Watch As My Dogs Help Decorate The Christmas Tree 🎄 In 2023!

Guess what we're doing today? We got all three dogs loaded up in the car. We're ready to go. Let's go pick out a Christmas tree. Let's do this! Look it! We made it to the Christmas tree farm. So, it's Dean's tree farm. That's where we're at. This is where we were last year. We're going to get a tree. I have to say, I love the fact that this tree farm let's us walk our dogs around and look at all the trees. This place is really cool because you can choose to either cut down your own tree or pick an already cut tree. So, we took the dogs and we walked around through all these trees and it was so much fun. You can see it just barely started snowing when we were there. I thought that was kind of festive and fun. The dogs really enjoyed checking out and sniffing all the trees and walking up and down the aisles. We did end up getting a pre-cut tree mainly because I couldn't figure out which tree we wanted from the tree yard lot. We loaded it up. They binder twined it together for us. We put it on top of the Jeep and we headed on home to decorate the tree. Is it time to bring the Christmas tree in? That Christmas tree that we went and got? What you think? Should we bring it in here? Should we bring the tree into the house? Put it right there. I think we should. What is that? That's where the Christmas tree goes. Memphis is like, this is mine. I own this now. That's where the Christmas tree goes. That's the Christmas tree's water bowl. That's not your water bowl. That is your water bowl. This one belongs to the Christmas tree. Here it comes. You gotta back up. We're pretty sure the tree is too big. It might be a little too tall. It also has a crooked base. Maybe we should have straightened it. Look out! You're gonna hit the ceiling. I'm just kidding. Well, I guess technically you are gonna hit the doorway. Girls are like, whoa! Eleanor is like, nope! I'm out. Don't you remember this from last year? Does it smell like that place we were? Just like last year. Touches the ceiling. That's ok. We got this. Look at that! Ta-da! The tree is done. See you later. Bye! Memphis is like, no ma'am. I don't think so. Does it smell so good? It smells like a Christmas tree! It sure does. I think it's just gonna come popping open. Let's see. We gotta cut all the twine. Pop this tree open. Eleanor, are you chewing on the twine? Or are you chewing on the branches? She's like, I'm chewing on everything I can. I guess I can just run around the tree. There you go. Run around. Eleanor is like, let me help you dad. Just give me one end of it and I'll run around with it. Cause this stuff is delicious. Do you think it's just gonna fall down when it's all done? I think it's gonna take a little minute. Memphis is like, whoa! What the heck is that? Memphis, you look so cute just sitting there. I'm helping. They're like, we are the best Christmas tree helpers ever. We're Santa's little helper. Ma'am, can I ask you what you're doing? Ma'am! What are you doing? She's like, I'm helping. I think it's pretty much fluffing out. Memphis is like, this is my tree. I'm gonna lay next to it all Christmas. Memphis has decided that she's in love with the Christmas tree. Kira has decided she's gonna use it as a water dish. You can't drink the water out of the Christmas tree bowl. It's not allowed. Kira's like, I don't know, maybe it is allowed. I'm pretty sure it's allowed. It's time to put the lights on the tree. Look at them helper dogs. Eleanor's like, huh? What if I go back this way? She's like, hey dad! What are you doing over here? Memphis is like, dad you got snacks? Kira's like, dad you got snacks? Eleanor still hasn't fully figured out what decorating the tree means yet. They're like, but this looks super fun. We're gonna go around the tree with the lights. Here she comes. There she goes. Kira's gonna cut you off at the pass. Yeah, we're the best helpers. Can you believe we've been doing this video since we started our YouTube channel? The very first time we did this was 2009. Oh, look at her standing. Look at her walking. Wow! That was really good. She's like, I'm a trick dog. Check me out. Look at you. Good job. Don't land on Memphis. Memphis is like, in case you didn't know dad, the treats are right here in your pocket. And I have one. You're such a good helper. Eleanor's like, this is my second Christmas. I know what I'm doing. I had Christmas last year. I figured all this out. Memphis is like, I've had a lot of Christmases. I know what I'm doing too. Are you following dad too? Oh, yeah. Get him. Get him. You can stop that truck. You can go stop that truck. Eleanor, what are you doing? She put her whole face in the tree. She's like, is that my tree topper? Oh, you're gonna bite it. Eleanor got your ball. That's our Shiloh tree topper. None of you ever met that dog. None of you ever did. That's our Shiloh tree topper. Yeah, we're gonna put it up on top of the tree. What do you think? She's like, hmm, let me check that out. Hmm, that's very interesting. Alright, it's going on top of the tree. I see them tipper tappers. Alright, on top of the tree, she's gonna go. Yes, we'll see. Ta-da! I always thought those lights on her were cool. Cause they like shine on the ceiling. And look like more than lights. There's our tree topper. I think the tree is... Almost done. We gotta put ornaments on it. And we gotta put our dog protective fence around it. So nobody chews on the tree. And as is tradition, the very first ornament that goes on to our Christmas tree is the one that represents the year. So this year is 2023. We have a 2023 ornament that we're putting on the tree. If you guys don't know, I actually have an ornament for every single year that Jamie and I have been married. I used to put them all on the tree, but you know, some of the dogs are a little bit chewy when it comes to ornaments. So this year, I did not put them all on the tree. But you may notice, that a lot of the ornaments on this tree are gone to the snow dog themed ornaments. If you do not know, most of the ornaments that you're seeing on this tree were actually sent to us from you guys. A lot of you guys during the Christmas card exchange send us ornaments and I try to keep them all and every year I try to put those ornaments on our tree to kind of give back to you guys and show you guys what you have sent us over the years.
