from the address,
there are 23 one-of-a-kind residences, they have
different sizes and layouts, there's a lot on offer so if you are wanting more
information, make sure you head to the website.
As for me, I'm going to step outside and enjoy those gardens.
