Big Snow Day in Northern Sweden Nordic Christmas Market

I love these days when there is so much fluffy, fresh snowfall. And suddenly I was surrounded by great tits and willow tits. So this afternoon we are driving to Schlefduhr because we're going to a Christmas market and apparently this is the 50th year anniversary of this market. And please do send me your voice notes. So far it's just Sylvie so let's see if we can get some more squirrels. Oh immediately who's that? Buddy! Come here! Good morning! Hi bud! It snowed! How are you? That's what you want. Oh you dropped it. Is it a big one? It has snowed so much. Welcome to vlogmas day seven. And you want to sit there. I can change up the whole angle for you. Oh my goodness look at the snow. Who is jumping? This morning as I was walking to the squirrel forest I was on the street about maybe 40-50 meters from this specific spot and I noticed a load of blue tits and great tits feeding on a birch tree and oh my gosh that was a bit close and I stopped to start taking photos and suddenly I was surrounded by maybe 10 or 15 great tits and willow tits and a willow tit even landed on my lens which just shows that they recognize me or the jacket or something because they knew I was coming here and then as soon as I was on the edge of the squirrel forest there were maybe 10 birds just around me sort of waiting for me to come in which was really nice and sweet. I love these days when there is so much fluffy fresh snowfall. Sylvie has been very naughty today. She has been chasing Rusty and the little female constantly today and this poor little female squirrel looked so depressed she just wanted some food. My evil half-brother is coming. Hi bud. Yep you've emptied it. There is nothing left. I'm sorry there's nothing more. You took all of the nuts. You're the only squirrel who had four hazelnuts. You're naughty okay. You've had plenty today. You're very gentle. That's very nice of you. Thank you for being gentle. Don't get annoyed at me. You have been the most spoiled squirrel today. You had four hazelnuts. This is a fun angle. I feel like I should dance here. Yes I think the cold has got to my head now so it's definitely time to go back home. It's so pretty. I love it. Seems like the squirrels have all gone home as well or maybe it's time to eat pinecones. It doesn't look as pretty but as you can see more snow is coming. So this afternoon we are driving to Schlefdur because we're going to a Christmas market and apparently this is the 50th year anniversary of this market. So it should be really nice and cozy. It is already 1 30 and it's a one hour drive to the city. So we're going to be getting there quite late but that's okay. We'll see what we find. I'm not really that interested in buying anything but just to see the stalls and all the handmade goods so I think it'll be nice. So we are in the city in a super cozy beaker shop and we've had a red beaker and an amazing blueberry cake. Buddy sent me his Christmas shopping bag. 20 bags of nuts. That must be like 25. Let's go. So I got these candle chimes and now we're just packing them. In Sweden all the supermarkets have packing stations and all of this is for free which is great. So my sourdough starter is ready. It has doubled in size. So now I'm going to make the dough and we will have fresh bread tomorrow morning. I forgot to set the scene. I can't believe this is vlogmas day 7. The week has gone by quite quickly and generally I would say that I'm now in a flow of making these videos. The first few days I think there's a lot of excitement so it was quite easy. During the middle of the week I was going to bed quite late and now I feel like I'm in a good flow with these videos. I still have many ideas and things that I want to film so I'm looking forward to the rest of vlogmas. In upcoming videos I'm going to do a house tour and discuss the before and after of owning this house after four years. And I also want to do a section about Christmas traditions but I would love to hear about your traditions. It doesn't have to be about a specific place or country. It could be within your family or just something that you do in your community. So I would love to hear about your traditions and you can send me voice notes. I felt it is important to take this opportunity. I follow you Danny and your squirrels a quite long time already. Pretty since your beginning. I love the calendar which I purchased last year for the first time. In everything you do is so much love and authenticity. I thank you so much for your work. In my childhood the time until Christmas always beginning with the 1st of December which is still a very special day to me. Over time of when we grow up we have and had to face many challenges. Some harder, some not as hard as others. The secret in my opinion is how we face them and so I could successfully let those good things which cheer up my heart endure over the years. Especially in the weeks before the holidays I observe unfortunately from year to year some things getting worse with the hearts and mindsets of many. I and my loved ones decided many many years ago to take ourselves out from stress, unkindliness, meaningless expectations and so on. We are equipped with a free will and have the opportunity many times daily how we decide. Long story short, so to say as a late appointed person I followed my heart and decided not very long ago to make funeral speeches and you inspired me to choose the squirrel as my animal for this business. I decided to integrate the Hungarian word for squirrel which is mokos into a fantasy name for this. In the last few days I was unfortunately very down because of very tough and major challenges. As you started your vlogmas things reached the peak for me which was costing me nearly everything what was left from my hope and power. The 6th of December was the worst day for me and as I watched the new video from you hearing that therefore realizing that there are so many people which want to reach similar things in life, focusing further on positive things rescued me and my soul, honestly. And this is why I decided to send you a honest and big thank you. Please do not let make yourself down from anybody and even if the path is lined sometimes with stones and build something beautiful with them.
