Welcome back to another video with Paige.
What are we working on?
We're going to check some stuff on my Reckoning.
Is that correct?
Yeah, we just want to give it a once over.
You had a couple of weird highs there in that match
and I feel like you were shooting
a little bit better than that.
So we're going to give her a once over
and just see basically what we can find.
Get that big Bertha from over there.
The stabilizer is about half in, so.
Probably should put it the same, huh?
Yeah, that would probably help.
Here's our first step.
That's just easier to work with it
once we get all that off.
We have some new stops that we can try later too.
So I'm pretty excited.
I did the testing for those.
Did you?
I really like them.
Good, good, good.
So I'm curious to see what you think.
So what's the main difference between the stops?
They're softer.
So the stops that it comes with,
the ones you have on there right now,
you can run, come on, easy.
You can run them two different ways
and you actually have them the more aggressive way right now.
So see the flat way?
Oh yeah.
You can flip them and run them to a point
and the point's actually softer.
Because think if your finger was hitting the cable like this
versus hitting the cable like this,
it's gonna be more give.
But those are even softer than this point.
So one thing that I noticed is when I get a little nervous
and I start to pull, when I pull hard,
the bow would start to kind of move around
and when I put the new stops on, it would steady up
instead of get a little crazy.
I like the sound of that.
My draw is a little bit broken.
Don't judge me.
I like it.
I'm supposed to have a new one coming, but we'll see.
Okay, so now we go check your stops
and here's how I cheat.
So that way I can get this where I want
and then I can actually test stuff.
So I just cheat with that
because obviously my arm's too short.
So we wanna look at when they hit the cables
and interestingly enough,
your bottom's like full touchy there.
And see how your top is really behind.
I do see that.
Now would that potentially lead to some high shots?
So I actually run mine like that on purpose,
but I think what we should do is I'll change it
and then I will have you test it how it is.
We'll test it even and we'll test it top ahead
and we'll see and you should feel a difference
and see a difference on your aiming.
Now where this could give you high shots,
it absolutely can, is if you hit the back wall
and you stop, let's say here,
where this stop's pretty seated and this one's off,
let's say you pull in like that little extra bit on the cam,
you can see how much the cam moves there, right?
And you're aiming, aiming, aiming
and you get just a little, little bit relaxed
and it starts to creep just like that,
that tiny little bit.
You're still in the valley and you're still on the wall
and that stop is still seated solid.
That can give you some highs.
So, definitely something to test.
I like mine like that, actually.
For me, when I run, and only on the Gen 2,
for whatever reason, when I run the bottom ahead,
it feels like it wants to pick the bow up a little bit
for me.
Every Gen 2, I've run that way but one.
But if you're not strong on the back wall,
it might be better for you to run even.
And I wonder if that could be the case
of me talking about how my issue with the target bow
has continued to be fatigued
from not shooting the heavier bow enough.
That could easily make sense
that a couple of them are creeping.
Yes, 100%.
So, first thing we're gonna do,
and you like your drawing.
Yeah, it feels great.
Bow feels really good.
So, whenever we start playing with the cables,
it is, is that 39?
It is.
So, do you use the TimeLock
or are you gonna actually twist the cables?
No, I'm gonna do the cables.
The reason why, and I love TimeLock
in the sense of, if I'm in a pinch, I'm in a bind,
I'm hunting, whatever, I'm at a tournament,
I need something quick fix.
But what I love about the cables is,
and I'm gonna show you, I'll give you the real experience
of what everybody should do,
is I know exactly what I did.
So, I'm just gonna write down exactly what we do.
And if you hate it, we can go right back,
the exact amount, I have no question.
It's not like, oh, did I go a little quarter turn
or maybe a little more than a quarter turn.
So, I use TimeLock in the application of,
I don't have a choice.
But if I have a choice and I have a bow press here,
because I learned so many years ago on the bow press,
I tend to lean toward that.
Got it.
So, basically the TimeLock you use as like a backup.
Yeah.
You know, you only got an Allen wrench.
Yes, or maybe I want like the tiniest adjustment
to go in between a half twist.
Okay.
Then it would work good too.
So, there's a couple different ways we can do this.
So, your bottom is hitting first.
So, to fix it, make them even,
we can put twists in the bottom cable,
take twists out of the top cable,
or we can do a combination.
Now, when we put twists in the bottom cable,
it's going to make your draw length longer.
So, we need about a full twist to get you even.
That's guessing, but I know the cam's full enough.
It's going to get us close.
So, we can do a full twist here, full twist out of here.
So, you're either going to get significantly longer,
not significantly, but enough.
It matters.
Or a little bit shorter, or we split the difference.
That sounds good.
So, I say we split the difference.
All right.
So.
So, then your draw lengths stay in roughly the same,
but you're getting different timing.
A full, yeah, a full different,
full twist different on timing,
but we're going to keep the draw length
as close to the same as we can.
All right.
So, bottom is ahead.
So, we're going to put a half twist in the bottom.
And then, on the Bowtex, one thing you always have to check,
and this one's not in, but I'll do it when I'm done,
is that this is in that little groove over there.
Okay.
Missed that a few times.
So, and then a half out of the top.
I would be so nervous if I did miss that,
I would like put the strings
and four tables in the wrong.
It's totally fine.
So, when you pull on it, you kind of know,
but see how, I'm going to pop it out on purpose
so you can see, see how it'll stay on the peg,
but it clips out of that.
Oh, yeah.
So, you always just want to make sure
that they're both seated under there.
Okay.
That's about the only thing you've got to look for.
Other than that, all the pegs and grooves
and everything are really, really good.
And I always double, triple check.
I'm going to do it more on your bow than I would on mine,
because, you know.
It's great content if it, you know, blows up.
I would rather not get blamed for that.
You just shot your first 300 yesterday.
Okay.
I don't plan on blowing your bow up today.
We're going to do my second one today on our rematch.
So, if you guys haven't already, go to the first video,
which is us doing a Rushmore rumble.
We're going to do some stuff on the bow.
She's going to teach us some knowledge and tips and tricks.
And then we are going to, I think, do a Vegas rematch later.
What do you think of that?
So, stay tuned to all the stuff.
Whatever works.
Don't mind me enabling the broken draw board.
And she got tons of good info.
So, check her out on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube.
And why don't you, while you're doing this,
tell me about the insight program a little bit.
Yeah, that's so exciting.
So, basically, as you're starting to learn too,
archery is a lot mental.
And a lot of people spend all their time
doing stuff like this,
but they don't spend any time doing mental practice.
And so, that was something that I did very young.
That looks money, huh?
Yeah.
So, check those.
You can see that each tip hits.
I'm going to just slow bow out and slow come in.
So, the one tip hits and it rolls around.
And I'm looking at the both backs of the seat
at the same time.
So, that's really, really pretty good.
So, now, let's have you shoot back and see what you think.
And you should feel like the draw cycle
sometimes even feels different.
Draw cycle, back wall, and how it aims.
So, we're going to pay attention to all that.
But, essentially, I started working on my mental game
when I was a little kid.
And did a whole bunch of crazy things over the years.
And finally, kind of stumbled upon the product
that I've now finally launched.
But, all it is is guided audio recordings
that essentially help you fill in the building blocks
that you're missing in your subconscious mind.
So, which, the heavier one?
The left.
Why do they look like they're so small?
They're pretty close.
They are close.
I was like, wait a minute, why can I not tell?
I did do the guided meditation a couple of times.
So, I just launched a new one yesterday.
I haven't even posted that it's out yet.
It is a Q300 one.
And it's going to blow your mind
on how well that actually works.
All right, maybe I'll make a review video
on the YouTube channel of the program.
I'm excited.
I really want to fix these.
Hold that.
Where can people find the program
if they want to look into it?
So, on my current socials,
but I also have a social for Instagram and Facebook
for Insight Mental Programming.
And then the website is PagePierce.
These are stuck to kind of, you know.
Jeez.
Just kidding.
We're not fixing it.
PagePierceInsight.com.
So, what I'd like to see,
see how there's like gap there?
Yeah.
Like, I want it mostly filled, essentially.
We'll pick that up just a little bit.
She prefers a filled gap.
Yes.
You don't have a lot of weight, so it's not a big deal.
But if you have like 30 ounces on this thing,
you don't want the gap where like everything is lying
on just that little quick disconnect.
But yeah.
So, it's been pretty cool since that launch.
Like, it grew so much faster than I thought it would.
It's been absolutely wild.
It's always great.
But the other thing I didn't realize
is that so many archers have done no mental work,
and it's working like so much faster
for them than I expected.
So, literally every day I'm getting messages back
of people being like,
oh my gosh, I just did fill in the blank
of like whatever their goals were
that they hadn't achieved before.
So.
Right.
It's pretty cool.
And it's an easy thing.
Like, it's not like I'm your coach
saying shoot 300 arrows a day.
I'm like, yeah, lay down for-
Oh yeah, that hits the, wow.
Just that made the wobble in the bow way better
because it's like when it hits the back, it just stops.
Whereas before, I wonder if that little gap was making it-
Yes.
Wobble, because it just didn't wobble at all that time,
which was nice.
This camera's still facing?
Yeah.
Okay.
It might impact a little bit different too.
I think I like it.
Shoot a few like that.
I feel like she-
I want you to have a decent comparison
between the next option.
All right.
I'm gonna write down what we did.
Feels good.
I think the hold is comparable,
but maybe a little better.
The biggest difference I'm seeing is the initial,
one of the things I've babbled with this bow for a while
is just hitting the back wall on the draw
and then having it go like this.
And this seems a lot better.
There's a couple other things that all of it is,
I think each thing we do, he's gonna go,
whoa, it gets significantly just a little bit better.
Yeah, look at how much faster it settles.
You can see it actually.
Yeah, it's really-
The cool thing is I can, like,
anybody can use this trick,
but if I stand back, once you anchor in,
I just have your stabilizer like lined up on something
and I can look at the tip of the stabilizer
to see what the movement is actually doing.
Yeah, for sure.
It's settling a lot faster,
like probably a half second to a second.
Which that's actually huge,
like in the realm of strength and shot timing,
we can make it significantly better though, still.
Yeah.
It feels great.
Why do you choose to shoot yours?
Cause you said you shoot the same bow, but the shorter one,
you know, how I had it before
with the stop on the bottom being a little bit-
So my bow's heavy.
Yeah, it is.
It's pretty heavy.
So, I mean, I have an issue with gravity
where like it obviously wants to just dip.
And so I'm doing every little thing I can to fight gravity.
And so a lot of bows and a lot of people will say,
let's do that, actually run it reverse,
run the top stop ahead.
For whatever reason, only on the gen twos,
it just feels to me like when I stop in the bottom
and then build pressure, it's like I hit.
And when I build the pressure, it goes,
and it just wants to lift up that last little bit.
And so if I was analyzing my aim on the Vegas 10,
when mine's even, it's like out the bottom,
out the bottom, out the bottom.
And then I run mine bottom ahead.
And I think it's cause I have to pull
that little bit harder.
It just goes whoop and lifts up.
And sometimes when I run top ahead,
all but one bow, it'll do the reverse
where like I can feel it wanting to pull it down.
So now we're going to go exactly what we did,
but the other way.
So that way your top's going to be heading ahead.
And then I want you,
and for this one, you can leave that on, I think.
You want it?
Okay, I'm going to have to take more.
Depends on the angle.
Nope, you can leave, we're good.
And then have you test that.
So one thing that's crazy is I just went and looked,
pulled those five arrows out of the top.
They were all 10s, but they were all sitting
right on the top line of the 10.
Did you notice that?
All but the middle one looked a little bit more
right than high, but they all looked exactly
just a touch higher.
Yeah.
So I was wondering if you'd see it
when you went down there.
They were about a half inch to,
about a half inch to three quarter inch higher.
That's, oh.
But the group was great.
They were all almost same hole,
except one was a touch right.
So some things that we play with,
like let's say your bow was perfectly tuned
and you were like, I don't want to change a thing.
Timing is one of the few things,
and it might not be true for every bow,
but on the Bowtex, I know this,
that I can play with the timing
and it won't really change the forget this.
So I love that because there's times where I'm like,
man, I want my drawing barely shorter or barely longer.
I can get away with that.
And we can do exactly the test.
Like I do the same thing with my bow
that we're doing with you right now.
And if all of a sudden it ain't better a different way,
I know I could make that change.
And it's still going to group.
Like I'm not going to lose the forgiveness that's built in.
All right.
Some bows, if you made changes like that,
you'd kind of be starting from scratch.
Right.
So, so far, one of the next ones we're going to make,
that's a starting from scratch,
but this one won't really change much.
So where are we here?
So right now I did another half in your bottom
and another half out of your top.
So again, draw length's basically a wash.
People, if they want to get really, really technical,
critical on me, are going to say, no, it's not.
The cables aren't exactly perfect.
And yes, they're right.
But assuming the cable twists are close enough,
draw length's pretty much a wash.
So now your top should be one full line ahead.
Waggled a bit again.
Yeah.
But we can probably fix the waggles and other stuff too.
So I want you to think about,
yeah, higher, which makes sense.
Did you notice a difference between
when we scored our Vegas round versus the last one
on like if the pin wanted to go down or up
or how it fought you at all?
Not necessarily like directionally,
but I do notice that at least on that first shot
versus the last five I just did,
that one, there was a lot more movement
in the sight versus the last one.
I see the same.
I never end up running these top of head.
Like I said, of all the ones I've shot,
there's only been one bow that for whatever reason
I ran that way.
Usually it's even to bottom of the head.
Yeah, even though those hit the same spot,
definitely it's moving more than how it was before.
I would say that how the bow was initially
was maybe in the middle,
how it just was was probably the most solid.
And this is probably the worst.
Let's go back.
So here's why when you asked was if I'm using time walk,
like right now I can confidently say
we're going exactly back.
There's no guesswork.
But if we didn't have a bow press here,
you know what I mean?
Then it's like, yeah, we couldn't do any of this.
And we still could with this using time walk.
We're going to reverse what we did.
So we put half in the bottom.
So we're going to take a half out of the bottom.
We took one out of the top.
So we're going to put it in the top.
And then you see what I wrote on the little paper over there.
Do you want to cross out the bottom two?
Cross out the bottom two.
They are crossed.
So the fun way of doing it like that,
because a lot of people are like,
man, I'm just too scared to work on my stuff.
Right.
And it's like, it's literally,
get this out of here before I try to pick that up.
As simple as that.
Plus a half, minus a half.
Cross out what we did.
So when I look back, it's like, okay, we started,
and that's what we've done.
So if you keep a little cheat sheet like that,
just a really easy way,
because you can always put stuff back.
So I always hate when people are like, I'm too scared.
Right.
I'm like, as long as you check and make sure
everything's seated once you take it out of the press.
Yeah.
What's to be scared?
It's like getting a haircut.
It'll grow back.
Yeah, it will.
And you know what?
If you have a draw board.
Yeah.
The best thing is people are like, I just don't know.
So throw it in the draw board.
Draw it back, look at it, check it.
If you know everything's fine,
then you can confidently draw it back.
Right.
And know you're good to go.
Yeah, fair enough.
Shoot like two more arrows,
just to make sure you're too quick,
compared to maybe putting it out.
A couple more fruiters in the pipe.
God, it's a nice tripod right there.
Shout out to Taser.
Now we're nicer in the eyes.
That was smooth.
All right, here we go.
We've got an audience.
In the middle.
Yeah, we've got a dog, a filmer, Tate.
We've got all kinds of people in here.
I love it.
Yes, no almost, hardly.
I can see it's a little better.
Felt good?
Yeah.
I'm advanced a little, but felt really good.
And the biggest difference is that
waggle of the bow is just way less.
Yep.
Even when I hit the back wall hard,
it still didn't.
Yeah, it didn't feel nuts.
If you hit it that hard before,
it would have waggled for high sevens.
Yeah, definitely.
Well, look at that.
That feels great.
Quick, easy progress.
This is a hot take.
I think that they should switch all the bolts on bows
to torques instead of allens.
I wouldn't mind that.
Because they strip way harder to strip them.
I like learning this fact.
Your bars are run really low too.
Have you tested that?
Like high, low, medium, all the things?
I have not.
You haven't?
I have done zero testing other than just practice.
Okay, so we just took the pressure off this.
So here's what we're going to do.
So Bowtech made the new fixed roller.
These are not for the honey bows.
They're only for the target bows.
And it's interesting you're shooting a 39
because I'm really curious to see what you think.
And so what we found is,
it matters more the longer abseiled axis,
which is why we did it for the target bows.
But when you said you hit the back wall
and you see that movement,
through testing, actually for the next target bow,
I pretty much figured out that,
hey, this eliminates a lot of that.
And so rather than, we had these ready,
and it was like, okay, rather than not put it out,
let's just put it out.
We'll take all the new bows and put that on it.
And if anybody has an old bow
that they want to upgrade that to, they can.
So there's a misconception
that people thought in that launch,
like, oh, there's something wrong with this.
There's not.
From a tuning capability, there's actually,
I don't know if I get the right one,
way more you can do with the flex card
because we can totally change that.
And this one, it's fixed, so you're not changing that.
So from a tuning standpoint,
there's actually less you can do,
but we only launched it for the A.
So if somebody puts it on,
and they're like, hmm, my aim isn't as good,
or it's the same, you can still run the other one.
Just switch it back, yeah.
So just because we're doing this
doesn't mean we aren't gonna put this back on.
Yeah, it doesn't.
Because the bow's already shooting really good with it.
Yeah, so it doesn't mean there's a problem with this one.
It's just like an option, one way or the other.
And if it was a problem, we would have said,
hey, it's a problem.
Switch it out, yeah.
Shoot the new one, but you don't have to.
It's only for aiming, so yeah.
Let's see.
Yeah, so I'm excited to,
I've actually never installed one of these.
This is my first time.
How exciting.
I know.
You know?
I think you're gonna like it, but.
I mean, hey, if it reduces the wobble,
which it already did a lot with just the timing change,
but if this does even more,
then it basically won't be any.
And this may change up and down as well.
Like, it's primarily left and right,
but you might actually see some other benefits as well.
Now, I'm not gonna lie, this one confuses me,
so we're gonna cheat and look at my bow.
One thing I do like, just looking at it, I.
That's why I don't screw it up.
I like how it's out a little further, too,
than the flexible one.
The deeper one is the bottom,
and then it crosses and falls to the top.
I'd say don't judge me, but you can judge away.
I'm totally fine with it.
So here's one of the ways, like, I cheat and do this.
I'm just gonna give people severe anxiety.
You just don't wanna lose the cable.
But I can do this,
and then I don't have to take the rollers off.
Yeah.
And then just attach that back to the cam.
It's funny, because over time,
it's like you learn better ways to do things,
but I seem to always still go back
to the same way that I learned when I was young.
You're still young.
We're just getting started.
We're all just young grasshoppers.
Well, you think that.
Oh, yeah.
We're just spry, you know?
We're just getting started.
In the tournament world, I'm not a spring chicken anymore.
Yeah.
Now we just stick it all back together.
You know another thing that's really funny?
I never put a bow in the press this way.
Oh, really?
I always do.
Yeah, because we need to access it.
I had to.
But it's like, it's so funny.
I'm very much like a creature of habit.
A routine gal.
I am.
Okay, let's check it and make sure.
So bottom is deep and comes up,
crosses in the front and goes down.
Perfect.
It's funny, but just that little bit of an angle change
on how they do that,
my brain's like, I don't know.
So this will drastically change the tune.
No question.
So it's not gonna impact anything crazy different
where we're gonna go, oh man, you gotta go to 10 yards.
It's nothing like that,
but knock an arrow on there
and look at how much clearance you're gonna have
from your veins versus what you had before.
It would have been a lot more similar
if you had the flex guard tightened all the way down.
Yeah, that's, see, I like that too.
I like that it spaces it out a little bit more.
Well, I'm glad that gives you-
Can you point it this way?
So he was getting contact here.
Oh, I probably won't see it like that.
Yeah.
So now you're absolutely clear, which is good.
It's probably out like almost a quarter inch,
I bet, over what it was.
I'd call that a quarter inch for sure.
Oh, buddy, that is nice.
Yeah, I can see it already.
That felt great.
Good.
I mean, the hold felt good.
I am getting a tiny bit fatigued
just because, like I said,
I don't shoot this heavy ass rig very much.
Yeah, I'm gonna be shooting it a lot,
but yeah, watch this.
I'll even draw it harder.
It's not gonna move much.
Look at that.
Bare my own feet.
I can do so much better.
And the last thing we're gonna do,
actually, there's two things left.
They will help significantly as well.
So it's obviously impacting high and left.
And it seems like the arrow's flying
just a little different, like you said.
Yes, it will.
So once we, like I said, right now,
we're not really worried about the grouping or the impact.
I just care how does it aim and how does it feel?
That's always the first step
because everything aiming F's up to me.
So once we get the aim good,
then we'll go back and retune.
Greg did tell us where we were running your bear shaft,
so that gives us a really good way to get back to that.
Yeah, I think that feels great.
Okay, so you like that?
I do, yeah.
I think that if we get this set up
and tuned back to where it's solid,
I think this would be the best setup
that I've tried of the variations.
So now let's do,
last two things are going to be the new stops.
And these people are mixed.
Like this one, usually people put it on and go, whoa, yes.
This one is kind of hit or miss.
I think it depends on how hard they pull.
So don't feel pressured like you need to like it.
Yeah, I definitely won't.
But so far, like I said,
the only change that was like worse
was when the stops were in and on the top.
Yeah.
Here's a way to mark, draw it.
Okay.
Draw that back.
All right.
And don't shoot it.
All right, draw back and don't shoot.
I'm a good instruction follower, you know.
That's good, I like my fingers.
So don't try this at home, kids.
I just marked center of both your burner holes.
Yeah.
Then we're not going to shoot this until we are done.
So it's going to be our draw check arrow.
So now we're going to change it
because he just chimed in and said,
this is going to change the drawing.
So if he's right,
we want to make sure we can get it exactly back.
You are in 29 and a half.
Look at you go.
25 long arms, short torso, long legs, arms.
I would kill for 29 and a half of drawing.
Yeah.
Goodness, that would be amazing.
I would kill for the 25 I run and I don't even have that.
Yeah.
Yeah, there, you're like, no, I wish I had,
I'd like 27 and a half.
So these look like the stream stops
that are on the hunting bow.
Is it the same ones?
Yeah, very similar.
So the key with this was way back in the day,
they had some rubber stops,
but they weren't target quality.
How's that?
The number of arrows that people put through target post
typically just so much more than the hunting bow.
Yeah.
I tried testing the hunting ones on the target stuff
and cut them in half in like a couple of days.
Yeah.
So this is a very like specific rubber
that is way more dense and durable and will hold up.
So I did test that and really liked it,
but it took a little bit to, you know,
find something that held up.
And then once they knew, hey, this is better,
obviously that moved to the hunting bows as well, but yeah.
So here's where this is going to change.
So, you know, when you hit the back wall
and you hit the back wall and it waggles,
so this makes it soft.
So when you hit the back wall,
that punk that induces that is going to soften up.
The other piece that will probably change.
And again, you're shooting command style.
So this is where, again, it's like,
eh, you might like it, you might not.
But when you shoot back tension
and you start to build pressure,
when you've got a really solid cam and a really solid stop,
there's nothing, there's not a lot of give.
So when you pull and the cables and the stops don't give,
this moves.
Okay.
And so these have been really, really good
for people who shoot a strong, solid back tension style shot.
So when you build pressure,
it's like you build pressure and the bow gets more stable
versus you build pressure and the bow gets erratic.
So that's kind of where these came from.
Again, with these, the way you were running them
for a back tension person would be the most erratic.
We can flip them and run this.
And then this is the next softest option.
So there's three options from an aiming perspective
and the field perspective for stops.
Okay.
So that might change your draw length.
Let's just check your draw length arrow here.
Okay.
First thing.
Draw length check.
Let's see.
Everyone always says, what's your draw length?
I'm like, I don't know.
I don't ever measure it.
Like if I have, like, I'm just setting this bow up.
I'll just draw this one back, mark an arrow,
draw this one back and then just make a match.
So I don't ever like measure the draw length.
I'm like, oh, whatever the stops say.
Smidgen.
Like the smallest smidgen shorter, maybe,
but like not a lot at all.
So give me this arrow and then shoot a few.
Is that the draw length arrow?
Yeah, so that should be good.
All right, tools.
We got two.
How nice it is when you've got more than 40 arrows.
We got tools.
Such an upgrade from last year.
It's so great.
I'm making progress.
Here we go.
You've made a ton of progress.
Like it's actually crazy.
Definitely starting to like shake a bit
just from tired, yeah.
Yeah, so it's like, it's kind of tough to tell.
The waggle felt great.
Pin hold, I'm just like a little bit tired.
We can always give you a snack break.
Yeah, let me try this again.
And then have him do it.
So another reason you might notice a little quivering
is we changed the draw length,
but we didn't change the mod.
So essentially that will increase
the holding weight of smidgen.
The holding weight increase typically,
if you're not used to it, you see quick quivers.
It's probably a combination of both.
I think right now I like it.
Like this better.
I do want to just like take five, 10 minutes
and then try it again.
But definitely I feel the back and forth
at draw improved a lot.
And then the hold, really tough to tell
just cause I'm starting to like just get wobbly
in my front shoulder.
Take five, grab a snack, maybe open some popcorn.
All right, I think I will.
I love popcorn.
It's like a tried and true snack for me.
So yeah, all right.
Popcorn break, we'll try it again.
We are back from our lunch break
and now we're going to do some testing,
which I do not do any of unless I'm here or with Greg.
So right now his drawing is a little short
from where it was.
I want him to just test that.
Cause normally I would just have people test
wherever their starting point was
and then a little short and a little long.
So just by design, the stops are a little bit shorter.
So he's already kind of testing that.
And then I think we're going to throw a full twist
at both needles to have him check the other drawing.
I'm going to start your shoot like three
and then I'll change it
and then have you shoot maybe the last two.
Whenever it's stuff like this where it's close comparisons
I always like to try to do it quick.
So it's like you are fresh and can feel it.
I definitely feel like that is holding really solid.
Like even though I'm not super fresh right now
it still is feeling like it's holding pretty solid.
I almost feel like, and it could just be,
it could be real or it could be not.
But I feel like the waggle in the bow
I think is slightly worse with these stops maybe.
It could be.
Yeah.
So the other thing is I'm just going to write
what we're going to do when we change the drawing
that might go away.
Cause sometimes it can be a draw.
So we're going to say,
but I definitely feel like it is sitting nice.
All right.
So draw length, like, and here's the funny thing.
I'll post like, yeah, I changed my draw length.
And someone's like, oh my God
you never leave anything the same.
And it's like, when I say I changed my draw length
I mean a half twist in each cable.
Like most people I could take their bow
and do it and they wouldn't even feel it.
I'm not out here moving the thing a half inch.
Right.
And so it's hard cause people don't understand that
but I'm curious for you to see
like these micro adjustments with the draw length
absolutely changed the age for sure.
And so I'm curious if you can tell a difference or not.
Yeah. So you're talking like real, real
micro, micro, micro changes.
Yes. And like we could go smaller
and keep the timing the same.
We could do a half twist.
The reason I'm doing a hole is
because looking at your drawing there
that's going to put you really close back
to where you were before.
So, and honestly, a lot of, there's very few people
probably in the world that can really
truly feel a difference on a half twist.
Yeah.
So at least if we do a hole, there's a better chance
that you'll be able to see or feel a difference.
And maybe not these stops with them being rubber
and soft are, they kind of magnify stuff less.
Okay.
So you may not see a difference
but we can always just throw your other ones back on.
And then if we put the other ones back on
we can test them the pointed way as well.
So it's not just this or flat.
Like we do have an in between option.
That looked better.
That felt better.
For my.
It felt better.
Okay.
I can see a difference in your stabilizer.
I don't know if you could through your sight, but.
I could feel it.
That one hit just bumped in smoother
and then just stayed.
Okay.
Felt good.
Shoulder still a little wobbly
but the bow itself, the waggle, much better.
The hold I think looks really, really good.
So I think if I was like totally fresh, it'd be solid.
I wish you lived closer.
Yeah.
So I would be like, come practice.
Let's shoot.
Yeah.
See that, that just stalls out quick.
Yeah.
That one is way better.
Yeah.
I think that feels nice.
I like that.
I think that right there is a real good setting for the bow.
Okay.
Obviously I can see that the arrows seem to be flying
like a little goofy, but I know.
We'll fix that after.
We're going to be two minutes.
So.
There's one more thing.
Okay.
One more thing.
Holding weight.
Okay.
So this is the,
if you asked me, what is your favorite thing
about the Bowtex?
It's this.
Okay.
Like it is the coolest thing.
You're going to laugh at how I do this,
but I didn't care.
It's normally about myself.
So I don't have much for hands.
So I always just hook these all the way to see whether.
So I just hook the cam there.
Yeah.
Pro move.
So the way that we look at this
and see where you're at now
is off the mark on the back.
So just about right between three and a half.
They're not actually matched.
So we're going to just move.
It doesn't matter.
It can be offset.
But if I leave one, move one,
your Titan's going to be off again.
Okay.
So what I'm going to do is just move it a half,
move it a half.
So your Titan stays the same and it's totally fine.
So we're going to just do a half line probably.
And I'm going to actually just cheat
and have you hold the butt of it,
just the chair because you're stable.
Is you're okay with more than one?
Yep.
It doesn't actually work.
Are you calling my wad short right now?
A little short.
Yeah.
I know I've been hoping for a long time
it would sprout the extra inch on the bar.
It hasn't happened yet.
So maybe one day.
So this one is the three and a half.
Yep.
So how much are we going to increase the holding weight?
You know what's funny?
I don't know.
I don't ever measure anything.
I just hear everything by feel.
Okay.
So enough.
I don't actually know.
The key thing with holding weight is like that wobble.
It basically increases the strength tension.
Strength tension is a really good thing.
And so it went a little more than I wanted,
but it's not a bad thing.
So all you're doing is just rotating.
Rotating the mod.
Okay.
So here's how it works.
A lot of the companies,
they're like, oh, you can adjust your holding weight.
But to do it, they have like a movable stop.
Nice catch.
I saw that thing just creep.
Looked up and saw you looking at it like, oh no.
So when you do a movable stop
and that's how you change the holding weight,
all you're doing is changing someone's drawing.
So essentially when you're drawing for shorter,
you have different holding weight
by doing a different drawing.
That was the same change
like a lot of the other companies have.
Or you buy an extra module.
It's like not cheap and not easy to get.
And so with this, it's so cool
because we can do it that easy.
I'm just going to do the other one, make a patch
and change the holding weight
without changing your drawing.
So it is a true holding weight change
and you didn't have to go buy a custom mod
and order it and wait weeks
or change your drawings.
So anyway, this is really cool.
This is probably my absolute favorite feature on the bow
and the one that I use the most.
I think once you learn how much holding weight can help you
like the more you start doing this stuff,
I think they'll appreciate it too.
Because holding weight is,
you go too much too fast, it can be your worst enemy.
But if you work up at a slow amount, it's like good for you.
You've got to be kind of careful too.
There's three screws.
So if you over tighten one, it kind of pulls it.
So that's why.
So you just want to tighten them evenly.
I'm like, yeah, I tighten in a certain order
and I slow and I check every time I tighten.
Now they're all snubbed so now I can just go for it.
But I always check at the end just to make sure it's good.
So when you get nervous,
the string tension basically reduces the movement
that goes into the bow.
And so a really cool test,
like if you were at full draw
and you have very little holding weight
and I whacked your bow,
it'll just do boom like this.
When you increase the holding weight,
therefore increase the string tension,
I'd whack your bow and it just goes swoop.
It like stables back up.
If you're shaking here, you'll see people's hands shaking
and with light holding weight,
you watch it like translate through the bow.
When there's high holding weight,
they shake and it's just dead.
It doesn't go forward.
So it's kind of a little cheat code
that I wish more people use,
but I get why they don't
because a lot of the bows don't make it easy
to play with the holding weight.
And again, normally it's faster and easier than that, right?
We're not talking and chatting and all the things,
like it's such an easy thing to play with.
And because it's marked, we can put it right back.
We can always go back.
So it will feel.
So essentially what we're doing,
buff and holding weight are set together.
So it's like the let off happens
and then the stop comes in.
So essentially all we did
is we made the let off happen later.
So we long modded it essentially.
So what's gonna happen is the full let off hasn't kicked in
and then the stop hits.
So it is gonna probably feel a little jumpier on the back
because it increases the holding weight
and shortens the valley.
Sorry, I didn't get that chair.
Oh, you did, sorry.
I think that felt a lot better.
It was way better.
It's crazy, I'm a stander by,
couldn't even call me a novice in this field.
But just enough to understand the watch that,
that compared to what I see at home
now that all of these changes have happened,
it's like, whoa.
It's just nuts to watch what the bow used to do,
what that bow does now,
which is literally next to nothing.
And I told him, I'm like,
I'm cheating and watching a stabilizer.
Like just as he hit the wall, I was like, yeah, it's good.
I mean, I used to be able to watch it back home,
just do this, like full on movement.
So you didn't take a, a blind person could see him have it.
And now I'm like, I need to put something behind it
to like see what's even moving.
Yeah, so it's lined up to see it.
No, that was way better.
But you'll fatigue faster until you get used to it.
Which I don't, just like anything else, you might,
this, this will feel better.
So like, you know how you said the bow feels heavy?
Yeah.
So holding weight and mass weight
are like a direct correlation.
So if your mass weight goes up,
your holding weight should go up
because it's almost like the strength of the rubber band
helping counterbalance that.
So with what we just did,
the mass weight of his bow will actually feel lighter,
but it's just a little bit harder on this hand back here.
So one thing will feel better.
One gets a little bit tougher.
Yeah, and the pinhold is really good.
Yeah.
Yeah, it feels better, definitely.
And I don't anticipate it'll take me very long
to get my body used to the weight of this bow.
Now that I'll actually get to shoot it daily.
I bet within a week it's like,
I don't even get the shakes hardly, so.
It is kind of interesting how quick
you adjust an archery like that.
Like we'll make changes and it's, yeah,
within a few days you're like,
oh, this doesn't even seem bad.
Where a few days before you're like,
I'm never gonna get this.
And all these arrows are hitting the same spot.
Like they're all high left, right on that red line.
So it's grooving good, it's holding really good.
So do you have your bear shaft?
Yeah, it's in that tube.
Yeah.
Let's grab it.
And now I'm just curious to see.
Are we, so are we?
That's pretty much a wrap up on anything, Amy.
I mean, there's more we could do.
Like we can go into moving your stabilizers
and doing whatever, but looking at your front bar,
I don't know that you need it.
No, I feel.
I think it's pretty good.
I feel good.
If I was seeing something I didn't like,
I would say let's do it.
I really don't think we need to do that.
Okay, so are we pretty much finished up
with the changes we're gonna make
to the bow itself at this point?
I think so.
All right, well, hey, that is the,
I guess, what would you call this?
The tuning video?
No, not the tuning.
This is Amy.
This is sort of a setup video.
Yeah, everything Amy.
Few changes that we made to the bow
that made it a lot better,
especially drawing back and then hold as well.
So we're gonna do another video right now
where we're actually like getting the tune
back to where it was, right?
All right, so check that one out.
Subscribe to Paige Pierce channel
and Instagram, Facebook, all that good stuff
and check out the website.
What was it again?
PaigePierceInsight.com.
All right, check it out.
And yeah, we'll see you in the next one.
We'll get this baby fricking styled and dialed
and then we're competing again.
So we'll see you then.
Yeah, if you beat me after this,
I'm going to bat.
I think I'm too tired to be close, but.
