Belize Motorcycle Adventure: Riding the Caribbean Coast!! - EP.329

Good morning it's raining like crazy and the weather forecast for the whole week it's rain I'm not really prepared for this weather I haven't had rain for a year I think I don't even remember when last summer I had rain so I stopped carrying overalls I lost my jacket liner somewhere but I do have some sort of weird waterproof jacket but then I have no dry pants and I was planning to camp here and I was planning to do off-roading here and it looks like at all well lucky we have good tires at least the tarp is not going to rain on us too much today but now we have a little sky let's make the most of it we're heading south hey oh why are you so twisted I don't know it is what it is for now oh come on quickly get on get on yeah you have to go on the top it was so nice to meet you see you later guys nice to see you have a great day you too such cool guys working there at the parking chilly this is good we're dry for now hopefully we'll be dry for much longer all right so we're leaving Belize city it was interesting I think that was like the smallest capital city I've ever seen only 30 000 people live here so I made it to Beniz this is well it's called what is like a megastore just here next to the bike no worries thank you so yeah this is the because I don't know if it's the hardware I don't know what to expect but people say go to Beniz go to Beniz you'll find everything you need and all I need is a gas bottle for my cooking stove so I've been to four hardware shops I didn't have it so let's see here no luck they didn't have it just I think it's just not available here looks like people don't even know about it so yeah propane butane gas bottle with the screw top for the stove um it's not available here in this country so if you're coming here make sure you've got one that's it have to be easy on our gas when we're cooking until we get to Guatemala I think we're leaving the big fog so long Belize city today it's a big day we're gonna do 180 kilometers which will yeah will take us according to my GPS nearly three hours so I'm guessing the but we're gonna end up on a nice beach is it because I've never seen it anywhere so this is your national animal right tapir thank you all right uh south I don't know how to work out what I'm gonna say for the night but south yeah okay have a good day thank you that was nice someone stopped tapir that's what it is I've seen so many of the signs on this road already and I was wondering what it is and there you go the gentleman stopped and now we know this is tapir the national animal of Belize I hope I'm gonna see one I really hope so look at the puddles still but apparently you've got option for camping so I think it's somewhere looks like this is the end of the road we have to turn around but it's just like I don't know I'm really lost I'm lost oh my god all my cameras are dead uh right well um there are no campgrounds here on the island mostly they are quite expensive hotels but I just found out there's one not too far from here that possibly they may have cheap rooms for me Plasencia Plasencia I'm not sure how to pronounce it but we made it to Plasencia Peninsula I tell you it was an effort to find this room it's just like there's so many little hotels here at the end of peninsula but no parking for chili so that was the problem but anyway we found it some this little like guest house this room is like 37 dollars which is very very cheap for this area because this area is not cheap at all so I think this is end of my commentary for today because I'm hungry I need to go and eat something and then I'm gonna go to bed early because tomorrow I'm gonna get up early and gonna explore this little heaven so I'll see you tomorrow Good morning it's not raining that's a bonus but it's quite cloudy uh well first things first let's see the beach finally so we're sort of able to walk through this like a little concrete walk which goes along the beach but I think the access to the beach is through here I think Let's see that So this peninsula is known for these beautiful resorts on the beach snow playing diving that sort of stuff actually it's quite empty I must say I'm so surprised and the main attraction for Belize is the barrier reef apparently it's stunning so a lot of people come here for diving unfortunately we won't be able to check it out because I'm sort of on the run so I'm only going to travel by land but maybe one day I'll come back here to explore the reef So that must be dried out coconut that was in the sea I don't know if anyone's there look at these palm trees the roots are exposed and they're reaching into the sea Uh-oh I have coconuts above me This is really cool have a look so they have created this concrete path so this one comes from the beach this one goes along the beach and this one goes to the main street and pretty much along the beach you have this souvenir shops restaurants mini hotels that sort of stuff it's it's such a pleasant walk Good morning time to leave this heaven and it's time to socialize I'm about to meet some riders they're not I think they're lady riders I'm not sure we're about to find out all right So I want to say in the winter season This year is like every second week I have a tour And you are the only rental company as well Because people can fly in and rent bikes here, right? So I have a fleet of 250s 250s, 150s and 190s And a brand new DR650 as well But basically like small bikes Which is really all you need for Of course What are they? They are Well, I have little Hondas And then I have these Chinese Honda copies that are actually pretty Pretty decent In Central America Essentially it runs on off-ramp bikes Because the import taxes are so high So they're Leafans Leafans, yay!
