Good morning.
I'm so excited to share this video with you guys today.
So I got a new toilet and I've talked about this in past videos.
I have had, I have had a, I've used a Boxeo.
I've used the waste management system. I have used an Ogo.
I have used, um, the Leveo.
I know people who have used the nature's head toilet.
One that I personally, it's just a lot of work to use.
And so I've kind of used so many versions of like composting off-grid toilets.
I've even done the bucket.
And I think I may have found the ultimate van life
toilet.
It is compact and it's kind of like the best of all of
them.
I personally think that the waste management toilet is like one of the best ones
that you can use. If you're unfamiliar,
you can literally just use a five gallon bucket.
You can buy a foam seat from their website and it's really comfortable.
And basically they have these little bags and you open up the bag and you,
it's like a Ziploc bag.
You open it up and you put it inside the five gallon bucket and you put this,
you wrap, there's like a bigger bag inside of it.
So you take that out and you wrap it around the bucket, put the seat on it.
You go, you, it has like pea powder, like coagulant powder in it.
And when you're done,
you tie it up and you put it back in the Ziploc bag, zip it up.
You throw it in the trash. It is the easiest toilet system ever.
And this is just like a really fancy version of that.
And I think it just makes it, it takes it one less step further.
And I'm so, so excited to show it to you guys.
So one sec,
it's literally just right under my bed where my old toilet was,
but it's on top of a shoe bin and it just doesn't take up any room.
I'm just blown away.
This is the Mottiwell toilet.
Let me show it to you. First of all,
it's very light and it's really compact for a van life toilet.
So this is the toilet.
It is so much smaller than my last toilet that I had and it takes up far,
far, far less room in the van. And when you are doing van life,
this is all prime real estate and you got to be very selective with what you put
in your van and how much room it takes up. So you see these,
these are the legs. They fold over out of the way.
So when you're ready to go, they click them in,
you click them into place. Oops. It's easier to do if I'm standing up,
you click them into place and now you have a sturdy toilet.
And so this is rechargeable and it comes with this cord that you use to recharge
it and it just plugs into the back here.
And this is also where the power button is. And when you need to recharge it,
you just plug it in, wait till the light is not flashing green.
It's solid green and you're good to go. According to the user manual,
once you're, um, once it gets down to 25%,
then you're going to want to start thinking about recharging it.
It also comes with mounting brackets.
So if you don't need to fold the legs all the time and you actually want to
mount it,
you can mount it and it comes with mounting brackets for these legs
specifically. So these are the coagulant couches.
And basically every time you go,
you're going to put one of these in the toilet and this will make your solid,
or sorry, this will turn your liquids into solids.
And you remember those big, huge refills for the Leveo?
They took up so much space under my van.
These are the refill sizes for this toilet and these are just like a ring of
bags and I'm going to put it all together and show you how to put it together.
I have not done it yet. I've seen lots of videos.
I have a friend who has this toilet and I'm just really excited that I have one
too. Okay. So we are going to get it ready. So you lift up the seat,
you take this off,
open up your refill bags.
So your refill bags are just like a circle and so you place it over like this
and these do have an arrow on them.
So you want to make sure the arrow is pointing up and then you can take these
off.
Then you place the refill bag cover back on and then you find the outer side of
the bag and then you will gather this and push it down right here.
You're going to find this guide and there's little wheels and you find the
center of the wheels and you just push this down and you can do it a couple of
times. So if I power this on,
I can use the manual button to lower it so that we know it's all connected.
Okay, so now we're going to lower the seat back down and we are good to go.
So now we are going to let it go through one time.
So now we wait for about two to three minutes and it'll heat seal and drop it
out of the bottom.
It actually has a countdown and it'll let you know when it's ready.
So as you can see, it's completely sealed. Now, since this was the first bag,
obviously the bottom is not sealed.
After the first run through when you change out the refills,
this bag is obviously going to go in the trash,
but your next bag will be sealed on the bottom and on the top.
So you can just throw it in the trash.
It's quite small and it's all biodegradable.
So now that the toilet is ready and functional,
if I have to go, I just put this in there. I go do my business.
And then I press the power button and it does everything else for me.
And when it's done doing its thing,
I just take the bag and I put it in the trash and it's so simple.
So between the size of the toilet itself and the fact that its legs fold up
over the body of the toilet,
the refills are super small and the bag of coagulant packets is so compact
compared to what I've used in the past.
And so I do have a toilet toiletry section in my van where I keep stuff like
that anyways, and all of that fits right in there.
Unlike my last toilet refills,
which were so ginormous and they took up so much space underneath the van
underneath the bed, um, in my storage part of the van.
And then the toilet is like three times smaller too
because of the space that my old toilet took up.
So I'm extremely happy with this.
I'm so excited to use it and actually be able to tell you guys what I really
think about it.
So stay tuned cause I will do an update on how I'm feeling about it.
But so far I'm so impressed and I'm really,
really excited to have this toilet because my last one was a nightmare.
And the thing about the composting toilets and the Laveo toilets is they are
great. I'm not saying that they're not great.
For my space personally,
they just didn't make sense and having to deal with compost,
having to deal with like the big trash.
I don't think that you understand how big the bag of waste is in the Laveo until
you have to take it out and throw it away. It holds a lot.
It really does.
But then you have to throw that in the trash and it can get really gross and
disgusting.
I've had those bags leak one time while I was taking it out.
It was just a mess that I did not want to deal with. The bag leaking,
it caught on something, but it's just like, you know,
you have to think about these things. And for me it just didn't make sense.
So this is really nice to have because for me and Ember,
like I have two people using this toilet and now I don't have to deal with any
compost. I don't have to deal with any waste.
I don't have to deal with big trash bags or cleaning anything.
It is, it does it all itself. And I just throw it in the trash.
Super, super simple. Like I said,
it's all biodegradable and I am just really,
really happy that I think I might have found like the perfect toilet for van
life. So I haven't seen this around.
I only know of one other person who has one and I'm excited to share this gym
with the world because I feel like no one,
no one knows about it quite yet and they do have a few other versions.
So feel free to go check out their website.
I will leave links to their website in my description if you want to go see,
if you want to check out this toilet or their other options,
they have some that look like more like normal toilets and some other cool
looking ones too. So go check them out and see what you think. Maybe,
maybe this is what you've been looking for too. As always, you guys,
thank you so much for watching and I hope that this video helped you out a bit
and I will see you guys on the next one.
