Hey guys, Sean with American Window Concepts.
Today's video, we're talking about the biggest window sales scam and how to not get caught
overpaying for your new window.
Let's talk about that.
Biggest window sales scam in my book is the hard pressure one call close.
That's what they call it.
These are the guys that come in and are not wanting to leave.
They're wanting to stay and get a signature and they are ballooning a price and they're
all of a sudden deflating the price.
That way, it creates a FOMO.
You really want to like, okay, if he leaves, the deal is no longer the same, the price
goes up.
It's a scam.
That's why I'm always telling you people, get more than one quote.
Don't just go with the first guy that comes into your house and is trying to sell you
the windows.
When they come in and say, what's it going to take?
What do you need?
What's the number?
Where do you want to be at so we can get this deal done today?
Just don't fall for that.
A lot of people, they feel anxiety.
You know, whenever they have somebody in their house, at a certain point, they almost want
to just sign just because they want to get you out of the house.
I get hate mail for this.
I don't care.
I want to protect the people who are doing their due diligence and getting multiple quotes.
Apples for apples, what are we looking at?
What is the difference between this and that?
What am I getting?
What is that dollar amount by me?
The biggest scam, in my opinion, is them coming in hard and pressuring you and there's still
a lot of people that fall for this.
And there's a reason for that.
Those salespeople are only motivated by that sale because that is what's going to get them,
you know, dinner on the table.
I get it to an extent, but for us, it always comes down to, let's just build that trust.
Let's make sure we're doing things the very right way, okay?
And that's just the way we do business.
And people kind of see how we are.
They look at our reviews.
They look at these videos and they get the idea.
They get that we're going to do a good job for them and that they're going to love their
windows.
We have options, just like everybody else.
We have options.
What can we do to make you feel comfortable, make sure you get the right window?
If you want to do business with us, great, we're happy to do it.
But do yourself a favor and make sure that you don't fall for the one call closer.
Just say, really appreciate you coming and showing us, you know, the options, but I'm
not ready yet.
We're still shopping.
And that's okay.
You can say that.
And if they say, well, this deal leaves with me, I'm sorry.
I guess that's the way it's going to have to be.
Trust me.
All of a sudden, they're going to call later on, maybe a day later and say, well, that
we could still honor that price or we could cut a little bit more off.
That's my thought process.
All right.
Hopefully this helps.
Make it a great day.
