Israel reportedly beginning to strike security forces manning checkpoints in Iran.
Meanwhile, Israel's defense minister is vowing to take over parts of Lebanon if the Lebanese
military cannot stop Hezbollah from launching attacks at Israel. NTD's Jason Perry has the update.
On Thursday, Israel defense forces launching another wave of airstrikes on Iran. Smoke was
seen rising in a city in western Iran on the same day after a reported Israeli airstrike hit the
area. Israeli forces report striking over 250 Iranian attack drones and hundreds of
launchers in the country. And most recently, Israel says that Iranian soldiers have been
setting up checkpoints in Tehran and that the Israeli Air Force has begun striking Iranian
security forces at those checkpoints in Iran's capital city. Israel says the forces manning
the checkpoints led the Iranian regime's efforts to suppress protest in the country.
Meanwhile in Tel Aviv, sirens sounded while residents rushed to take cover as the Iranian
regime is continuing to launch missiles at Israel. This footage was released on Thursday,
showing where an Iranian missile hit in a residential area in central Israel.
No injuries were immediately reported. Another Iranian missile struck a kindergarten.
And fortunately, no injuries were reported there as well. Here's Israel's president,
Isaac Herzog, speaking at the scene. And that shows exactly what the Iranians
are trying to do. They're trying to hit at civilian population all over the country.
But they're wrong. We will delineate and hurt and undermine their capabilities as much as possible.
And I sincerely hope that the Iranian population will rise up in a given moment and bring change.
And the Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist group in Lebanon reportedly launched hundreds of
projectiles at Israel the night before. However, Israel's chief of the general staff says only two
struck Israeli territory, saying, quote, let there be no confusion. We are fighting absolute evil.
Here's Israel's defense minister, Israel Katz, giving a stern message to the Lebanese government.
I warn the Lebanese president that if the Lebanese government does not know how to
control the territory and prevent Hezbollah from threatening the northern communities and
firing at Israel, we will take the territory and do it ourselves.
On the same day, the Israel Defense Forces reported striking 10 terrorist headquarters
in Beirut within a 30-minute window, and also striking the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard
Corps Air Force headquarters in the heart of Beirut. Jason Perry, NTD News.
