Hey Dan, can you explain to me some of the various differences regarding
complexes in Waikoloa Beach? I'd like to know about
build style and value and what there is for a variety in Waikoloa Beach.
Yep, I'll answer that coming up next. Waikoloa Beach is a huge resort and
there's a variety of subdivisions and complexes to choose from, but what one is
right for you? Hi everyone, Dan Palomino from the Hawaii
team and KW Big Island. Well today we're going to answer that on
Ask the Hawaii team and I'm just gonna, I'm not going to hit them all because
I'm not going to have time, but I'm going to give you a variety
to choose from or at least my favorites. When I think about Waikoloa Beach
I have a settlemental favorite which is Hale'i Kai and it's a favorite with a lot
of people for one specific reason and that is it's the only complex in
Waikoloa Beach or any of the complexes in Waikoloa Beach or
Manalani that I can think of that has its own
restaurant. Yeah, their Ocean Club is off the hook. It is
right on a cliff on the ocean and there is a full-time restaurant that you can
have lunch and dinner at. It is a huge advantage
not only for you as an owner when you're coming
to visit, but if you decide to use it as a short-term vacation rental, your
renters love it and I find that the people who rent there
rent year after year after year and keep coming back
because they love that restaurant and Ocean Club. So Hale'i Kai,
my number one choice. My second one would be Kolea
and I love Kolea. The finishes, the layouts, it's all fantastic.
They have great units and the ones that face
A Bay are the best units because they have these amazing views
and it's the only complex in the resorts where you can
actually walk across the street to the beach.
Like you walk across the street through the beach club
and into the sand. A Bay is right there. The thing about Kolea
is sometimes it's not, you know, a price point that everybody can get into.
Usually it's around 1.7 to get into Kolea
and it goes all the way up to four million dollars. But great amenity center,
terrific adult pool, great baby pool, access right on the beach. They've got
these little hale'i that you can rent out for guests. Like
if you have too many guests come and they don't all fit in your place, you
could rent out a little hale'i on the beach for very minimal amount
per night. Just open to Kolea owners. My number
three choice would be Waikoloa Beach Villas.
It's the one of the first complexes when you
first come into Waikoloa Beach. It's on your right hand side, built in
2005. People like it because all of the units
are right on the Waikoloa Beach golf course. They have
beautiful golf course views. Some of them have peekaboo ocean views. They're nicely
done, well appointed. Most of them have garages that you can
use and so that's a big plus for people here.
Well laid out, two different amenity centers. One
pool closer to the ocean, one pool closer to
the other end of the complex and both have fitness centers and
really nice. People seem to like it there and it's
great proximity to the queen shops. Literally it's across the street from
the queen shop. So you walk out the gate, cross the street and you're at
restaurant and shopping and that's why everybody loves it.
There's many more different complexes in Waikoloa Beach.
The one thing I want you to know is that Waikoloa Beach is predominantly
condo. Like I don't know what the ratio is but there's not a lot of single
family homes. If I had to take a guess, maybe 25 or 30
single family homes in Waikoloa Beach but it is predominantly
condo and the prices go anywhere like I said from an $800,000
condo up to $4 million. All right, I hope that helps and if you want more
