Ronaldinho vs Frank Lampard (2004-05 UCL Round of 16 2nd leg Chelsea vs Barcelona)

But the team is not, Joe Coles preferred to Thiago in midfield First and second Now Iniesta He gets another tonight He would miss the quarterfinal first leg should Chelsea make it But that's a long way away at the moment 86 minutes and at least one goal Cleared by Carvalho Crucial slip there, Lampard now He set Kesman free, he's onside this time Godjonsson galloping up in the middle It's Heidegger-Godjonsson It's still Godjonsson It's 1-0 Chelsea What a great start That's exactly what they needed Seven minutes gone, they're one to the good, John Yeah, unbelievable My player of the year, Frank Lampard I think he robs, could have been Deco in the middle of the park Kesman makes Terry in with a typically John Terry challenge And Lampard again, lifting one forward Took Gerard Lopez out of the equation Yeah, a great first touch I was delighted for Kesman, he made a great... ...on the line this season and beyond It's been a huge couple of weeks for Mattia Kesman No doubt about that Challenges Well positioned Advantage then after the foul from... Defending we see most of tonight Godjonsson tries to flick on and Terry and Lampard Chelsea have scored from that kind of distance As we see Cole really running at Van Bronckhorst As John said, it's working well for Cole The shot's deflected And it's in! And for Chelsea! What are we seeing? It's coming in again And Ronaldinho, who you don't necessarily think of Valetti's ball in A one-hand ball It's not the first he's given away this season Oh, and he's so nearly got a hand on it In fact, he did get a hand on it But it slipped in You know, we're good enough to take this game Right to the end and go through Neither's got past the semi-final there last year And not beyond it Ronaldinho Very deep And he's passed though into Eto'o there And it might be in again here Here's Iniesta What an extraordinary goal! Time seems to stand still sometimes when he's on the ball And he's just dinged that out of nowhere I don't see the box, you know He's lifted his cock to his foot a couple of times You'll see it here It will be to cap an extraordinary half of football This tie is now four each already on aggregate And currently, Barcelona would progress on the away goals rule Then, you know, we could be going out in aggregate But Lampard, though, might not be Had such a good season But he'll be really disappointed that's happened to him tonight Here's Eto'o Always a threat Magnificent Ronaldinho, super strength You know, he turns in one touch round Unbelievable pass Into the goalkeeper's legs This has been some game Yes, Barcelona don't really do clean sheets They've only got one in their last nine Champions League games Pretty much everyone here at the bridge, I think, needed half-time Just to get their breath back after that extraordinary first period A bigger man than Paulo Ferreira And hopefully he'll get a few tackles Into the runner's Passes, eight passes You know, you see here One pass, two pass Giving the ball away We need to get a complete Xavi, Iniesta again Eto'o's one of them Willy Gallas, well positioned though Calm under pressure And maybe this could be Chelsea's moment Frank Lampard With a typical Lampard run from the back And a decent shot too Yeah, that's what you're looking for Frank to do Pick it up deep You know, drive up their defence And make them come out And then hopefully In towards everyone and very nearly there Lampard's header, he hardly had to jump It was right on the spot Once that Damien Duffgill went in The possibility of extra time was gone Now, here is Duff He wants some I'm sure he'd like some more of this Now, Lampard Keseman's there for the early ball Puyol Need to be a little bit more patient You know, we seem to be Trying to play the through pass all the time You know, looking for the killer ball It's a decent delivery into the box here Be trying a shot It is a shot from Lampard And it wasn't too bad either It had Valdez scrambling across Make the difference The save from Puyol's header from the corner Was outstanding as well He is Slipping just a little bit But one goal will change all of that Here's Frank Lampard Now Callas on the overlap After that Carling Cup win That was the best feeling he'd had In his career at Chelsea Here's Ronaldinho Glenn Johnson over to Covens Conceded a foul there Frank Lampard doing really well there now No rush, although he Slipped a good ball through there Lampard doing really well No foul there by Terrion Lopez Who was really playing for it Thankfully Kalina was firm At that moment at least Makalele coming forward with the ball Now Makalele with a big challenge there Ronaldinho Cavalier win Oh and it's a free kick Got the winner That man there got an extraordinary one
