Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I please ask the clerk to report House Committee Substitute Number One.
Mr. Clerk, please report House Committee Substitute One to Senate Bill 27.
Gentleman from Carter, move adoption. Motion made for the adoption of House Committee Substitute
One. Is there any discussion? Seeing none, all those in favor, please signify by saying aye.
All opposed, nay. Motion carries. House Committee Substitute One is adopted. Gentleman from Carter.
Senate Bill 27 as amended by House Committee Substitute Number One will allow fiscal courts
give them another option of cremation when we are dealing with indigent
burials. Currently, right now, burial is the only option. This is set up to have a 30-day period.
Next to Ken is not located. Court or fiscal court will have the option after consulting
with the appropriate parties for cremation. The committee sub made one change. It requires
any cremated remains to be interred. There are no questions. I move final passage of
Senate Bill 27 as amended by House Committee Substitute Number One.
