If your orchid is still alive but hasn't truly grown strong yet, weak roots, leaves not glossy,
flowers fade quickly. You know, you don't need expensive fertilizer, just this simple mixture.
Shallots and honey. It gently helps the plant, making the roots stronger and the leaves greener
and glossier. Don't leave because the most important part will be at the end of the video.
Before fertilizing, observe and clean the orchid first.
Remove torn, bruised, or waterlogged leaves immediately. The plant will be more ventilated,
reduce moisture, and limit fungal diseases. At the same time, cut off dried roots or damaged roots
that can no longer absorb. This cleaning helps the plant focus on nourishing the healthy parts
and limits the growth of fungal diseases. Which country are you watching the video from?

Next, I will start preparing the solution from shallots. I use about three shallots,
cut into small pieces so the nutrients can be released more easily into the water.
Then, put all the shallots into a clean jar. Next, I pour in about one liter of boiling water to help
quickly extract the natural active compounds from the shallots.
I will steep this solution until the water cools completely. After it cools,
I filter out the residue and keep the clear liquid for use.
Next, I add about half a liter of clean water to dilute the solution.
Then, I add one tablespoon of honey. Honey provides a light amount of nutrients,
helping nourish the plant gradually and safely. At the same time, honey also has natural
antibacterial properties, helping limit fungi and harmful bacteria on the roots and leaves.
And now, I will start using this mixture by misting. I put the solution into a spray bottle,
then lightly spray it over the entire surface of the leaves. When misting the leaves, the orchid
can absorb some nutrients directly through the leaf surface. On the leaves, there are small pores
that help with gas exchange and absorption of moisture. Therefore, when spraying this mixture,
the plant will be able to utilize this nutrient source more quickly.
At the same time, misting also helps clean the dust on the leaves.
When the leaves are clean, the plant absorbs light better and photosynthesizes more efficiently.
After misting, I will continue to lightly water the solution into the growing medium.
Watering at the base helps the roots absorb nutrients steadily and nourish the plant from
within. When the roots are healthy, the plant will grow better. The leaves will be thicker
and retain water better. I water a moderate amount so the solution evenly soaks down to the roots.
Limit excessive watering. Keep the growing medium dry and airy to avoid root rot.
Finally, I wipe dry the entire surface of the leaves.
If water is left standing for too long, this will be an environment where fungi and bacteria
can easily develop. Over time, it can cause leaf rot and even damage the crown of the plant.
Therefore, drying the leaves after spraying is a simple but very important step, helping the
plant stay healthy and stable. Therefore, drying the leaves after spraying is a simple but very
important step, helping the plant stay healthy and stable. After about 2-4 weeks of applying,
you will start to see clear changes in the orchids. First, the leaves become greener,
glossier, and thicker. Next is the root system. New roots begin to appear.
The root tips are green, growing strongly and extending out of the growing medium.
The root system becomes stronger, helping the plant absorb water and nutrients better each day.
When the plant is strong enough, it will begin to form flower buds. The flower buds become plumper,
fuller, and develop very evenly. And finally, when the flowers bloom, the petals become thicker,
the colors more vibrant, and full of vitality. All of these changes come from an extremely simple
mixture in the kitchen. Try applying it to your orchid and share your results in the comments.
