What's up everyone and welcome to Art and Design. My name is Torke and today we're going to be
taking a look at Procreate Pocket 2, which is a mobile version of Procreate and it's designed for
these devices over here. So I wanted to do this outside. Maybe that was a bad idea since it's
pouring rain right now, but I wanted to see what I can do actually outside in the field. Most of
the reviews that I've seen on this program have been, well, inside. So let's see what I can do
in the pouring rain. Now I'm going to be using the smartphone to do the rest of the recordings
because it's going to be difficult to take this rig as you can see on the screen right now with
me. So I'm going to be using the camera function in Procreate in order to do that. So simply if
you want to access that, you tap on the lens icon over here. You say take a photo and here you can
start taking photos of what you find interesting. So the idea was to take pictures of textures of
things that I find interesting, the rain, and composite that to see what I can make.
So I guess the next step would be to see what I can make in these weather conditions. Let's check
it out. All right, so I took a picture of the turtle over here. I'm gonna position that over
here. I think that's fine. I'm gonna take another picture to use as a texture or to blend this
together somehow. So take a photo. There we are again. So I just took a picture of the plaques
over here. I'm gonna put that in the composition. I'm gonna see if I can make something right away.
Dripping all over the place. Okay, so let's see. Multiply. Get a better look. Position this over
here. Multiply here. Linear burn. Color burn. Color burn looks decent. It's an interesting look.
I want this to be lighter instead of darker. I don't have a very dark image. Oh, this looks good.
Lighten. Okay, now I'm gonna find something with darker tones to layer on top of this to get
the overall composition a little bit darker. But you see it's a little bit washed out right now.
So I want to get it a little bit darker. Okay, position this. I need to position this a little
bit to the left like so. Okay, so the turtle is interesting, but it's too much of a turtle, right?
You can immediately see what it is. So I want to do some abstraction to it. Scale it up like so.
Maybe rotate it. I could distort it also. I'm gonna do that. So I'll distort it. Pull it apart like so.
Do something like this. And I want to get that hexagonal thing over there in the shot. But I
don't want the edges to stick out too much. I'm not gonna dwell too much on this specific image.
Instead, I want to make a bunch of little images. And at the end of the video, I'm gonna show every
image that I make, and you can choose which one goes on to the next round, I guess. All right, so
let's pull up the other image again here. I'm gonna fill it to screen. Freeform fill. No,
doesn't matter. So I want to get this inside here. Let's see. Inner burn, maybe too much.
Color burn, darken it. Oh yeah, okay. Something's happening there. Let's see. Okay, we've got
something here. So the texture from the wood planks over here that you can see, this one over here,
seems to be coming out and masking out the green from the turtle. That makes sense.
Anyway, I think I'm gonna call it at that for this image, actually. All right, so this one is
getting somewhere. I'm liking where this is going. I might apply some mask, add some details here and
there to the image on the iPad, or over here if I have time. But the idea is that I'm gonna make
a couple of images right now, walking around this garden, taking pictures of stuff. Then I'm
gonna composite those and show you on the screen at the end of the video and you get to choose
which image goes on to make the final version. So I'm gonna make, let's say, six images and you get
to choose which one I'm gonna be working on in the next video. So I'm gonna speed through this
process because I don't want to be in the rain for longer than I need to. But I'm gonna show you
every image that I'm gonna be making on the screen right now, but it's gonna be in fast
forward. At the end of the video you guys get to choose which image is gonna be worked on in the
next video. All right, I'm gonna call it for this video. Man, it's getting windy. Let me know in the
comments down below which image you think deserves to be moved on to the next round, so being that in
the next video. So I'm gonna be working on one of these images. You get to choose which one.
Leave a like on this video if you liked it. If you want to see more of this,
let me know. Share it with your friends if you want to do that. I'll see you in the next one. Bye-bye!
