Is it the same one as yours?
Alright, let's go see where the rest of the fam is.
Can I go around this place?
We're going to go around, but we have to be quiet.
I want to go around this.
Yeah, we will, but remember we have to be quiet and respectful.
If you can't run, you can't yell. Remember that?
That's like a decoration or something. A design.
It looks kind of like a steering wheel on a pirate ship, doesn't it?
Yeah. Actually, I think that is.
You think so?
Okay.
These will get slippery. This rock is better. It won't be so slippery when it's wet.
I got it. I got it.
Yeah?
Yep.
I got another one.
Look.
I will get dehydrated.
You want to get dehydrated?
Maybe they're building it up.
Yeah.
Because why is there a hole in her eye then? In the window?
I don't know. Maybe just for the workers.
I got to drop.
You got to back up because I can't see you as well.
Levi's hanging out in the rain.
My hairstyle.
Oh, to style your hair. Nice. Good idea.
I have to keep my head down because then I get wet on it.
Ups and downs, baby.
Sometimes we were tight.
And sometimes oceans apart.
Gotta learn just how to move on without you.
Move on without you.
We're trying to recreate the statue.
Levi's going to do all of them at once.
Okay, it is our last day in Vietnam.
And there are a few things we haven't tried yet.
So we have gotten tons of comments from you guys saying that we have to try durian.
And we have to try sugarcane juice.
And we have not tried either yet.
There's also one other thing that I have wanted to try since we're here.
I have no idea how to pronounce it.
But it's basically a banana covered in sticky rice and grilled.
So we are going to do our best to go and find those three things today.
Our last day in Vietnam.
And show you guys what we think of them.
Yeah, we're thinking of me and Emily joining together.
How old are you?
Yeah, sit down here.
Yeah, sit down.
You like watching on that side?
Okay, Levi, you got yours?
Yeah.
Okay, go for it, guys.
That's good.
That's really good.
Is it?
And it's a lot, isn't it?
What?
I saw it had like limes, key limes or something.
Yeah, little tiny limes.
It is.
So we spent too long not getting these while we were here.
If you've watched me for a while, you know I'm super against refined sugar.
But this is not refined at all.
We just got squeezed out of a sugar cane.
Probably still not good for my...
It's 100% sugar, folks. You heard it here.
It's probably still not good for my insulin, but...
It is really sweet.
But it's actually really good, too.
You can taste that bit of citrus in there.
Yeah, it's good.
What does it taste like?
Taste the glory.
You're weird.
It's pretty good.
Good.
It's like sweet.
It's 100% sugar here.
It's gonna be sweet.
So a big difference I've noticed here from, say, North America is
when we come to a restaurant or a small cafe in North America
with our big crew, we're kind of like an inconvenience.
Like we're taking up their whole shop.
Whereas here, the more people that are sitting in a restaurant, a cafe
or even in a little outdoor spot like this
makes their restaurant, their cafe, their little food cart
look desirable to people.
And our crew is huge.
And so it looks like a big crowd.
Like everybody wants to go eat or drink at that spot.
And so every time that we stop somewhere to grab something,
we're like, oh, we'll just take it to go so that we're not a bother.
And they all bring out extra chairs for us.
They always want us to sit and stay to make their place look good.
Which is just, it's funny, the difference that you see in different cultures
and how people perceive different things.
It's kind of fun to be so welcomed with our big crowd here.
I'll apparently leave my legs.
Come on.
Can I say thank you?
Thank you.
All right, one down.
Now we're on to find some durian.
I woke up yesterday morning with quite a sore throat.
And now I'm stuffed up.
I have a bit of a headache.
At home, I would normally be drinking tons of ginger tea.
Just lots of tea in general.
Maybe taking some black seed oil.
But here in Vietnam, while we're traveling,
I didn't bring any black seed oil with me.
But ginger tea is super easy to find.
Almost every restaurant and cafe carries ginger tea.
But today we are eating lunch in a little vegan restaurant.
Super cute, super health-minded.
And they actually have turmeric shots.
So I'm going to take one of these.
And that's just one more way that I deal with sickness while we're on the road.
It tastes good.
Some days bad.
280,000?
Sure, can he cut it?
Can you cut it?
All right.
Okay.
Yeah.
It's very creamy.
Yeah.
Okay.
Perfect, perfect.
Want to hold it?
You guys want to try it now?
I'll pick.
Just tell me when to hold it.
Okay.
Strong smell.
Do you guys like the smell?
Put on a glove so you can try it.
And then you don't have to wash after.
I think it's because your hands will be sticky.
Pick one up.
Take a bite.
There might be a pit in the middle.
I'm not even sure.
I'm guessing there is.
Take the whole thing?
Yeah, take one.
And then...
Sticky?
Squishy?
Squishy.
Okay, ready?
Okay.
Try it.
Don't drop it.
Is it good?
Yeah, you like it?
It's really creamy.
Is it?
You can try it.
You can have more if you want after.
Is it good?
You're not sure?
Okay, Bethany's turn.
It's good.
Is it what you expected, Beth?
Yeah.
You don't like it?
Alex's face.
You don't like it?
Anybody like it?
I love it.
You love it?
You want some more?
Oh, you still have a big piece.
I had dream smoothie.
Oh, it's hot.
It's okay.
I liked it in the smoothie.
Because the taste is okay, but the texture is interesting.
We tried it.
The smell's not as strong as I thought.
But it is.
It's different.
It gets right in your nose, though, even as you take a bite.
So it kind of affects the taste.
He's smelling it.
Okay, so the durian was an experience.
Not our favorite, but actually when I did have it in smoothies, I did like it.
So I think it's just like a combination of the strong flavor, the texture.
It's different.
So, anyways.
On to our very last thing for the day.
Our last thing in Vietnam.
Here we go.
Yeah, I believe I did like it.
I'm the only one who liked it.
Okay, jump in the car.
Okay, we gotta cross this road.
Rebecca can carry it.
Okay, get Levi's hand.
Get Levi's hand.
Hi.
Two?
Two.
You wanna sit down, guys?
Where do you want to sit?
Right here.
The outside?
The banana.
Yeah.
The outside is made of glutinous rice flour.
The inside is made of glutinous rice flour.
Okay.
Okay, guys.
We're gonna share these.
It's grilled banana.
And then on the outside, they put a batter that's rice flour.
Glutinous rice flour.
And then it's in coconut cream.
And there's peanuts on top.
Wow.
Looks good.
Yeah.
I've been wanting to try this the whole trip.
What is this stuff?
I think tapioca pearls.
Yeah.
The rice?
Not sure about it?
It's weird.
It's like the banana's like...
It's not like a normal banana.
It's like grilled.
I think they grill it.
It's like sticking together and stuff.
You like it?
Yeah.
Peanuts.
You like that?
Better than...
Can I take more?
Yeah, go for it.
What do you think, Beth?
Becca?
Everything.
Just get what you got on your spoon and put it in your mouth.
A face or a bad face?
You're not sure about it?
We can be honest.
But it smells like durian.
What do you think?
You don't like it either?
You better stop eating because I want some.
We're in northern Vietnam.
We're in Da Nang.
I wanted to try this when we were in Vung Tau.
But we ran out of time.
So we're trying it in Da Nang instead.
I wasn't expecting the cream to be warm too.
That's really good.
I like that.
Why do you keep eating it if you don't like it?
I'm eating the yogurt stuff.
Ah, you like the tapioca.
Wait, let me...
So you agree with Levi that the pudding is good?
What did you think of it, Alex?
Honestly, I was expecting it a little sour.
But it's not.
Okay, okay.
Awesome.
So did you like it?
Yeah.
What did you think?
It was pretty good.
Awesome.
Banana-y, creamy.
Nutty.
Gotta love the plastic chairs.
Are you guys gonna miss the plastic chairs?
No.
They're letting a 200-pound fatty sit on one of these things.
And surprisingly, it's holding my weight.
So while we're talking about the chairs, while we were in Ha Long,
there was like a car accident, and I literally saw
the police officers that were writing up the incident report
with the people involved in the accident sitting at a table
on bright pink plastic chairs.
At a little table like this.
Little, teeny, plastic chairs.
It was such a funny sight.
They're all on the floor, writing up official documents,
sitting on bright pink, kids-sized plastic chairs.
Fist bump!
Jellyfish!
I sit on the chair properly and tip over.
That just cost us, for two bowls of it,
30,000 Vietnamese Dong, which is about $1.50 for both bowls.
And it was pretty good.
That was sarcastic.
It was actually really good.
I didn't know what to expect, but it was really good.
And almost all the kids liked it.
So I think that one was a win.
And Levi's still hauling his durian,
even though the taxis smell really bad because of it.
So hopefully they're not too mad at us.
Don't open it, dude.
Move on without you.
