Kenny Chesney - The Story of Da Ruba Girl
AI Generated·May contain errors
These dogs have literally become our life. Pancho and Ruby, otherwise known as Da Ponch
and Da Rubadero and they have brought so much joy into our world. Pancho and Ruby fight over toys
all the time and Pancho really doesn't care at all about the toys but he just doesn't love the fact
that Ruby wants them so he taunts her with them until Ruby just has had enough. Ruby's
favorite part of the day is when she gets to run free in the yard and chase after anything
or when she's tearing up something, any toy or specifically she loves basketballs and specifically
she loves the two basketballs that Dick Vitale has given me as gifts over the years. For some reason
Ruby really loved tearing those basketballs up. That was her favorite part of those days for sure.
She loves to sin the sun. Another part of her day that she loves is when she smells food
in the kitchen and that's when her and the Ponch become professional beggars.
The part of the day that Ruby hates the most is the long walk from the bedroom to the kennel
in the kitchen at night. She hates it. She would rather be in the bed with her mama but she snores
way too loud. But she doesn't mean anything by it. Oh yeah and that dog loathes the shower and will do
anything to avoid it. The Ponch and the Rubagirl spend the majority of their day either craving
attention, working on their separation anxiety or simply at each other's throats fighting each
other and playing all day. It's just a constant playful show of affection and love but they get
really really tired and have to rest for a while and I think that's their favorite part.
Poncho was three this year on October the 2nd and we're not sure how old Ruby is. All we know
is that Ruby's journey is very unique, full of adversity, negativity, abuse and hate
until her mama saved her with all the love in the world. But in return the love that Ruby gives back
has changed all our lives even more. I bought a ukulele in Maui last month and three days later
wrote my first song on it. A simple reflection of Mary and Ruby's journey. A thank you to the best
pit bull or boxer bull terrier I've ever met and a song about how much our lives are better and full
because of a Daruba Girl.
And there like a lost string of pearls was Daruba Girl. Her best friend's name is Poncho
and she loves him oh my gosh like frosty paws. She hates the mowers and the marrow
like she hates to get a walk. She's Daru. She protects this house and home
from the turkey and the deer. She won't ever be anywhere around here. She'll even chase away
the squirrels. That's Daruba Girl. She feels pretty with her painted toes. Ruby Red Claws.
That's what ladies do. She just appeared in her first video and it's coming out real soon.
She'll be known all over the Daruba string of pearls. Her hair doesn't grow and it doesn't curl.
Leave and chase away the squirrels. She'll be known all over Daruba Girl.
