Hey everyone, it's Sam here. Thank you for joining. So today I'm going to show you how to make this
box style. I've done many of these before, not sure if I've got this size. This folds down to
6x8 but if you don't like this size, maybe it's too big, check out the playlist because I've got
lots of other sizes there as well. But I've used the adorable Peanuts collection here and those
papers. I've got a little wobbler on the back there as well but just all of the Snoopy images.
He's on his adventures and I think it looks adorable. It's very easy to make so let's get
started. This is the new Peanuts collection. You get your 8x8 paper pad. I'm using the stripy one
and this one with the scene with the cars. You get your ephemera pack. You get loads in there.
You get this fun set here with the wagon that you can build and then you've got the stamp so
they can be driving it which is lovely. You've got your layered stencil set and then two stamp
and die sets. So I've already shared the tutorial with this one and then today we're going to use
this one here. So you want two pieces of 8.5x6 and along the 8.5 side you're going to score
six and eight. You want to do that twice and then you want these three pieces here for us
to build the scene. These are all seven inches long. One is one and a half, one is one and a
quarter and the other is one inch. You want to score every one along that seven inch side at
half an inch and six and a half. Okay and just fold them so you've got little tabs there. You
could create some shape into this. You could use edge dies. You might want to have a grass trim,
waves, mountains. I'm going to keep mine just straight because I think it's going to work with
what I'm doing in terms of the scene and then you want two pieces of five and three quarters squared.
That's for the mats to go. This one's going to go inside. This one's going to go on the front.
I'm going to cut into that and then I've got these two pieces to decorate the sides and they're one
and three quarter by five and three quarter. So first you want to stick your paper that you want
to be on the front. So I'm going to have this one. I'm going to cut the aperture into that
and I'm also going to stick that side on as well whilst we're here. So they're all stuck down. Then
I've got this. This is one of the inverted scallop nesting dies from Creative Craft Products. I know
some of you might have these. I've used the one that's about four and a quarter square.
You can just cut an aperture with your trimmer. It could be a circle shape. You can draw around
something. It's entirely up to you. This one I'm going to cut in the middle. So it is going to
remove these but I've got them on the sides. I made sure that you can see them there and then
what I've done with this piece is cut a piece of cardstock that was a little bit bigger. So this
is four and three quarters squared and then I cut the same aperture into it so it gives me that frame
because that's going to go back over the top. So I'm going to get that cut and stick my frame on.
All right next we can start putting it together. So see how that all looks on the front. I'm going
to add my glue to the back tab here and you want to stick this one. So this other piece you want
to flip over so that side is on your right and then you can just sit this one down and just lay
it down flat so that lines right up with the edge. Then I'm going to stick this over the top so it
covers that join. Now you might want to take a little bit off of this because it needs to
fit comfortably. I think mine might be okay actually. Oh yeah no it is, it's fine. I'm
going to use a construction glue because that's just going to make that back nice and strong when
it dries. Okay next we can add these. So you want to take your thickest one and I'm going to use
the quick grab glue. Just add that along your tab there and you lay it flat and bring up this side
and just butt it right up to there and make sure it's nice and straight and parallel with the
bottom like so and then close the card. Again just make sure that stays nice and straight
and now when you bring this one up you've got your first section that's perfectly lined up.
Then take the next one down. Okay so there's the glue, then flip it over and this time you're
going to sit it right next to that folded piece and then fold it back this way. Again just make
sure it's really nice and straight and then the last one and add your glue, flip it over and sit
it next to that one and then fold it back and you've got now four equally spaced half inch
sections. If I bring this around you can see when this closes how that will look. So now all you
need to do you'll see that these sit perfectly over each other. You're going to add your glue
on each tab. You could do these thicker as well. I've done what was that one and three quarters
for this one but you could do one up here. You might just only want one and then lay it all down
again make sure it's all within the box and then just fold that side over and then just carefully
bring that one up and bring it back this way just so they can all fold both directions.
Okay something like that and now all you need to do is add your glue along this section.
So I'm going to go back to that way and then just close this and it should line up perfectly
that tab. Just give that all a minute to dry. Okay and there is your card all ready to decorate.
I've got that one to stick down on the other side so I'll do that one in a moment
but these are all the bits here so it's every image from this one
apart from the flying woodstock there I've used the one on the skates instead.
I'm going to have the sentiment probably on the top there or it may be on the bottom. I might
put a piece of the same colour green card around that to frame it. I'm going to have,
I think he's going to be up on a wobbler right in the back there and then I want to just each one
because they're all different directions so that one's quite sweet. I think I'll have them,
that could even go right on the very front, that looks nice but the idea is they're all coming in
from different directions. Snoopy on his adventures. So you just need to add a little
glue just onto the bottom of whatever it is and then you can attach that to each of those layers
and there's the finished card. I love how this has come together, got the wobbler
and then just every image. I think it's come together really well and it all folds down and
that will go into a six by eight envelope, it's a c6 size I believe and you've got all your space
on the back of your message. So I hope you've enjoyed this card style from me today, as always
