Then you've come to the right place

out—simple easy to understand and with plenty of examples
Welcome to my channel German with Nadine
Before we examine the other verbs related to spaces we should first
clarify what the verb "to clear" or "to tidy up" actually means
Moving things means removing them from one place or
transporting them to another
—it's always about movement
After that a spot becomes available or the position of objects has changed
We are clearing the building
The key point is that everyone must leave the building
The police are clearing the street
The key point here is that everyone vehicles and everything else must clear the road
Things get truly interesting when we add a prefix before the verb "räumen "
After that not only does the meaning of the verb change but the sentence structure does as well
By the way a prefix is a small word part placed before the root
verb Prefixes in German can be either separable or inseparable
And of course the meaning of the verbs is altered as a result
That's why we have verbs like aufräumen einräumen and abräumen
So let's directly ask the first question: what do we
actually mean by the verb "
to tidy up" Let's take a look
The verb aufräumen means to tidy up
The focus here is on returning items to their proper place and eliminating clutter
The space is left clean in the end
I'm cleaning the kitchen
We're cleaning the desk
Please finally tidy up your room
The prefix auf is separable
In declarative and imperative sentences the prefix goes at the end of the sentence
Now we know what "cleaning up" means
So let's take a look at what we mean by clearing away Clearing away
means removing something from a surface for example from a table
I'll quickly clear the table
Could you please take away the dirty dishes
Have you already cleared the dirty dishes
Also the prefix ab is separable
To put something away means to place or store items somewhere
I'm putting the dirty dishes into the dishwasher
Please put your books away in the shelf
I've put my clothes in the closet
The prefix "ein" is also a separable prefix
You've now learned three verbs with "raumen "

Like the previous prefixes it is a separable prefix
Clearing away means removing items from their current location

The prefix weg is separable
Rearranging means moving items to a different location and changing their arrangement or position

This prefix is also separable
After this verb we'll conclude with the verb freiräumen

The goal is to use this space Please
clear the table we're about to eat
I've cleared the space for the new sofa

Fortunately this prefix is also separable You 've
