Good morning, good morning.
How are you?
How are you today?
Welcome to Circle Time.
I am Miss Monica.
What is your name?
Well, nice to meet you.
Thank you for coming to Circle Time with Miss Monica.
Now, today I wanna write on our board, good morning,
because we haven't written on our board yet.
And today the board is all clean.
So I'm going to write the words, good morning.
Good, G-O-O-D.
Good morning, M-O-R-N-I-N-G.
Good morning.
How are you?
It's so nice to have you here with me today.
It is, it's so nice to have you here with me today.
Oh my goodness, did you hear that?
Wait, wait, listen again.
Put your listening ears on.
Mine are on.
I hear something.
Do you hear it?
Yes, it's our good morning train.
I think it's on its way.
The good morning train is coming.
How are you?
The good morning train is coming.
How are you?
The good morning train is coming.
How are you?
Choo, choo.
And we'll say hello to our friends wearing what color?
White.
Choo, choo.
Hello, friends.
And we'll say hello to our friends wearing black.
Hello, friends.
Choo, choo.
And we'll say hello to our friends,
all of our friends wearing green.
That's right.
Choo, choo.
Hello, friends.
And we'll say hello to our friends wearing yellow.
Choo, choo.
And we'll say hello to our friends wearing red.
That's right.
Choo, choo.
And we'll say hello to our friends wearing pink.
Yes.
Choo, choo.
And we'll say hello to our friends,
all of our friends wearing brown.
And we'll say hello to our friends wearing blue.
Choo choo, hello all my friends.
And we'll say hello to our friends wearing, what color?
Orange, choo choo.
And we'll say hello to our friends wearing purple.
Choo choo, and we'll say hello to our friends,
all of our friends.
And we'll say hello to everyone that came to circle.
Choo choo, thank you for singing the good morning song.
Thanks, good morning train.
We'll see you again next week.
Thanks for coming everyone to circle time.
Now, I have to get my, what's that thing I hold every time?
Do you remember?
It's my pointer.
I have my pointer.
Look at our circle time board.
We have been reviewing so many things this week.
We went over the number of the week.
We went over the letter of the week.
And we counted sticks and popsicles.
And we've been helping weather bear every day
get dressed for the weather.
And we even went over the shape of the week.
Now today we're going to do something special.
Something a little different.
After we review some of these skills,
then we're going to look over here to this board.
The board that I wrote good morning on.
And we're going to do a little writing together.
Now you can do some writing at home
and some drawing.
And I can do some writing and some drawing right here.
But if you don't have paper and pencil or crayon, it's okay.
If you don't have paper, it's okay.
Guess what?
You can write using your pointer finger.
You can write and draw using your pointer finger.
You can do it with me.
If you want to go and get a piece of paper
or a notebook and some crayons or a pencil,
you can stop the video and you can do that now.
Or ask mom or dad or ask someone in your home for some help.
But if not, you can always practice those skills later
after circle time.
Okay?
Great.
But we're not going to do writing until later on.
So let's review our circle time board.
Now let's go over our days of the week.
Remember, when we sing the days of the week song,
you can clap your hands or you can snap your fingers
or you can just sing.
Whatever you choose.
Are you ready?
Great.
Let's do it.
There's Sunday and there's Monday.
There's Tuesday and there's Wednesday.
There's Thursday and there's Friday.
And then there's Saturday.
Days of the week.
One more time.
There's Sunday and there's Monday.
There's Tuesday and there's Wednesday.
There's Thursday and there's Friday.
And then there's Saturday.
Days of the week.
Nice singing.
Nice singing, everyone.
Now, yesterday was Thursday.
Yesterday was Thursday.
So we need to go down one.
That means today is Friday.
And Friday starts with letter F.
F for Friday.
Let me find my small Friday.
I have my small Friday.
Let's put it up on the board
and let's read the sentence together.
We can do it.
Today is Friday.
Let's read it one more time together.
Today is Friday.
That's right.
Today is Friday.
Friday is the end of the week.
That means we got through all of these days
and now it's Friday.
You've been doing so much work.
You've been working very, very hard
reviewing all of these skills during circle time.
Let's keep it going.
Keep up the good work.
Let's keep going.
Now let's review our number of the week.
Our number of the week is, what's that number?
I don't have to tell you.
You probably remember.
It's number, say it again, number eight.
That's right, number eight.
Let's count our popsicles and sticks again
just to make sure all eight of them are still there.
Let's start with popsicles.
Help me count.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
All the popsicles are there.
Now let's count the sticks
and make sure all the sticks are still there.
Help me count.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
All of the sticks are still there
and you help me count.
You've been helping me count all week long.
How about this?
I'm going to use our board to actually write some numbers.
I'm going to use the color red.
Let's write one through eight
so we can see how they look.
Are you ready?
Great.
We're going to clean our board first.
We'll take our good morning words down.
So let's erase that.
Perfect.
Now let's use our marker to write numbers one
all the way through eight.
Let's start with number one.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
There we go.
Now let's use our pointer.
Let's use our pointer to count the numbers.
One through eight.
Let's count together.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
You did it.
One more time.
This time you count all by yourself.
I'll point with the pointer.
You count the numbers aloud.
Wow, you did it.
Nice counting.
Should we do it one more time together?
Okay, last time together.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Nice counting.
Great counting.
Okay.
Now that we reviewed our number eight,
you did amazing.
Let's move on to letter.
What letter is that?
What's the letter of the week?
Yes, letter F.
Every letter makes a sound and F says F.
That's right.
And yesterday I gave you a challenge
to look around your home and find one thing
that starts with letter F.
Did you do it?
You did?
Great.
Well, some of our friends actually sent me pictures
of the things that they found.
Let's see what things our friends found
around their home that start with letter F.
Let's take a look now.
Our friend Cadence, who's four years old,
found a picture that says family.
F for family.
Our friend Everly, who's four years old,
found a picture of a fireplace with firewood.
Fireplace and firewood.
And another friend sent me a picture of a firetruck.
Good job, everyone.
Thanks for your pictures.
Wow, did you see all of those things
that our friends found?
They found fireplaces and firetrucks.
Amazing.
You all looked all around your homes
and you found so many things that start with letter F.
And guess what?
You don't have to stop.
You can keep looking all around your home
and look for things that start with letter F.
Now, let's move on to our writing board over here.
Since we've been talking about letter F so much,
I wanted to actually try to write the letter F.
But first, we have to clean.
First, we have to clean the board.
Okay, bye-bye numbers.
We already counted, so let's clean the board.
Okay, our board is all clean.
And now, let's pick a new color.
I think I'm going to choose blue.
This is like a light blue,
like a baby blue, I like to call it.
I'm going to choose this color blue.
It almost looks like the color blue
that we have for our F and our number eight.
I'm going to use this color
so that we can practice the letter F here.
But first, I want to tell you a little story.
I want to tell you a little story
because I went to the store yesterday with my sister.
She drove the car to the store.
And when we got to the store,
she parked the car in the parking lot.
And then we got out of the car, we closed the door.
And then when I looked down,
I saw lots and lots of lines.
I saw lots of lines in the parking lot.
And those lines look like they were going down,
down, down, down, just like this.
Down, down, down.
I saw a lot of lines going down
and even more going down, down, down.
Do you think you can draw a line going down?
Well, first let's try it with our finger.
Pointer fingers up.
Let's try it with our finger first.
Everyone take your pointer finger
and let's draw a line going down.
Let's do another one.
Go back to the top, down.
And let's do another one.
Go back to the top, down.
Yes, lots of lines going down.
Now, for those of you at home who have paper or a notebook
and you have your crayon or pencil or marker,
you can practice writing it.
Okay?
And for those of you at home who don't have those things,
it's okay.
We're going to use our pointer finger.
So first let's start at the top.
Go ahead everyone who's going to be drawing at home
and writing.
Get ready everyone at home.
Let's go down.
Let's try again.
Down.
And now I'm going to try on the board.
Let's try again.
Another line going down.
And another one going down.
One more.
One more line going down.
Nice work.
You all are working very hard.
You're using your pointer fingers.
Some of you are actually using markers
or crayons and pencils.
Nice work.
Keep up.
Now, let me show you something else.
Okay?
I'm going to clean our board again.
Those were all of my lines going down.
Now, after my sister and I finished at the store,
we got back in the car and we drove to another store.
And then we got out of the car again.
We closed our doors again after she parked.
And guess what?
I looked down again.
And I saw lots and lots of lines in the parking lot.
This time, the lines look like they were going across.
They were going across.
Yes, a lot of lines going across, across, across.
Lots and lots of lines going across, across, across.
Okay.
Do you think you can draw some lines going across?
I think you can too.
Let's start it with our pointer finger first.
Everyone try with your pointer finger.
So, pointer fingers up.
We're going to draw some lines going across in the air.
Here we go.
Across, across, across, across.
That's right.
The lines were going across, across.
So many of them going across, across, across, across.
And remember the other lines at the other parking lot?
They were going down.
Ooh, let me show you.
And at the other parking lot,
the lines were going down, down, down.
Oh my goodness.
The lines were going down, down, down.
So I saw lines that were going across
and I saw lines that were going down.
Can you try drawing some lines going across?
Good.
You try now.
And then I want you to try drawing lines that go down.
Remember, if you're using your pointer finger,
you can do it in the air.
Across, across, across.
Now let's go down.
Down, down, down.
Now, while you're practicing on your paper
or practicing with your pointer finger in the air,
I'm going to clean my board again.
I'm cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.
Oh, my board is clean.
I'm going to change colors now.
I think I'm going to use,
let's do green.
Let's use green.
So now what I want to do,
okay, friends at home,
if you're using a notebook or a piece of paper,
you want to turn over the piece of paper
or you want to turn to a new paging notebook.
And for my other friends
who are using their pointer finger,
just get ready
because I'm going to show you something else.
You're going to draw with your pointer finger.
Okay?
Great.
First, everyone,
I want you to watch me first.
Draw a line down.
Then I go to the top.
Draw a line across.
Then I go in the middle
and draw a line across.
Whoa!
You can do it too.
Let's do it with our pointer fingers in the air.
And if you want to try it on your paper, you can.
Let's start at the top.
We're going to go down first together.
Draw a line down.
Now go to the top.
Draw a line across.
And then go to the middle
and draw a line across.
You just made the letter F.
You see this F?
It has lines that go down
and it has lines that go across, across.
One line down,
two lines across.
You all are working so hard.
I want to give you a little bit of time
to keep trying some more Fs.
So I'm going to say it aloud.
You can write it at home,
in the air with your pointer finger
or on your paper.
Let's do it together.
Let's do three more.
Okay?
Ready?
Let's start at the top.
In the air, for those of you with your pointer fingers.
Down.
Cross on the top.
Cross in the middle.
Down.
Across on the top.
Across in the middle.
Down.
Across on the top.
Across in the middle.
There you go.
My friends, you're working so hard.
You're really trying hard
and I'm so proud of you.
You're all writing the letter F.
Whether you're doing it in the air with your pointer
or you're doing it with a marker or a crayon or pencil,
you are doing it.
And I want you to keep practicing at home.
You can practice later with your family
but you keep practicing.
Keep up the good work.
Okay, I'm going to put my marker down now.
And now we need to go over to help Weather Bear
because he's still standing here and he has nothing on.
He must be so cold.
Oh my goodness, Weather Bear.
What are we going to put on Weather Bear?
We don't know yet until we find out what.
What do we need to find out?
That's right.
What's the weather?
What's the weather out today?
Is it sunny?
Is it cloudy?
Is it raining out today?
Well, I'm going to look out my window.
My window's over there.
Let me look out my window.
Ooh, the weather outside looks sunny.
It looks sunny where I live.
What's the weather look like where you live?
You may have to look out your window.
Go ahead, I'll give you a little bit of time.
So what's the weather?
Oh, really?
It is.
Well, since the weather here is sunny,
let me get my weather bag
so we can find a picture that looks like it's sunny.
I have my weather bag.
Here it is.
Let's take everything out.
Well, not everything.
Hmm, okay.
We're going to take out this picture
and this picture.
Ooh, turn it upside down.
And this picture and this picture.
Do, do, do, do, do, do.
Here we go.
Looks like a sun.
This one is windy and this one is raining.
So today where I live is sunny.
Which picture should I use?
You can point.
Yes, I should use the picture with the sun.
This picture represents sunny.
You're right.
Okay, I'm gonna put it on the board.
Now let's read the sentence together.
The weather is sunny.
That's right.
The weather is sunny.
It's a sunny day where I live.
The weather is sunny.
Now, what's the weather where you live?
Can you say the sentence?
The weather is very nice.
Thank you for sharing what the weather is where you live.
Now, since the weather is sunny here where I live,
we're going to address weather bear
for a sunny day that is also a little warm.
Ooh, I'm so excited.
So since it's a little warm,
let's see what weather bear should put on his feet first.
What should he put on his feet?
Do you think weather bear should wear snow boots or sneakers?
Snow boots or sneakers?
Oh, my friends, if you said sneakers,
I have to agree with you.
Sneakers is a good idea.
Since it's not snowing,
we can leave the snow boots for another day.
Sneakers are just right.
And remember, weather bear loves his favorite jeans,
those blue jeans.
So let's put on his blue jeans, his favorite jeans.
And since it's warm outside,
do you think weather bear should wear a raincoat
or a little jacket?
Raincoat or jacket?
Oh, say it again.
Oh, and can you point too?
Thank you.
I think I agree with some of you, a little jacket,
not the raincoat.
The raincoat, since it's not raining,
we can save it for another day.
Let's put on the jacket.
There you have it.
Weather bear has on his jacket,
his favorite jeans and his sneakers.
All right, weather bear, you're ready to go.
See you later.
Now remember, remember my friends,
we also have been reviewing the shape of the week.
Who remembers what the name of this shape is?
Who remembers, who remembers what this shape is?
What this shape is?
Who remembers, who remembers what this shape is?
What this shape is?
What's this shape called?
Yes.
Yes, my friends.
It's a square.
And a square has how many sides?
It has four sides.
A square has four sides.
Let's count those sides.
One, two, three, four.
A square has four sides.
You all have done an amazing job
reviewing your circle time skills here.
You've reviewed so much this entire week.
You remember the number of the week is eight
and the letter of the week is F
and we talked about all the days of the week.
And today is Friday.
We talked about weather and the shape
and you even practiced drawing lines
and writing the letter F.
Amazing.
I want everyone to clap, clap, clap, clap for yourselves.
Clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap.
And a round of applause.
Round, round, round, round, round, round, round, round.
You did it.
We made it to the end of the week.
So proud of you all.
Before we go, we have to sing a circle time song.
So I got my circle time song cards.
Do, do, do, do, do.
Here they are.
And I am going to pick one, one of the cards.
Okay, hold on.
Mixing them up.
Right.
I'm going to pick one of the cards.
Oh, I guess I'll turn it this way.
Ready?
How about this one?
Woo, let's see what I got.
Let's see what I picked.
What did I pick?
Oh, let me bring it closer.
It says head, shoulders, knees, and toes.
Do you know that song?
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes.
We are going to sing that song.
And this is a song that you have to move your body
and you have to listen to the words of the song
so you can touch the right body parts,
like your head, like your shoulders, your knees.
My knees are down here.
You can't see them on the camera, but listen.
Your toes, my toes are all the way down here.
Touch your toes, touch your toes.
Your eyes and your ears and your mouth and your nose.
We're going to touch all of those body parts.
So get ready.
Let's sing the song together.
If you want to stand up, you can stand up.
I am going to sit down.
And for those of you who can't stand up, you can sit down.
Are we ready?
Okay, listen to the words.
We'll start a little slow
and then we'll go faster and faster and faster.
Here we go.
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees, and toes.
Eyes and ears and mouth and nose.
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees, and toes.
Nice singing.
Let's do it again.
We're going to go a little bit faster, okay?
Just a little bit.
Ready?
Here we go.
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees, and toes.
Eyes and ears and mouth and nose.
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees, and toes.
Were you able to keep up?
Well, then I think you can go even faster.
Let's try it even faster.
Are you ready?
Great.
Ready?
Here we go.
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees, and toes.
Eyes and ears and mouth and nose.
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees, and toes.
Were you able to keep up?
You were?
Well, if you were able to keep up,
I think we should go even faster.
Let's try it faster.
Are you ready?
Great.
Get ready?
Ready?
Here we go.
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees, and toes.
Eyes and ears and mouth and nose.
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees, and toes.
I did it.
Were you able to do it?
Did you keep up?
Okay, great.
Let's do it one more time.
But this time, everyone,
it's going to be super duper, super duper fast.
So get ready.
I have to get ready.
Okay, I'm getting ready.
Super duper fast.
Ready?
Get ready?
Here we go.
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees, and toes.
Eyes and ears and mouth and nose.
Head, shoulders, knees, and toes, knees, and toes.
That was a lot of work.
That was a lot of work, but we did it.
We did it.
Thank you everyone for coming to Circle Time
and making it through the entire week.
You did it.
And next week, when we come back on Monday,
we're going to have a new letter of the week,
a new number of the week, and a new shape of the week.
I can't wait to see you next week.
Have a great weekend with your family,
and I'll see you on Monday.
Bye.
