Up, Down & Dirty! Tackling Honduras' Hills on Two Wheels - EP.344

Today we are not going too far we're going to a town where we'll be able to see some ancient ruins it's only 70 kilometers but according to my gps again it's going to take us two hours probably because of traffic uh yeah so we're just going to get a hotel there because it's late three already and tomorrow morning we'll explore so basically we're going into direction of Guatemalan border we're very close to Guatemala again looks like concrete roads are the way to go in Honduras this looks like a fairly new road ah chilly we got some dirt here let's see for how long we're doing a shortcut to that copper ruins but it looks like the mainish road we gotta go this way this way looks a bit dodgy yeah maybe for a light enduro bike would be all right on this mud but not for us okay let's kick in chicken it's a very scenic route I must say I was not expecting that actually Chris recommended to me Chris a BMW rider who I'm in touch with this is awesome look this is the road it's just so curvy I love it and it goes through the hills steep hills like this one going down like it's not raining oh I'm enjoying this little ride shortcut through dirt and the hills this is so cool I was not expecting that today this is so cool an authentic experience we just go up and down up and down there's a car ahead of me that I cannot overtake and he's so slow so every now and then I have to stop all right hola quite easy stopping every 200 meters you gotta go man you gotta let me go gracias here we go chickens yeah I would not like to do this road when it's wet so clayish it's fine now because it's hard clay but like this would be very slippery whoa whoa whoa like let's not lose our yeah wow this road is a bit rough oh nice yeah wow people really struggle here on wet and now we're turning right here oh oh oh my god look at the steepness of this hill okay here we go chilly in 150 meters turn right turn right turn right way all right oh my god all right now this is the right I think what you meant to say google something smooth for a moment and the hill again oh god all right here we go again that was easy getting more wet here I don't like that fact someone is working when I start this and a hill again wait wait wait which way we're going up I just oh my god this is heavy this is really high and up here again oh my god how people live on this hill imagine walking and more go go go go go go go go chilly go no stopping now oh god I need to have a rest it's just constant uphill jesus and we're in the clouds wow god that's tiring that this is not fun I just had to stop these hills were hard work I tell you we're like in a jungle literally we're in a jungle we better hide it because it's nearly five o'clock so yeah I don't know how much we have to the pavement but yeah few k's still okay this is the last bit it's an easy part oh chilly we're out of there I think showing we should reach pavement oh lucky because it's nearly six o'clock I've never ridden so late especially off-road and we still have probably 30 minutes of riding to that town take the next map into California 11 yay back on pavement concrete road to be specific whoops sorry guys continue on CA 11 for 28 kilometers oh it's so nice to be on paved road oh the humanity and humidity the road is locked town is not accessible I don't know for how long I asked the police they don't know so it's already late so it looks like uh we are gonna have to turn around and go back to the nearest town which is like maybe seven k's away and there is a hotel so I guess this is our destiny for today damn it this hotel on the hill literally doesn't have any parking and I'm not gonna leave chilly on the main street what to do what to do okay there's one more hotel here on the corner let's see still can't see parking for chilly but let's check it out hey this parking is this hotel's got one room for me and this lady is arranging my parking so this gentleman is reversing his car so he can make more space ah two cars gonna get out and then me and she's gonna get in I see oh my god so much arrangement right okay all right all right let's do it chilly we're in okay across okay yeah at least the end of the day wasn't too complicated we're in that's it and the second car fit in good night chilly and see you tomorrow this is my triple room I was so lucky as I found out all the hotels here are booked out because the other town is blocked because of that strike so everyone everyone comes here so it was a difficult situation at the end of the day okay but we made it and I can rest now lucky when I don't know lucky this car didn't go past me when I was like that high heel I don't even know what I'm saying whatever I think we are on the I think we I don't even know what to say
