So we're here on this beautiful sunny day at Chateau Angelus and Saint-Emilion Appellation
on the right bank of the Gironde. A family that has been at Chateau Angelus since 1782.
I'm the third woman within the eighth generation to manage this estate. One other thing that's very
famous about Angelus is the bells. Everyone's recognized it from the label. They were initially
used for three rings during the day for Catholic services. There's a particular atmosphere that
you can feel when you are in the estate. It's a spiritual or religious or monocle atmosphere and
it's something that we want to continue and preserve. It's very important for us due to the
history of the Chateau. So 27 hectares are used to cultivate the Gironde vin and that produces
on average about 100,000 bottles or 8,000 cases a year and that's made up from great varieties of
50% Merlot, 47% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. What's so special about Chateau Angelus
is that it's a fantastic place with a unique terroir with its particular signature with
Cabernet Franc and it's a wine that is made to age for long.
