On a quiet block in New York City where brownstones line the street and neighbors look out for one
another, there's a warm welcoming place where every day brings a new chance to learn. This is
Bear Bear. Bear Bear likes to solve problems. And this is Piggy Pig. She asks lots of questions
and reminds us that curiosity is how we learn. Oh, that's Koala. Koala loves science and
discovering how things work. And watching over everyone is Miss Monica, a caring teacher
and a friendly neighbor who helps every child feel confident. And we can't forget Duck Duck.
Duck Duck is the youngest and the most curious of all. Welcome to the neighborhood with Miss Monica
and friends. Oh, wow. It's a beautiful day. I wonder what's the weather? What's the weather?
What's the weather out today? Hi, Miss Monica. What are you doing? Oh, I'm putting this potty
seat together for Duck Duck. He's learning to use the bathroom all by himself. But I want to make
sure he can practice while he's in class. We want to help too. Of course you can help. It's
wonderful when we help our friends. And when we're learning something new, we always need reminders.
How about this? When Duck Duck arrives, we'll read a storybook all about using the potty.
What do you think? Yes. All right. We'll do it. Hi, Duck Duck. You're just in time for school.
Come on in. Hi, Miss Monica. Is that a potty? Yes. Hi, Duck Duck. This is a potty seat for you.
I put it together for you because you're learning to use the bathroom all by yourself.
And everyone is excited to help you. You can practice with it today. Thank you, but I don't
have to use the potty right now. Oh, that's okay, Duck Duck. You don't have to go right now. But
everyone here is excited to show you how to use it. It's story time. Come on, everyone. Gather
around. Come to the circle. Today's story is called Potty Time Superhero. Once upon a time
in a cozy little house full of toys and laughter, there lived a little girl named Brooklyn
and her little brother Noah. Brooklyn was six years old. Noah was a toddler who loved to play
in the playroom. One day while they were playing, Brooklyn smiled and said, Noah, today is a big
day. Today you are going to use the potty. You can do it. I believe in you. Brooklyn knelt beside
her brother and said, when your body feels a wiggle or a little push inside, your body is
talking to you. When that happens, you say potty and you go. Then Brooklyn had a special idea.
She placed a superhero cape on Noah and said, you're a big boy superhero. Superheroes listen
to their bodies. Brooklyn explained, when we eat food and drink water, our bodies do important work.
They make pee and poop to keep us healthy and pee and poop go in the potty. Suddenly
Noah felt a wiggle. He stood up and said, potty. Brooklyn smiled and helped Noah to the bathroom.
He sat on the potty and tried his best. After a couple of minutes, Noah shouted, I did it.
I did pee pee in the potty. Yay, you're a big boy superhero, Brooklyn shouted. Then Brooklyn reminded
Noah, after you use the potty, you have to wash your hands with soap and water, then dry them.
Brooklyn helped her brother. When Noah was done, Brooklyn sang and danced. Noah danced too, smiling
and proud. Mom and dad came into the playroom and cheered. Yay. Noah stood tall in his superhero
cape because even little superheroes can do big things. The end. Do you have to go now, Duck Duck?
No, I'm okay right now. How about now? No, I'm okay right now. Okay. No, Koala, your body lets you know
when it's time to go to the bathroom to use the potty. Piggy Pig is right. When you get a feeling
in your body, you run to the potty. Right, Miss Monica? That's right, Bear Bear. When you feel
something in your body, you go to the potty. Let's say it together. When you feel something in your body, you go to the potty. I think I have to use the potty.
Tell me something's moving all around and jiggling. It's about to come. It's time to
I'm running to the potty and sit right down. It's about to come down. It's time to potty.
It's time to potty. It's time to potty. I just used the potty. Everybody clap your hands.
It's time to celebrate. Now let's do the potty dance. I use the potty. I use the potty.
I use the potty. Duck Duck, what did you learn today? I learned you have to listen to your body.
When you feel something in your body, go to the potty. Yes, that's right. Oh, Duck Duck, learning to use
the potty takes time and a lot of practice. Sometimes you get it right and sometimes you
still need a little bit of help and that's okay. Trying is what matters most. Well, guess what?
It's time for us to say goodbye. We had such a great day today in class. Let's say goodbye to
Duck Duck. Okay. Goodbye everyone. Goodbye everyone. Goodbye everyone. I'll see you again soon. Bye
friends. Hi grown-ups. Learning to use the potty is a huge milestone in a young child's life. Remember
to have lots of patience and make sure they practice, practice, practice. Sometimes they're
going to get it right and sometimes they're going to need your guidance. But don't forget
to celebrate those potty wins. You've got this and they're going to be fine. I'll see you soon
and I'm here to help. Bye. It's time for the hokey pokey. It's time for the hokey pokey.
It's time for the hokey pokey.
