A medical watchdog warns the FDA about a growing trend of sex-rejecting hormones being sold online
to minors without prescriptions. British Parliament moves forward with a plan to strip its citizens of
their centuries-old right to a trial by jury. And 37 missing children are rescued in a sweeping
anti-trafficking operation across Southern California. We'll get into all of that and
your quick hits now. What's up, guys? Welcome to The Wrap-Up, where we break down the biggest
stories of the week that you might have missed but need to know. I'm your host, Kasey. First up,
the FBI has issued a law enforcement alert warning that Iran may be conspiring to launch a drone
attack on American soil. According to a new report from The Daily Wire, the FBI's alert warns that
Iranian operatives, or groups aligned with the regime, could attempt to execute a, quote,
potentially targeting infrastructure or other locations on the West Coast. ABC News reported
that the alert was communicated to California law enforcement, stating that the FBI first became
aware of the potential Iranian threat in early February. Governor Gavin Newsom had this to say
about the alert from the FBI. Drone issues have been always top of mind and we've assembled some
work groups specifically around those concerns. But that's all I'll share at the moment. The Daily
Wire reports that U.S. officials are particularly concerned about Iran's history of using proxy
networks to carry out attacks around the world. Groups backed by Tehran, including the terrorist
organization Hezbollah, have long been linked to plots against American officials and Western
interests. When asked about potential terror threats earlier this month, War Secretary Pete
Hegseth said, quote, we're ready for that. We've seen these types of folks before and the American
people can rest assured that we're vigilant on that. According to Breitbart, the Trump administration
said law enforcement agencies at the federal, state, and local levels are increasing monitoring
and security efforts. Officials are watching closely for potential cyber attacks, drone activity, or
other forms of warfare that hostile regimes could use to strike the United States without a
Next up, a new report reveals online pharmacies may be selling dangerous sex-rejecting drugs to
minors without prescriptions, leading watchdog groups to call on the FDA to investigate.
According to The Daily Signal, a medical watchdog group is urging the Food and Drug Administration
to investigate so-called home-brewed transgender hormones that are rising in popularity. The group,
Do No Harm, warns that activists and online networks may be helping individuals obtain
or even manufacture hormone drugs without proper medical supervision or FDA oversight. The Daily
Signal reports that doctors and health experts are raising alarms about the lack of safety testing,
dosing standards, or quality controls in these underground hormone products. Without proper
regulation, patients may have no way of knowing what they're actually taking or the potential
long-term health risks. And these online distributors do not appear to require prescriptions
or age verification. While activists claim teens with gender dysphoria need experimental medical
interventions to prevent suicide, the Department of Health and Human Services says there is little
evidence these procedures benefit minors. In fact, studies show real harms from these drugs. One
study found that males who take estrogen to appear female face higher risks of infertility, diabetes,
certain cancers, and early death. An FDA study also found that suicidal thoughts may increase
among children who take puberty blockers. Watchdog groups argue that if powerful hormones are being
produced and distributed outside the medical system, the FDA has a responsibility to investigate
before more Americans are put at risk. In our next story, one of the oldest protections in the
Western justice system may be on the chopping block in Britain. According to Breitbart, the British
government has taken a major step toward limiting jury trials after a controversial bill cleared its
first major vote in Parliament. The proposal would allow thousands of criminal cases to be decided
by a judge alone instead of a jury of citizens. The reform, backed by the Labour government, would
remove jury trials for many offenses carrying potential sentences of three years or less, with
officials arguing the move is necessary to reduce massive court backlogs. Britain's criminal courts
currently face nearly 80,000 pending cases, with some trials delayed for years. More than 3,000
lawyers and legal experts have warned that the reforms could undermine public trust and increase
the risk of miscarriages of justice. Conservative Member of Parliament Geoffrey Cox had this to say
about the change. The jury trial is the cornerstone of our justice system. Do away with it and we are
in trouble. While supporters say the changes will speed up the judicial process, the UK government
is sacrificing a centuries-old liberty in the name of efficiency. Up next, a major law enforcement
operation in California has recovered dozens of missing children as part of a large-scale move
from authorities to target child exploitation networks. According to the Postmillennial,
law enforcement agencies recently completed a major operation called Operation Safe Return,
which successfully located and rescued 37 missing children across Southern California and nearby
states. The operation was led by the U.S. Marshal Service and the Riverside County Anti-Human
Trafficking Task Force, with support from multiple local, state, and federal agencies. Investigators
focused on children between the ages of 14 and 17 who had been missing for periods ranging from
one month to two years, many of whom were considered at high risk for violence, sexual exploitation,
or trafficking. Authorities say the operation also led to seven arrests, including a federal
arrest connected to child sex trafficking. Some of the rescued children were found across multiple
states, including Arizona and Nevada. According to law enforcement officials involved in the operation,
after being located, the children were provided medical care, victim advocacy support, and
assistance reconnecting with family members or guardians. Thirteen cases remain open following
the operation and the identities of those arrested remain confidential as investigations continue.
And now it's time for Quick Hit. Britain's government is considering removing images
of historic British figures like Winston Churchill from the nation's currency.
GB News reported they'll be replacing the Great Britons with images of birds or animals,
but don't worry, they'll be curated by a celebrity bird watcher. Starbucks founder and billionaire
Howard Schultz has relocated from Seattle to Florida, becoming the latest wealthy business
leader to leave a high-tax West Coast state for the Sunshine State. The move comes as Washington
lawmakers consider a new tax on million-dollar incomes, highlighting a growing trend of
entrepreneurs and billionaires choosing Florida's business-friendly environment. A protester outside
a Portland ICE facility accidentally set themselves on fire while attempting to burn an American flag
during an anti-ICE protest. And somehow they'll still find a way to blame ICE for this. Seattle
officials may delay transportation projects to pay for hundreds of anti-ICE signs ordered by
Socialist Mayor Katie Wilson. City documents indicate the roughly $45,000 signage effort,
covering about 656 locations, could force the Seattle Department of Transportation to, quote,
delay or defer other projects to cover the cost. A new oil refinery planned for Brownsville, Texas
could bring up to $300 billion in long-term economic impact and create thousands of jobs.
As a part of President Trump's push to strengthen American energy independence,
this would be the first major U.S. refinery built in decades. That's a wrap for this week. Make sure
