An unpredictable day of living in a van full time... :)

Good morning! How are you doing? Honestly, today I planned such a cute morning. I was like, okay it's gonna be like seven, I'm gonna wake up and I'm gonna have the sun rising and this is gonna be so quiet and peaceful, just me, you and the port and Gigi. Um, no. I ended up waking up at 11. 11 a.m. I don't know what happened, my alarm clock just wasn't having it today. I think I actually switched it off in my sleep and you know when that happens and you just feel like the whole day is out of sync now. But that's not going to be us today. We've woken up by this very wonderful port, which is really cool and I'm loving it right now. Um, I don't love the amount of people here though. Obviously, it's later in the day and tourism season is coming. The summer's coming. I'm thinking, yeah, we go get the best almond croissant we can find and then we're gonna go somewhere else. Let's go into the town, let's try to find an almond croissant. That is clearly a very big mission of mine today. I'm kind of regretting wearing these shoes. Not as easy to walk in as I thought it would be. We're just gonna keep going. I feel like I'm gonna break my neck but all is good so far. Okay, croissant success. I got a raspberry one. Very excited about it. Okay, this is why I wear my go-go boots everywhere. These are giving me blisters. They've also broken and they were double the price. I wear my go-go boots all the time. They never let me down. I have these for my feet because, um, they're now ruined. I already had a bite. Look how fun this is. It's like a croissant but it's got raspberry through it. I mean, it is a croissant and it has raspberry through it and then there's like jam in the middle. Perfect. Okay, now what do we do? I actually don't know what to do 99% of the time. Like, I don't know where I want to go. I have no set plan. Nothing. Ever. I just drift. It actually looks like it's gonna rain. Am I in the mood for rain? I think I'm always in the mood for rain but just like aesthetic rain for like an hour and then we're good. Do you get what I mean? It's like I like rain but in a little bit and I feel like we're gonna get some. The security guard keeps coming past. I feel like they're gonna kick me out. We're just gonna go now. Oh, for ****'s sake. Great. This is gonna be so much fun. Oh, barrier. Please don't go down. Please don't go down. All right, we're good. Okay, so I found a really nice place. Um, it's like an hour away. It looks good. It's had good reviews. People have stayed there for like a few nights so I'm kind of looking forward to that. Hopefully it's gonna be peaceful as well. So many people this morning were around and it feels really awkward getting out your van when there's like a thousand people around. Even after doing van life for what, over a year and a half, I still just feel awkward. Like I hate going outside and they're just- because it feels like your house and you want to feel safe when you're in your house and it's just- everybody else is just outside. I don't know. It just feels awkward. It is what it is. The sea is here. Okay, so when I was coming into my van the other night, there was just this music playing in my van and I was like, that doesn't sound- it was like Indian music, that kind of thing and like that's not my 60s music that I'd play. So I was like, why was that coming from? Where is it coming from? It was coming from the cab and it kept switching on and off and on and off and I was just- I was getting a little bit freaked out and I looked into the cab and my steering lock was pressing down on the radio button. So the radio was just switching on and off of like this random French station. There's loads of vans here. Maybe I should join. That's so cool. What? I wonder what that is. It's really strangely green here. Like it's so- it's like a luminous green. It's really nice. This is such a cool drive. I mean, the roads aren't the best but like that bit of rock back there wasn't fun. This place is called Gordon and apparently it's one of the prettiest places in France. Oh, maybe I should look around. This is really pretty. Alright, let's go look at this town. I'm really excited. The only thing is, I've got my really shitty sliders on. Like, look at those. I want to cry. Honestly, they were £10 from TK Maxx. TK Maxx. Oh my god, I'm forgetting English shops. TK Maxx and I've worn them more than any other shoe apart from my go-go boots. They're disgusting and I hate these. They're even my shower shoe as well. Just to throw that extra bit of information in there that you definitely didn't want to know. I think it's just gonna break. Okay this has been a very nice visit. I'm just gonna get a coffee and collect the chandelier and then we're gonna go. Okay the lady I just bought the chandelier from, she's giving us a crystal. I'm not entirely sure. I think we're gonna learn about crystals so I'm pretty excited because I didn't realise that that's like a really big thing here. Like all the shops are just, there's just crystals everywhere. Obviously I'm in heaven with this. It's like Versailles everywhere. But yeah I think it could be interesting. Okay let's go. So they actually make all of these here and they make them on the site just like this guy's doing. I used to be obsessed with little things like this when I was younger so this is really cool to see. I fully just bought a chandelier from Gloria. I have nowhere to put it. What is wrong with me? What is actually wrong with me? You know what, I'm gonna stop saying that. Everything is right with this purchase. Everything is right with what I do. It's all just random and great and that's what life is. That was great what I just said. You are welcome. Don't know 100% how far away it is from here but I'm just so glad I stopped here. It was fun. Right. Take me to the place I am looking for. Oh god there's no service. There's no service. It feels so dramatic driving along here. It's really atmospheric. I just feel like I'm falling asleep but like in a good way. Not that I'm gonna crash my van. Just relaxed. This is such a nice drive. It is kind of strange though because this weather just doesn't normally happen here. Like it's literally rolling mist. Look. I don't know if you can see it moving but it's kind of crazy. Okay we're kind of going a little bit off track. There's quite a few nice places though. Okay I think I'm gonna turn back and go to that other place. Okay we good. We're good. The mist just isn't here. The fog's just gone. There's a caravan. I think this is as flat as we're gonna get which is fine. It's quite nice here. There's like an old building over there. I'm quite intrigued. I'll show you around. There's some people over there. Woods which is really nice. Weird building. But I think we've done an all right job you know. Oh but it's chilly. It's a shame. I wanted to see the view. I bet it's amazing. I'm sure we'll see it tomorrow. I think all of there's gonna be like hills and towns and stuff but we just can't see it right now. At the moment I just put her on this long orange lead and it's been really good because she can kind of just wander around freely and I don't have to worry about her running off. What? What is it? What is it? What is it? What is it? It's raining so much right now and I'm living for it. Somebody's also pulled up over there. Okay I'm just gonna make a tea quickly and enjoy the rain because it is so nice. The rain's going. I got the tea. My new cup and this tea is so good. It's kuzmi tea. I really like it at the moment. I only just discovered them. Do I want that? I'm so excited by this cup because obviously I don't get many new things in the van. There's only a certain amount of things you can have so new flowers or a new cup is very exciting. Very excited. You should be too. I've been using this one for months. It is disgusting. It's so gross. I don't know why I just didn't buy a new one and I've got my chandelier. Oh my gosh. I've actually got quite a lot of stuff going on actually and I hope you like my flowers. They are literally the most magical things. Oh now thanks to you guys after my brief complaint about flowers the other day. Thank you to everyone who contributed to a flower fund for me. This is quite possibly the dumbest yeah best thing I've ever done in my life. **** where am I gonna? Why? Where am I gonna put it? Yeah that works. I just realized that I don't actually have the drill. I was gonna hook it up here but I don't know what I've done with the hooks. **** it's heavy. Look how pretty it is though. I love it. Oh it's gonna look so great. I don't care if it's impractical or I have to take it down every time I move. It looks so cool there. Just above my flowers. Oh my gosh I need to just show you so you can like envision this. It's very important. Okay imagine that like that. How cute is that? Plus my flowers, my mirror. Take all the crap off that. That is one sexy thing. Look at that. I don't have a drill though. These are my parents and their van. They have my drill I think and I need a hook. I don't have a hook. We're gonna do this another day but it's gonna happen and it is gonna be the best thing in any van ever. This takes van life to a new level. Thank you and good night. I love it. I feel like sometimes you need that little bit of bad weather to I don't know relax you and reset you. I don't know if you know what I mean but it's just necessary. This steak is great. I'm very happy with my chandelier and I think tomorrow we're gonna walk, have a little look around. There's that abandoned building I want to see because it should be pretty epic here I think. Could be very wrong but how can I hope you know. Alright I'll see you in the morning. Okay decided to go for a late night um pancake session. That's right. Nailed it. Look at the view. Can already see it now. It was just fog earlier. It's gonna look so good tomorrow. Good morning. It is so nice up here. Like what? It's so windy though. Oh god I was so scared the whole night. Like I was just really worried. I don't really know why but like wind just freaks me out. Like really strong gusts especially like when you're in the middle of nowhere. Oh my gosh it's so nice here. What? But that fog like so screwed us up yesterday. The view is amazing. I'm just looking up all the emails you guys sent me from um last week. I asked if anybody wanted to meet. First of all I want to go look at this place. It looks interesting. Holy ---- it's actually someone's house. I thought it was an abandoned building. Oh my gosh that's so annoying. All right let's go. Let's go to the forest instead. Yeah it fully is someone's house. All right let's go for a walk. It is actually such a nice day. I don't really know where to go though. Kind of just wandering through. Don't exactly know if there's a path. These sliders weren't the best choice of footwear for this. Yay. You can go. Look at the sea right there. Angloria. What a combo. Okay I just washed my hair because it was bad. We're now good. I don't know exactly what I'm gonna do now. I might stay here a bit longer. It's quite nice but I don't really know if I want to stay here another night because if it's windy like it was last night that I literally had such a bad night's sleep.
