Tonight's starting lineups brought to you by Metro by T-Mobile. The Warriors
only have nine players available and six of them are undrafted. That includes
rookie LJ Cryer. This is a big night for Cryer. It's his first NBA start. Meanwhile
the Spurs have only had 12 different starting lineups compared to 39 for
Golan State and that starting five that they have put out on the floor have been
terrific. And of course as we mentioned you never know Nate Williams getting a
start another undrafted player Draymond Green. He's the second round pick at
least. As the Spurs with seven games to go and a lot of work to do back on the
road where they have excelled all season long. Draymond Green guarding Wim
Minyama. Castle gets inside goes back outside. Wimby on the drive bank shot
got it and a foul already a chance for a three-point play. Warriors getting
opportunities because of all the injuries. Cryer misses a second. What's it
like your first NBA start? You can't imagine the adrenaline. Yeah he's got to
be a little bit nervous but he's also I think been waiting for his entire life.
The cell sets the screen good help from Pachemsky. Fox on the move spins into the
paint turn around shot got it and it's already 10-0. Was it blocks? No that'll
happen someday soon. It will. Pachemsky and the Warriors get on the board.
Champagny slips. Castle gets inside. Castle lobs it up with an easy deuce for
Victor Wim Minyama. Already five rebounds for Wim Minyama. By the way he said
about Castle he's got to throw the lobs a little higher. They're still trying to
figure it out. Castle throws that one high enough and another easy two. Spurs
not suffering any letdown with all the missing players. Champagny knocks down a
three. It's 17-3 less than four minutes in. The first thing he thought when he
woke up this morning was yes it still feels good. So the plan now is for
Cleary to scrimmage against tomorrow. And if he continues to do that.
Fox goes inside layup is good. When you look at when you look at the
Golden State Warriors it does remind of an OKC team. Here's Harper. Oh nice
sidestep. Gets past Curry. Lays it up and in. The impressive rookie Dylan Harper's
first bucket. On a lot of teams typically that aren't playing for much he's going
to be starting as a rookie. Accepted a role and he's a future star and he knows it.
That move from Nate Williams and the crowd understands what he just did. Not
exactly going out on a limb are we? I'm not. I'm really not. I'm saying we're
marveling over it. I'm just telling people to get used to it. I agree. There's the block.
The NBA leader in shot blocking. That's probably going to be the case for the
next dozen years or so. Harper throws it up and Minyama throws it down just to
fingertips. Even got a little bump from Draymond Green. Oh what a start. Spencer
has done a really good job. Floats that one up and gets it a go. Signed a 10-day
contract and then signed one for the rest of the season. Luke Cornett out
tonight. Dylan Harper kicks it out in the corner. Johnson gets the three to go.
Some names that the casual NBA fan are not very familiar with. They're out
there trying hard. Nice defense that time from Leone's. Nate Williams able to
run it down. A little Eurostep and a bucket. There's Williams. Very aggressive.
Gets inside. Kicks it up top. Budzemski has an open look. Gets it a go. His second
three-pointer. Lead back up to a dozen as we hit the three-minute mark here in the
first. Budzemski lines up. Another shot. That one bounces around and drops through.
He's in double figures already. He's got ten. Budzemski's also been getting a lot of
rebounds in addition to all his scoring recently. Gets inside. Nice fake. Leone's shot is good.
Butler, of course, out. Moody with the surgery. Post, Melton, Porzingis, Peyton,
they're all out. Wendon Young lays it in with the left hand. Searching for an
opening to get a shot off. Shot clocked out of five. Stripped and stolen by Fox.
Throws it ahead. Beautiful pass. Champagney. Defense leads to offense for the Spurs.
They're back up ten. Carter Bryant has come on. Another impressive rookie for San
Antonio. Spencer working him. Now pulls away. Off one foot. Knocks it in. Second field goal for Spencer.
The best things about him. There was no favoritism. From the best player to the
player last on the roster. Another nice move from Nate Williams. Twelve points. Four boards.
Two assists for Budzemski. Putting together some really nice stretches of
game. Draymond Green knocks down the three. Monyama at the foul line. Smooth stroke.
Then it gets worn down at the end because their depth obviously not what
it is without all the key players out. Fox goes in the lane. Try with the right
hand. Good second effort from De'Aaron Fox. Just under 19 per game. Vassell gets inside.
And an easy two. Another beautiful pass. They've all worked on their lob passage
because the assist will rack up. Well, I actually saw one the other night.
Mikel Bridges did it for the Knicks the same thing. It was hard to believe. It's just a beautiful
pass. Harper lays it up and in. Nice move from Harper. See, the thing with the Warriors team,
they don't have anybody that can really dominate and break off the dribble. They can shot create.
They've got to run through their system, but Budzemski's the only guy that can break somebody
off the dribble and create. Harper gets inside. Count it. And a foul. Back up top. Cryer. Curry
off the bounce. Gets inside. Backs it home. Nice move from Seth Curry. He wanted that about waist
high. He was going to shoot a three most likely, but then he had to make an adjustment and beat
somebody off the dribble. Only his sixth game of the season. Various injuries. Fox from three-point
range. Curry finds some room. Mid-range. Got it. Fed on this team. Nate Williams rushed that a bit.
Barnes. Good defense. Quick outlet. Champenny surprised. Castle gets inside. Banks it home.
See, this is why I do what I do. Dillon Johnson misses. Castle gets the rebound.
Champenny fires away and knocks down the three. Green does a nice job tipping it. Will Richard
to Spencer. Right back to Richard. Inside. Banks it home. Beautifully executed fast break.
Wemby against Draymond Green. Giving him room to shoot. Makes him pay. 25 first half points for
Victor Weminyama. Will Chamberlain probably did it about a dozen times a couple of different seasons
as before, but still a magnificent accomplishment. Seth Curry lets it fly and gets it to go. Curry
doing a nice job shooting four of six from the field. That's distracting, but Curry stayed with
it. Castle. Corner to Johnson. His three-pointer's good. Kelvin Johnson. Second from long distance.
Leone's back up top to Spencer. Weminyama jumping, ready to block it before
Spencer went in the shooting motion. Curry knocks down another. Yeah, you forget just
how terrific he is from long distance. Pass inside. Weminyama catches and easily lays it in.
27 and 13 in just 17 minutes. Spencer gets inside. His jumper's good. At the buzzer.
A nice finish for Golden State. Pudzemski, Will Richard, Draymond Green,
and Nate Williams. Greyer getting his first NBA start. Green tries another three-pointer. Gets
that one to go. That's his second three. You know, like we saw at least with a lot of the great
players, you're going to hear the phrase first ever all the time when you're talking about games
he's had. Pudzemski kicks it out. Green spots. Checks his feet. Knocks down another three.
And you heard a slight groan when Draymond passed that basketball because he's already
hit three. He had a decent look, but saw Pudzemski open one pass away. Weminyama comes right back.
Knocks down his first three-pointer. Nate Williams gets inside. Wemby greets him on the double team.
Richard back up top. Shot clock winding down. Cryer high floater. It's good. 16-point lead for
San Antonio. Fox throws it over in the corner. And Castle knocks down a three. He is much improved
from three-point range. Now defenders don't have many options of what they can do. He's also slowed
down the open ones now. And as a result, I think in his last 10 games, he's 45%. But he's selective
when he takes them. We asked him, why don't you shoot that third one in a row? He said, I'm trying
to set an example to make sure that the young players know even if you hit a couple of shots
in a row, you still have to pass the open man. Plumlee back in. Again, no Luke Cornett. Keldon Johnson
spots up. Well short. Castle the rebound. Back up. Counted and a foul. You understand what you're facing
and you're just waiting for this team to try and give you some hope, something to cheer for
as Pudzemski gets another bucket. Some fancy footwork for Pudzemski. He's probably not happy
about that Duke-UConn game. Rolls around, drops in. Mitch Johnson has an angry look as he walks out
and calls timeout. And he has done a marvelous job. You can, he just has all the characteristics
of a great leader. And hit us with something very profound. I think we all kind of. LaSalle under
four to play here in the third. LaSalle, Leone's using the good hand. Comes up with a strip.
Layup won't go. A lot of contact. Spencer, the spin move.
And you're at seven right there. Lays it up and in. Well, and if you look at this team, the quality
of their team, you don't want to mess around. Your goals are bigger. If you can put these boys away,
and mainly that means bringing Wim Binyama back in the game. But if you can put these boys
away and sit in the fourth quarter, that should be their goal. Spencer pulls up. Jump shot rattles it
in. Wim Binyama kicks it back out. Barnes steps back, checks his feet, lines it up, and gets it
to go. Rolls around the rim. Harrison Barnes. Leone's hands it off. Now back up top to Cryer.
Under two minutes to go. Cryer launches a three and gets it to go. Cryer from downtown, his first
three-pointer. Leone's, you're at seven, a little floater. That's his first field goal. He's got
seven points, three boards. That's his first field goal. He's got seven points, three boards.
Back to 15. Wembley gets inside. The runner's up. Rolls off on a nice soft touch. Extends the
defense. You're at seven trying to hand it off. Will Richard able to get it? You're at seven against
Wim Binyama. Banks it home. Went right at him. On the drive. Nate Williams right at Wim Binyama.
On the second effort. Gets it to go. Couldn't buy one in the first half. Like I said, we put him on
the line a little bit too much. We're just proud of the effort. We gotta, we gotta figure out a
way to stop here and knock down a couple three balls. You're talking about 29 free throw attempts
through three quarters for San Antonio. Wembley hits another three-pointer. You're at seven.
That's what Wim Binyama does to people. Right there. Wembley with his 16th rebound. 37 points,
16 boards. Barnes. Boy, talk about no defense. Nobody came to help. He saw Wim Binyama out near
the perimeter like, I can shoot this one quick. Yeah, he also took a triple out to the perimeter
to get space. Wembley banks it home. Wembley just kind of flips it up, hoping to draw some contact.
Well defended that time. Nate Williams goes in and throws it down. Fox fighting. Harrison Barnes
lost the handle. Wembley right there to pick it up. His shot off the glass is good. 41 points for
the second straight game. He's got 41 tonight. LaSalle, good looking jumper there. He's had an
off-night shooting. That's his second field goal. Where did he go to school, Richard? I don't know.
Final course will most likely just judging by his talent and poise. Arizona Wildcat.
Castle for three. Six of them undrafted. Castle whips a pass. Barnes, corner three, got it.
Timeout, Steve Kerr, Harrison Barnes. Portland has the tiebreaker between those two. Champenny,
corner three, gets it a go. And this is now the largest lead of the night. He's in double figures.
Bryant's going to try his corner three. Barnes trying to tip it to himself. Oh, nice pass from
Spencer. Williams should have an easy one and throws it down. Boy, Spencer barely touched it
and threw it down the floor. Cryer gets that one. Yurts seven. On the follow and throws it down.
Yurts seven, 15 points. Harper on the follow, backs it home. Right now, Wonminyama on the bench
with a 41.18 rebound total. Most likely done for the night. Oh, great pass. Cryer and the foul.
But when you think about the impact that you could have, you know, whether it's a backup
point guard for certain stretches, Harrison Barnes with an opportunity for a four-point play. He knows
he's likely going to be on a minutes restriction. He said he's not going to try to be Superman,
but he also understands the sense of urgency to get some games under his belt before a potential
playing game. I'm excited about that OKC. Getting to watch the two leading scorers in the league,
Luka, Shea, going against each other. It's one of the hardest we've had in many years because
there's not just one or two. There's multiple that you could really make a claim that they
deserve to be MVP. No, I agree. That and the first-team All-NBA. Golden State will now fall
to four games under .500. And without Steph Curry, they'll now be 13-24. And that'll do it.
The winning streak is now 10 for San Antonio. Victor Wembenyama,
another brilliant performance. 41 points, 18 rebounds.
