I just really want to finish this book. I have this much left. This is the sword of Kaigen.
Also, I really like the way this book is printed. The paper is just the perfect thickness, thinness.
I really wanted to start my day with a big and pretty breakfast, so I made some Japanese
breakfast, which I haven't done in a while. It was a really nice way to start my day.
I feel like I'm always thinking of different matcha latte combinations and with spring
right around the corner, I thought an earl grey strawberry matcha latte would be absolutely
perfect. This is my current favorite blush. This is pink as in. I think it looks pretty good and
I haven't styled it. Maybe I'll keep it like this. Today's gonna be a slow and quiet day at home,
although I do want to go to the bookstore later. I do have a few books on my TBR list,
one of which is fantasy, the poppy war, and another one which is philosophy, so non-fiction.
I have really really tried to enjoy winter as much as I can and really be present and enjoy
what's here right now. It would be a lie if I was to say that I'm not really really excited for
spring and I absolutely cannot wait. Also, speaking of spring, these are some perfume
samples I've really been loving lately and I think they are perfect for the spring. First is
Glass Blooms by Regent Butler. It smells like a really clean rose bubble bath. This one is
Pot de Peche by Keiko Micheri. This smells like the skin of a white peach, but it's quite clean
as well. It's not extremely fruity or sweet. And this one is a classic. This is Philosokos by
Diptyque. I think Diptyque is my favorite fragrance house. Smells like the skin of a fig.
It's green, a bit woody, outdoorsy. I don't think being outside, it smells like being in the sun,
there's fresh figs, and all is right in the world. Which masher bowl should I use today? I have a few
to choose from. This one is really pretty. I think this might be a good contender because of the pink
bunnies. I have this Mount Fuji masher bowl or the one that I use every day, which is this one.
This is kind of like the ideal thing I would want to make at the pottery studio when I'm back soon.
These are the two books I bought. I got this Korean translated non-fiction book. I read a few
pages and fell in love with the writer's perspective on life and I have missed non-fiction very much.
This is The Poppy War. The Sword of Kaigen has really gotten me into fantasy, so this is my next
fantasy read. I have learned that I really enjoy reading non-fiction and fiction at the same time.
I feel like it itches two different parts of my brain and I am learning different things in
different ways. Let's have a look. One of my favorite things to do is make a tea tray at home.
I really just love the whole process of choosing a tea and choosing pairings to go with it.
I find tea to be rather meditative and I cannot go a day without having tea.
Also, I tried cheddar cheese with tea for the first time. It was a very interesting combination.
I think I really like the mix of savory and sweet with tea. This is a drip tea bag I got in Japan
a few months ago. I had never seen drip tea bags before this, only drip bags with coffee, but I
really like using it. For me, I think the best pairing with tea has to be a book. There's something
about sipping tea and reading a book. It's just such a perfect way to start the day. I also love
doing it in the afternoon. I think any time of day, to be honest. London is still very very rainy and cold
even though spring is almost here, but I think rainy days like this can be the coziest. I used
to be sort of a rainy day hater but I think every season and every type of weather has its own charm
and brings about its own unique atmosphere and vibe, so these days I think it's best to just accept
whatever that's happening outside. This is a quaint little match cafe I'd never been to before.
They had a really interesting menu with things like a ice cream rose matcha latte and I really
recommend the earl grey basque cheesecake. It's very creamy and fragrant and not too sweet. They
also have quite a few different unique ceramics for sale, but I actually ended up buying this one
that I was using. It was their last one and I really really wanted it.
What perfume should I wear today? I usually wear these two. It's really sunny and warm today so
maybe something kind of fresh. Eau Rose by Diptyque.
I got a bunch of pieces for spring and summer so I'm very excited because I absolutely love
spring summer fashion. This material feels really nice. I think this is a good size too.
I got this really pretty short sleeve cardigan. It looks like this and I got this top from Heal.
It's like a halter neck and it cinches in at the waist. It's a really nice thin knit material.
I got these two matcha tints in Kyoto at the Ippodo store. These two are exclusives to their Kyoto
store so I've been delaying opening these because I will not be able to get them again unless I go
back to Kyoto. Although I'm not sure which one. I'm going to look this up quickly on my phone.
Intense, rich and smooth but well balanced taste and that sounds really really good.
This is really really rich and savoury, really savoury. It's more on the intense and rich side
but it's really really smooth. It's not bitter at all. I made this matcha olive oil cake last
night. I just got really excited at the thought of spring and olive oil cakes scream spring to me.
So this is a matcha olive oil cake with a cardamom cream cheese frosting which turned out really
really good.
