You're very complementary about Frank Lampard and the impact he's had on your career It's not just about your career but also the fact that you lived in Chelsea at the end of last season which I believe was your second season When you're truly fighting He's been sending you messages hasn't he That message was saying he wants you to stay because he wants to win the trophy with you Yeah he said "Let's win the Champions League next year " You know we have to do it And I'm truly impressed For many Chelsea fans the names Frank Lampard and Didier Droba Both players under Jose Mourinho's guidance transformed Chelsea into an unbeatable team Although several celebrity names have been brought in following the arrival of a Russian billionaire Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba remained the central figures in the ongoing celebration As a soccer player with a high IQ Frank Lampard never treated the 11-on-11 game as just a routine sprint who only has one goal: scoring Although that is absolutely essential for him adding small touches Yet meaningful it remains his favorite memory when recalling his best moments on the field Moreover for the man who once played for the English national team football is about good relationships Teamwork Especially when a player has a special partner to perform with it makes football more than just a game Speaking of the incredible partnership he once had on the pitch Lampard quickly mentioned the name Didier Drogba His teammate from Côte d'Ivoire was his best partner If you're asking about my best relationship with a player I'll always say Didier was the best We have a great relationship both on and off the field We can train together Every day we always try something new We're talking about a one-touch situation He'll make a run and I'll play the ball into the penalty area Frank Lampard said Lampard in particular was renowned for his ability to score goals Delivering brilliant passes and of course top-class assists The explosive central midfielder is a genius at timing his runs So he could suddenly find himself in the opposing team's penalty box and score a goal or accurately passing the ball to the attackers One of his best moments alongside Didier Drogba was when Lampard delivered a stunning pass during the 2007-2008 match against Manchester City On that historic day The Blues shut out The Citizens with a decisive 6-0 victory Lampard delivered an outstanding performance and made a brilliant assist That was the best of the 102 Premier League assists produced by Lampard At that moment Lampard delivered a perfect pass just a few centimeters across Manchester City's defense using the outside of his boot When the ball reached Didier Droba's feet the fierce striker immediately blasted it into the opponent's goal Meanwhile Didier Drogba also didn't hesitate to call Frank Lampard an essential part of his career at Stamford Bridge Alongside the English midfielder Droba revealed that Frank Lampard was the best player he had ever played with My guy I think Frank Lampard is the best player I've ever played with because he's a hard worker It's not sudden like this You have to work hard and you know she's smart To me a football player isn't someone who can keep the ball well but someone who is smart According to Drogba Lampard is someone who is always eager to improve Every day after training he and Lampard stay behind longer o try out some new combinations That's why Drogba had no trouble admitting that he learned a lot from Lampard We constantly try out new exercises and that's how we grow and challenge each other to score goals To create a sense of ease and comfort I learned so much from him Exploring the story of the best partnership between Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba That made Lampard the first player to taste the grass at Stamford Bridge The English player joined Chelsea in 2001 Lampard is the most successful graduate of West Ham's academy Harry Redknapp uncle of Frank Lampard He once predicted that the boy who was only 18 at the time would one day rule the world Redknapp often mocked for his seemingly simplistic views on football now appears as a visionary As we all know Lampard emerged as one of the most complete midfielders of all time Lampard stayed and played for six seasons at West Ham During that time he featured in 148 matches scored 24 goals and recorded 11 assists Equally important his role in midfield successfully helped West Ham finished in fifth place in 1999 the club's highest position in the Premier League era Following his brilliance as a midfielder and the turmoil unfolding within The Hammers' ranks In July 2001 Chelsea received a sum of 11 million pounds sterling o recruit Frank Lampard from London's Olympia Stadium Starting the journey with such brilliance Since the 2003-2004 season Frank Lampard' s career has been even more extraordinary Besides her own growing talent Chelsea also welcomed Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich With a massive influx of funds Chelsea brought in top-tier players who contributed to Frank Lampard's career development Although initially worried about Chelsea bringing in so many stars in midfield including Claude Makélélé and Juan Sebastián Verón Lampard accustomed to pressure successfully demonstrated his quality as a reliable player During the 2003–2004 season Lampard played in 58 matches across all competitions and scored 10 goals She led Chelsea to finish in second place in the league standings and earned a spot in the Premier League's best team lineup The following season saw no decline in Lampard instead he solidified his place in Chelsea's first team Especially when the team began training under Jose Mourinho who also brought in the striker Didier Drogba At the time the name Drogba was still unfamiliar to most ears He was only playing in French competitions Yet later he successfully showcased his true identity while wearing the Martial jersey Playing one season with the team Drogba played in 35 matches and scored 19 goals His brilliance also impressed coach Jose Mourinho feeling deeply in love with him Mourinho who at the time was given free rein to spend by owner Roman Abramovich mmediately mentioned Drogba's name to bring him to London Yet at first how shocked the Russian billionaire was when Mourinho mentioned Didier Drogba's name Abramovic is truly baffled even though he very likely could have provided a substantial amount of funding for Mourinho To buy a player of Ronaldinho's caliber Yet what was Mourinho's response Just pay and stop talking Finally Abramovich agreed to spend 24 million pounds to bring in the striker demanded by Mourinho With Drogba trained by Mourinho joining forces and Frank Lampard—already renowned for his genius—on the team It wouldn't be a major challenge for Chelsea to claim a great history Under Jose Mourinho's legendary guidance Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard found their finest moments As a football player Didier Drogba experienced an extraordinary resurgence He silenced all the doubters in his debut season by scoring 16 goals Meanwhile Frank Lampard was given freedom in the midfield Lampard and Drogba successfully scored 19 goals in the 2004-2005 season presenting Chelsea's first English League title in 50 years Moreover the two also succeeded in presenting Trofi League Cup in Mourinho's first season Didier Drogba emerged as the hero in the final match against Liverpool scoring in extra time as both sides clashed in Cardiff It became one of the many goals Drogba scored in the final match a product of his combination play with Frank Lampard Chelsea was transformed into the strongest team in England In the 2005-2006 season Lampard and Drogba still presenting the English Premier League title for Chelsea That achievement further proves that both players played a crucial role in transforming Chelsea into a giant team Lampard who performed brilliantly that season even finishing second on the Ballon d'Or list in 2005 He stood just behind Ronaldinho who is indeed performing at his best with FC Barcelona Meanwhile Drogba's contributions still cannot be overlooked It could be said to have reached a higher level when Chelsea played the 2006–2007 season The striker managed to score 33 goals across all competitions and contributed two domestic titles the FA Cup and the League Cup In the FA Cup final Drogba scored the only goal to extinguish Manchester United's resistance at Wembley Moreover he scored two goals in the League Cup final helping Chelsea defeat Arsenal Establishing himself as the team's sole striker Drogba officially became a threat to every opposing player He possesses exceptional skill and power when facing the goal His ability to score goals is simply undeniable It should also be noted that his 22 goals scored in the English Premier League competitions reached its highest level at that time during the 2006–2007 season In the seasons that followed the partnership between Drogba and Lampard remained brilliantly dazzling However that does not align with Chelsea's overall performance Chelsea experienced some turmoil after Jose Mourinho's departure Names such as Afram Grant Luis Felipe Solari and Gus Hiding briefly found themselves in the hot seat During Afram Grant's tenure the partnership between Drogba and Lampard once led Chelsea to the UEFA Champions League final Unfortunately they failed to secure the title after losing to Manchester United Lampard briefly equalized after Manchester United scored through Cristiano Ronaldo's effort However Drogba was sent off by the referee forcing the match to be decided by a penalty shootout The red card received by John Terry subsequently became a symbol of Chelsea's failure to secure their first Champions League title Then Carlo Ancelotti's arrival at Stamford Bridge briefly brought a breath of fresh air Drogba grew even more lethal with his 29-goal tally in the league during the 2009–2010 season Lampard also scored 22 goals in the league becoming the first Premier League midfielder to do so who scored over 20 goals in England's top division Equally important Lampard also received recognition as the league's top assist provider Frank Lampard is definitely someone on my all-time top list Almost all the goals I've scored came because of him After every training session we stay on the field We try to conduct a new experiment regarding the situation on the field That's always what we do Then we challenge each other to score goals and set up assists He was an extraordinary teammate Remember Drogba Back to the era of Carlo Ancelotti's coaching Chelsea continue to fail in their mission to become champions in European competition They consistently fall short and fail to reach the final Even when the Italian coach was fired and replaced by a trainer reportedly named He is Mourinho's successor Andre Villas-Boas Chelsea remains trapped in a cage of failure Europe still seemed too heavy for them At this difficult moment Drogba briefly considered leaving Chelsea He felt it was difficult to chase the dream of winning a European title with that London-based team Amid Drogba's confusion Lampard stepped in to comfort him He became the person constantly convincing Drogba to stay The striker himself acknowledged this directly in his autobiography The only person who has consistently convinced me to keep going is Frank Lampard Hi Dede I hope you stay strong because we need to win the league together and also win the Champions League Remember Drogba micking the sound of the message Lampard sent him Fortunate that the message sent by Lampard reached deep into Drogba's heart With renewed confidence the player from Pantegading held on and carrying the mission of winning the European title with Chelsea and of course Lampard The moment arrived precisely during the 2011–2012 season Chelsea secured the European championship with Drogba emerging as the hero At the time Chelsea was managed by Roberto Di Matteo Despite the challenges Chelsea gradually proved themselves to be a strong English football team One of the best memories from that time was when they achieved a historic comeback against Napoli in the round of 16 After losing 3-1 in Nepal The Blues fought back strongly in the second leg Interestingly in the match where Chelsea secured a 4-1 victory Diar Drogba and Frank Lampard were key figures They both scored on the scoreboard Not stopping there Lampard scored again in the quarterfinals Before Drogba's goal secured a narrow victory in the first leg against Barcelona in the semifinals Chelsea overcame FC Barcelona's resistance to advance to the final against FC Bayern Here the heroism of Diardrogba will always be remembered by everyone Thomas Müller effectively sealed Bayern's victory in the 83rd minute Drogba arrived like a savior in the 83rd minute With a lethal header Drogba equalized the score en forcing the match to be decided by a dramatic penalty shootout As a result when becoming the decisive referee Drogba successfully secured Chelsea's first European title An unforgettable celebration took place Drogba wept with emotion after finally fulfilling his dream of becoming a European champion All fans rejoiced and will never forget the perfect partnership created by Drogba and Lampard Yet like the ever-turning wheel of life the path between Drogba and Lampard also underwent change Shortly after a historic moment in the UEFA Champions League Drogba bid farewell in the summer of 2012 This situation is closely tied to Chelsea's management choosing not to extend their collaboration with the striker With Drogba's departure fans of loyal Chelsea will no longer be able to witness their greatest partnership At that time after his contract with Chelsea was not renewed Drogba continued his career with Shanghai Shenhua before returning to Europe to strengthen Galatasaray Alongside the Turkish giant he successfully contributed to winning the Turkish League Turkish Cup and Turkish Super Cup Drogba actually returned to Stamford Bridge in 2014 or a year after Jose Mourinho returned to the managerial seat of the team At the time Drogba briefly presented the English League title as well as the League Cup and departed for the second time this time making the United States a new port of call Yet when Drogba successfully won the trophy with Chelsea during his second stint one thing was missing from The Blues' squad At that pivotal moment Drogba was no longer partnering with his true friend Frank Lampard The reason is that Chelsea refused to extend his contract with the club Although in an interview Lampard felt very confident without him ending his football career at Stamford Bridge In July 2014 Lampard seized the opportunity to play for New York City FC in the United States She embraced a new challenge with an ambitious club The contract was signed for two years and everything seemed to be going smoothly Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard are two names that will always be remembered by all Chelsea fans Drogba with his ferocity during his time at Chelsea played in over 350 matches and scored more than 150 goals Torehan's performance has also been outstanding both collectively and individually Meanwhile Lampard who played as a midfielder holds the all-time top scorer record for Chelsea with 211 goals Moreover he also successfully delivered a string of trophies for The Blues From the Premier League title FA Cup League Cup Europa League to the Champions League trophy That final accolade was thus a fitting culmination of Didiar Drogba and Frank Lampard's brilliance satisfying Roman Abramovich's hunger for the highest success possible for a European club
