We have arrived in Budapest. We left the dogs yesterday and we took a flight very early this
morning around six o'clock and we're finally here. The journey here is so quick, it's just one and a
half hour and then we're here. But the only thing is that we have an Airbnb and the check-in time
is at three o'clock and it's currently 12 o'clock so we have a few hours to kill. So we're gonna
look in the area to see if there's any coffee shops or somewhere we can just sit and wait for
I am of course here with my fiancé. That's me. Are you excited? I'm always excited.
We've just arrived to the Airbnb and I just want to give you a little
room tour. I booked this place specifically because Kim has a thing with loft apartments
and I found this one for a very cheap price. But yeah, let me just quickly give you a little tour.
It's a little bit dark but it's kind of like the vibe, it's like a little dungeon. When you walk
in you have the kitchen on the left and straight forward you have the whole living room area.
And the ceilings are so high. We have this little cute courtyard over there that is very Hungarian
kind of vibe. I think it's really cute. You look very comfortable in that sofa. Yeah. I can barely
see you. Over here you have the bathroom with a very funny sign. I think they forgot an H in that
sentence. And there's like a lot of picture artwork. A lot of famous people. You have Marilyn
Monroe meeting the Queen. We have Elvis. Is that Adam Sandler? We have Muhammad Ali. And again the
Queen having fun. I mean there's lots and lots of icons. It's not my aesthetic but I kind of like
dig the vibe. It's really cool. It's really edgy. Then we have a big wardrobe here. It's actually
really big. I don't think that this video justifies how big this wardrobe is. And here you can see the
stairs and that's where we're gonna sleep in the little loft part of the apartment. It's such a
cozy view from up here. Can you wave? You look so small. Here is where we're gonna sleep and it's
very small but very cute. Also this is the view from the bed. I changed into this outfit. I was
thinking it was a bit appropriate because it's 15 degrees. It's getting warmer so if you're in
direct sunlight it's really really warm. I just thrifted these Prada shoes. Then I borrowed this
Gucci bag. These cropped trousers. I cannot remember how you pronounce the brand. It's
Orison. I'm not too sure. This one is from a car by Simonson. It's a leather trench. No,
it's a leather blazer. This one I just got from Saint Tropez. And my headband from Kool-Aid,
fun fact, actually made this brand make this headband because I needed a headband and I was
like, please create a headband and they did it.
So
so
good morning from Budapest. Day one has been successful. We slept like babies. I think we
just went to bed at like nine o'clock in the evening. We were so naked. So we are now ready
for another day. Breakfast is currently being made. It's just boiled eggs. Very bland breakfast
but we have to make some room for all the extra food we're gonna eat today because yesterday we
ate so much at the ramen spot but it was so worth it. I'm not sure if I have mentioned it but we're
gonna stay here for three nights. So two more nights. Today we plan to go for a coffee shop
first thing after we've done breakfast. Then we're gonna do a little shopping in the
vintage shops that are in the area. We live in the Jewish Quarter. He's also currently filming
YouTube. So around here in the Jewish Quarter there's a lot of cute vintage shops. So these
ones I'm gonna check out and I think we only have a reservation for tonight. Well, it's nothing
planned so let's see what we will end up by doing. Also the worst part of being on holiday is being
away from your dogs and one of the girls who is taking good care of AB, the small one, the little
puppy, she's been so good with updates. I just wanted to show you a few pictures she sent me
and I don't know if you can tell the dog is inside his sweater. I miss him so much.
And here he gets all the cuddles. I also want to quickly show what I'm wearing today.
The outfit is kind of similar to the one I was wearing yesterday but since I hadn't packed that
much I had to do a little rotation in the items that I have. I'm wearing vintage Prada I got for
$10 or $20 on Lestia. So cheap. And the same pants as I wore yesterday evening.
Got a turtleneck from Shop Decorated to keep me warm here in the morning hours. My stunning
leather coat from Cannes by Simonson and my little shoulder bag from Gucci. Also vintage.
Trying to keep it like simple but making the shoes being the main focus point if that makes sense.
Okay, let's go. Prada jacket. I also got a few goodies that I'm gonna unbox later.
We just got back home and I want to show you what I found at the vintage store earlier today.
I got two jackets for $100 in total which I think is a steal. They had so many beautiful
things and I regretted not getting the Ralph Lauren corduroy trousers. But the thing is,
if I just lean a little bit forward you can actually see my butt crack and we cannot have
that. It was just one size too small but I don't know. If it's still that small I might gonna
try it again. But let me show you what I got. First one is this trench coat from Hugo Boss.
Not sure if it's like very old or not but regardless I think it's a staple in your wardrobe
to have these kind of jackets. I do have already a trench coat in this type of color but I'm in
need in a bit more thick kind of trench coat and this one was perfect. Let me just try it on.
It's perfect for the spring weather and also what I like about it is that you can put the color up
and then close it here on the top and I'm really satisfied with my purchase. I might gonna wear
it tomorrow just because it's warm but in the shade it's actually a bit too cold. So I think
yeah, it's perfect. And this piece here, I'm not too sure what brand it is because it's not
labeled inside but what I like about it is, I'm not just sure if you can see it, is the way the
shoulders are and it has this rigged details up here and the buttons are very cool. It's also
structured and padded inside which also makes this the perfect spring jacket. This one is a bit
smaller size so I cannot wear too many layers underneath but I can either wear it like this
closed or I can use this little belt that comes with it. And because it's so structured, it has
this beautiful stiff silhouette. I don't know, I just love it. But my fiancé actually found this
shirling bomber jacket which I might gonna steal and it's made by Wilshire Skin. It has this brown
finish with this lighter shirling in the middle and when you close it, it looks like this. And a
kind of like a cozy, let's go grab a coffee kind of jacket. Also very soon we're gonna head out
again. We're gonna go eat some dinner at a place called Ghetto Gulash. It's a place that we stumble
upon two or three times ago. We were here in the Jewish Quarter and they make the best Hungarian
food ever. It's a very casual, low-key. I feel like it's very local as well and every time I think of
Budapest, it's the only thing I keep mentioning is that specific restaurant. So I'm very excited, also
I'm very hungry. I think it's important when you travel that you get to eat the local food and
appreciate the culture through the food and also through the architecture. So doing all the touristy
stuff is not really what I usually do. When I'm out traveling, I try to stay in the local areas,
try to do all what the locals are doing. So eating Hungarian food tonight, it's probably the highlight
of the trip. We just had a lovely breakfast at a spot called Dorado and apparently in the evening
it becomes like a restaurant where you can like drink natural wines. It's actually a spot that I
got recommended by one of the people who follows me. Thank you so much Esther, I love all the
recommendations that you sent. Thank you so much, really means the world to me. Today is so sunny so
I decided to take my new Hugo Boss trench that I thrifted yesterday and resell it. And yeah, Prada
heels, wool blend cars and vintage Gucci. The weather is absolutely amazing and now this is the
perfect time. There's literally no tourists inside, there's a few, but we were expecting to like queue
up. But overall this trip has been purely like chilling and not really doing all the touristy
stuff or stressing around. And I kind of felt, I don't know how you feel about it, but I kind of
felt like Budapest was a lot more beautiful this time than the other times. Maybe because we just
slowed down a bit and enjoyed every little detail of every street we've been on. Definitely the sun
is blinding me right now, so if I am blinking a lot. I think when you slow down you start to notice
all the small details. Felt almost like we just lived here for a couple of days and not being
tourists or not doing like touristy thing or being a tourist. So I might actually prefer this type of
traveling, I don't know, maybe. I think also the reason why we keep coming back to Budapest. It is
our fourth or fifth time. It's because we have a sentimental connection to the city. I think it's
because we got together. It was our first trip. Yeah, it was our first trip as we weren't even a
couple at that time. We booked this trip, I think it was two or three weeks into our dating. I think
it was one week into our dating. Yeah, I don't know. And then we booked Amsterdam right away. Yeah, so then we
came here and we weren't even together together. And then it's where you asked me to be your girlfriend.
But also just a really nice, amazing, affordable city. Definitely a big recommendation.
We are on our way to eat our last dinner of the trip. We are gonna treat ourselves with some
Italian food, which I've been very excited about because I really miss like going out to eat proper
Italian. I'm really craving pasta, but you've been talking about pizza all day every day.
I just want to share pizza and have pasta. You can't have both? Of course I can't have both.
