Tucker Carlson says the US can’t defend Taiwan and should “share power” with China. But is that realism—or dangerous appeasement? We break down Carlson’s shift, what it means for US policy, and why giving ground to the CCP could have massive global consequences. From trade to military strategy, this is a debate that could shape the future.

Ducker Carlson has been saying some interesting things about China lately.
Let's dive into it.
Welcome to China Uncensored, I'm Chris Chappell.
Right now, the US and China seem like they're headed to World War 3.
Bigly things are happening, and YouTube doesn't want me talking about it.
They're constantly demonetizing my episodes,

And now, on with the show.
And once again, the internet and social media are abuzz.
And the Viral Obsession of the Week is...
right-wing commentator Tucker Carlson,
who's had some interesting things to say recently about China.
The US is not going to defend and cannot defend Taiwan.
Be real.
A big power wants to control, hopefully in a non-brutal,
enlightened way, but they want some influence over their neighbors.
We can no longer be the sole author of terms, of commerce, of anything.
We have to share power.
With China.
Of course, because of their scale.
And so there's got to be a non-destructive way to do this.
He's also interviewed this guy.
His name is Jiang Shuiqin.
He also has some interesting things to say about China.
It is the nature of the Chinese government not to interfere in foreign affairs.
China doesn't really have a geopolitical framework, a grand strategy.
It really believes in global trade.
Ooh, poor timing, since just a few days after Jiang said that,
the Chinese Coast Guard swarmed Filipino boats in the waters just off the Philippines.
According to Jiang, the US should give way to Russia and China
for a new multipolar world order.
It's time for a new world order where we are partners in this relationship.
Before America was a hegemon, before the US dollar was a world reserve currency.
But now what we want to do is open a dialogue where everyone is respected,
where America is no longer the bully, but a winning partner in creating a new
economic order that benefits everyone and not just a few.
Thankfully, Carlson saw right through this, called it out for the malarkey it is, and...
I think that's the wisest possible advice and probably the only path that preserves civilization.
But the one country standing in the way of that is Israel.
Ah, yes, Israel.
That's a whole different topic that I won't be getting into in this episode.
And no, it's not because I'm getting those fat $7,000 paychecks from Assad.
If I was, I wouldn't be pushing website subscriptions so hard.

But what's going on?
This is the same guy who has in the past
frequently warned about the threat from the Chinese Communist Party.
Back in 2018, he warned that China is the US's greatest rival,
capturing Western elites and having them bow to the elderly fascists who run that country.
He also warned about how China was exploiting the WTO.
One of the biggest economic events in this country,
really a seismic event since World War II,
was something that most Americans barely noticed when it happened,
China's admission into the World Trade Organization.
When the COVID pandemic first happened,
and the WHO shilled for the Chinese government, Carlson called the organization out.
You might think that a World Health Organization,
a group that got $58 million of your tax dollars last year,
might care that a government arrests doctors and lies about deadly new diseases.
But no, like so many other organizations,
they are lapdogs for the powerful,
and that means their real job is sucking up to the Chinese government.
A few months later, he said this.
China's tentacles extend almost everywhere in our society.
Carlson has also had a lot of guests on who spoke critically of China.
This includes Brett Weinstein, who warned of military-aged Chinese men
infiltrating the US through the southern border.
And Xi Van Fleet, a Cultural Revolution survivor
who warned against following China's footsteps.
And Steve Robinson, the editor-in-chief of The Main Wire,
who warned about China's role in the US drug market.
I've interviewed him, too.
Why, if it weren't for some of his recent comments,
you'd think Carlson was an avid China Uncensored watcher.
So why does Carlson now say the US is not going to defend and cannot defend Taiwan?
Well, there's another piece to this interview clip that nobody is focusing on.
And it tells you a lot about where Carlson is coming from.
I think we've reached the limits of our power.
And power has limits.
Like, that's another thing just to keep in mind.
Power is not infinite.
You can squander it.
And we're in the process of doing that.
Tucker Carlson is essentially demoralized.
He looks around and sees a Western civilization in decline,
fueled, at least in part, in his view, by self-hatred.
There's not a single Western city that's thriving.
And they're all degrading in exactly the same way.
Is a lot of it just a moral decay?
Or is it actually true from everything?
It's a lot of things, but it's self-hatred.
He sees cities that are degrading,
slowing population growth,
and diversity that isn't really working.
But then, wow, look at China's glittery skylines
and a worryingly large military.
And so he sees a US that is no longer the sole superpower and global hegemon.
Now, it is a multipolar world.
You've heard that phrase, no doubt.
And that means there are a couple, at least a couple, centers of gravity.
Really, there are two.
There's the US and the constellation of states with which it's allied.
And then there is, on the eastern hemisphere of the globe, China.
The US sucks now, and China is on the rise.
It's self-hatred.
Interesting.
But here's the thing.
What Carlson is arguing for is basically the same failed foreign policy
that US elites have been pushing since the 90s.
That we have to engage with China.
Tucker probably doesn't see it that way, but that's the end result.
It's appeasement disguised as being practical.
Carlson's all for the US countering China in the western hemisphere,
but believes the US is incapable of doing that beyond our own backyard.
Which means you're on your own, Taiwan.
We just gotta work with China.
All we gotta do is let Germany take the Sudetenland.
But we've tried that.
When we granted the People's Republic of China a seat in the UN Security Council.
Accepted China into the WTO.
Granted China Most Favored Nation status.
And look where that got us.
Chinese IP theft costs the US approximately $5 trillion each year,
or over 30% of the US GDP when you factor the full value of the stolen innovation.
China is killing about 70,000 Americans a year with state-subsidized fentanyl.
That's more than the entire Vietnam War.
A year.
We've got Chinese spy balloons floating overhead,
and China now has the world's biggest navy and dominates global shipbuilding.
That's all thanks to the money we pumped into China.
The Chinese Communist Party considers itself at war with the United States.
We can't share power with them.
And here's the important thing to remember.
Communist China's ambitions don't end at Taiwan.
That's just step one.
If you thought the crisis over the Strait of Hormuz is bad,
wait until China controls ship traffic through half of the Pacific Ocean.
Gas prices will be higher than Afro-Man on April 20th.
And it won't stop there.
China has been very active building ports in the Pacific Island nations,
in the same places Imperial Japan did before World War 2.
Why?
They've told us.
Back in 2008, Admiral Timothy Keaton told the Senate Armed Services Committee
that a senior Chinese officer suggested to him,
why don't we reach an agreement, you and I?
You take Hawaii East, we'll take Hawaii West.
That's basically what Carlson is arguing, too.
A multipolar world where the US, Russia, and China each take their peace.
After all, the United Citizen Federation can no longer be the sole author of the terms
we have to share power with the bugs.
And no, I'm not comparing Chinese people to bugs.
I'm comparing communists to bugs.
Communists want to kill you and take your stuff.
Our comfortable American lives rely on technology fueled by rare earths and semiconductors.
China already has a monopoly on rare earths.
And last year, they put the squeeze on us.
All the best semiconductors are made in Taiwan.
If China gets their hands on that, they control the lifeblood of modern technology.
Why wouldn't the communists, at long last, turn America into a third world country?
The give up and let live mindset Carlson is pushing
is exactly what the Chinese Communist Party wants us to feel.
They want us to feel so discouraged that we feel we have to choose between
fixing things at home and stopping China abroad.
When we can and should do both.
In fact, we must.
It's a matter of survival.
It's not too late to stop the CCP.
We can, with actual prudence, manage our resources in a way that address issues at home
while also preventing China from taking over the world, one Belt and Road initiative at a time.
This is a message that we need people like you to share.
