Hitting with the Victus Nova LIT USSSA Baseball Bat Review

All right folks, it is a big day because we have the first ever composite bat from Victus. So they are part of Maroochee. One thing worth noting with the new Victus and Maroochee bats coming out in the next few years, a lot of the original engineers from my understanding that originally worked on like the Hype Fire over at Easton now work for Maroochee. And since that's happened we've seen some really good bats coming out like the Fast Pitch Asura from Maroochee, one of the best bats in Fast Pitch. Apparently their Slow Pitch bats are really good as well. So I'm very curious if this is a new era, a new chapter for Victus and Maroochee bats specifically in the youth U-trip space. So only one way to find out. Let's first look at the barrel profiles. These are both just colossal. So like half of the bat is full barrel and it's even, wow, it's even got the Supra by just a little bit right there. That looks insane man. So first things first I really just want to see what this thing sounds like and see if we can get like up to like 115 plus exit velo. If it's legit we'll do a big showdown inside on the hit tracks. But typically with composite bat high pitch is bad and low pitch is really really good. If you hear that bonk that means this thing's hot. So it only has like 10 swings on it. So we'll try to get it broken in as well. All right it's real light to start here. That sounds good. Gotta have that. That was 99 bro. Bro these baby hacks are all like 98. That was 101. 106. The barrel feels so big. All right let's open up here. Bro I think it's good. Oh dude I'm not even warmed up. That was 113. That's wild. Bro the sweet spot is so crazy. It sounds really good. Didn't get every last bit of that. 109.459. Guys the alarms are going off. This might be really good. That's off the hands. Bro it's like not broken in at all either. Oh we might be cooking 453. 113. Jeez it sounds so right. Like that's what you want a u-trip composite to sound like. That's going far boys. 111.493. Bro we got more in the tank. Let's get one more really good one. That's fast. 112. Not quite there yet. 108.460. The sweet spot is so incredible. Like I'm getting a lot of good hits around 110. I do worry it's just not going to be as hot as like a Supra or a Hypefire. Which we have both of by the way. You will see later. Because even like the Marucci, pretty sure we got like 117 or 118 out here. 118. Okay I'd like that to be about 115. 116. That's more like it. 104. Dude I'm really impressed by the durability. We are wailing on this bat in 40 degree weather. Granted the baseballs aren't that hard but I mean I'm not even seeing the slightest seam or crack on this bat yet. That's it hard boys. 115. Dude I love it and the barrel's huge. We're going to give this one more chance and then I'm going to swing a brand new and wrapper Supra for one half. I don't know if it's worthy. 112. I keep saying one more and I'm lying. Come on. 118. There we go. It really needs to break in. Like kids are gonna have a hard time breaking this bat in. It's very durable. That might be five. I don't know if I hit it hard enough. Yes. 111. It said 112 at first. 502 feet. It's been a while since I've done that so. We're gonna see if this warrants an indoor showdown or not. Brand new and wrapper Supra right here. I am worried about the durability in this cold weather of the Supra so. All right we got the Starship. Let's just hear it first. It should be a lot higher pitched. Oh it feels. Dude I think it's going to be hotter. That's off the hands a lot. That was 112. 419. The Nova's in trouble. We might not even have to go inside here boys. 116. 474. All right let's really open up. I think it can beat it. Terrible swing. The 115. The barrel just still feels bigger. It feels like my 115 zone so to speak is indeed a little bigger on the Supra. Where I think the Victus is like more forgiving. But this just hits it a little harder across a little more of the barrel. What if I told you that wasn't perfect? 111. 510. Bro we got more. Come on. Weird swing. That that was that was kind of hooky though. One more. That's gonna be fast. 119 miles an hour. So far it seems that the Supra is a little bit better. Let's get one more with each. That's a big one. Come on. 114. 499. One more. Didn't feel good enough. 110. Oh that's all of it. 117 with the Nova. It's really good but the Supra might have it boys. 117. 461. It's somewhat close. I also need to swing the drop eights so we're going to go inside and settle the debate here. All right so now we are inside the hit lab. First we are going to start with our drop eights and then we will move back to the drop fives at the end. We have a special bat to include as well and we'll be doing three brands for both drop eight and drop five. We have of course the current GOAT the Supra. We have the other best drop eight drop ten bat. It's a little heavy but the Easton Dub is a legend and then the drop eight Nova right here. We'll look at barrel size again one more time. So the Dub barrel should be quite a bit smaller. Yep quite a bit more on the Victus and yeah even more than the Supra. So for both the Supra and the Nova same exact barrels on their drop five and drop eight. All right our first bat right here the Easton Dub. Hit pretty hard. 110. Kind of hooked it. 113 with a drop eight. 113 again. Got all of it. 113. Three of them. 430. Good representation from the Dub. All right now we got the Supra fresh out of the wrapper. Oh I kind of missed that bro. This bat is cheating. How far is that going? 455. This is so much lighter. 112. Geez that felt so good. 114. This bro the Supra feels different. All right our last drop eight is the Victus Nova. We need some fireworks here. Yeah really swings similar to the Supra in terms of swing weight. That was 114. This is interesting bro. With the Marucci the Reckless the drop eight might have been better than the drop five. I'm curious if this is the same. This swings so light. 112. 109. Did that crack it? 110. We'll give it one more. Now it's breaking in finally. It really needs time to wake up. It's still good. It almost reminds me of the Hype Fire. Like the way it's kind of cracking like that but it still hits bombs. So just to see if it survives we'll get like one or two more with the Supra drop eight. Oh boy. 472. So it sounds weird but all I have is like good looking spider webbing. If you can see there no visible crack at all even though it kind of sounds funky. So for drop eights you're probably not going to break it as fast as I did but I still personally like for drop eight drop 10. The Supra or an alloy bat like a Marucci alloy is the way to go in my opinion. The Reckless is also money. And now we're going to give one more chance to the drop fives. We have the Nova with quite a few swings on it. The Supra with a couple swings on it. And then the bat I currently have my PR with outside with a Major League ball. 125. We are using slightly better baseballs for the drop fives specifically inside today but not the same balls we hit 125 with. Okay let's see one. See where they're throwing. 117.5. We'll get one more. That's pretty good. 117. Not bad. All right let's go to the Supra. Getting way under that. Oh geez. Okay 481. 116.3. 116. Hypefire is pretty broken in. All right the Nova. 114. I tattooed that too. Perfect. Perfect. Wow. It's like the Reckless. It feels so good it's just not quite up there. Huh. See if it can put the nail in the coffin. Supra. Supra's a little hotter boys. Oh gosh. 119. Last chance ever for the Nova. I really like it but I'm exhausted. All right boys it's the same situation as the Reckless. I really like the Nova. I really do. The Supra is just the move right now. The Supra is the best bat in U-Trip. And for that to change like I'm gonna need something that's kind of dramatically crazy. Amazing. An A-tier bat just that S-tier is taken by the Supra right now.
