Camping 2017 has begun! It's time for camping with dogs! Adventure huskies go camping! Our first camping trip of the year has finally arrived! We packed up the dogs and headed to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to be one of the first campers for opening weekend at Muskallonge Lake State Park. This is one of our favorite campgrounds in Michigan to take the dogs too. We had a wonderful time! To see MORE of our camping trip check out our vlogs over at http://www.youtube.com/snowdogsvlogs

Oh my goodness! Guess what we're doing today guys?
We haven't done this since last year.
Look it! Look it!
For those of you that are new to the channel...
You may not know this, but we enjoy camping with our dogs.
We're camping!
For those of you that are new, this is Memphis, this is Shelby, this is Oakley.
My name is Jess. This is our camper and we are camping at Muskellunge Lake State Park.
We are one of the first people here.
There's actually one other camper that showed up, that's way over there.
So, that makes us not actually first, we're second.
We can't, but whatever.
The campground opened yesterday.
We arrived last night.
So, technically we're first, right?
One of the first. Yeah! One of the first!
So, we know you guys really enjoy our camping videos.
I know! This is more of a relaxed camping trip.
We're not doing a whole bunch of crazy hiking or anything crazy.
Oh! Don't get tangled!
Um...
Before everybody asks the question, cause I'm sure some of you already are.
The line that the dogs are on.
This is a picket line.
The lines that come off the line are called drop lines.
The ones that they're actually attached to.
I got this picket line from AlpineOutfitters.net
I will put a link to the website plus a 10% off coupon code down in the video description below.
This is what we use to keep the dogs safe while we're camping.
No, we do not let them run around off leash while camping.
Because well, there's bears up here and raccoons and porcupines and lots of critters.
I would like to keep my dogs safe.
Not injured or lost.
Apparently, these two just want to play.
The dogs do sleep inside the camper with us at night.
They don't sleep out here.
What are you girls doing? You're crazy!
My drop lines are a little bit longer so that the dogs can still reach each other.
This is the same type of line that they use for sled dogs when they go racing.
But, usually they use a little bit shorter line so the dogs can't really reach each other so they don't get tangled.
But, since we always are out here monitoring our dogs, we use a regular drop line.
I know this is so cool, huh?
It's so cool, huh?
I know you want to go see Chipmunk friend. I totally get it.
I get it. I get it.
Alright, so...
Normally I walk the dogs on their harnesses.
But Memphis and I are just going for a short walk right now.
She keeps hearing Chipmunk friend.
There's Chipmunk friends.
Oh, there went one.
There's two over there.
There's Chipmunk friends all over the park.
See them over there?
See the Chipmunk friend?
You should have your harness on because you're going to try to pull me.
No!
We can't go get Chipmunk friend.
You can say hi.
But you can't chase him. Sorry.
So, not only is Chipmunk friend here.
There's a Chipmunk friend hole right there.
I believe...
See in the middle of the screen right there in that tree?
That might be a Chipmunk nest.
I don't know. Do Chipmunks make nests in trees?
Or in holes on the ground?
I'm not really sure.
Yeah, you see Chipmunk friend. I know you do.
We can't go play with them though.
I don't think you'll play as nicely as they want to play.
Alright, now we have proper gear on.
Everybody's got their harnesses on.
I have my walking belt.
Again, this is a skijoring belt.
These are urban mushing harnesses
from AlpineOutfitters.net
Links down below.
You guys ask me about them every time we use them.
They're super cool. They're custom made.
You can get custom colors.
Shelby needs a new one. I have to order her a new one this year.
Hers is quite old.
You can barely see it. You're so fluffy.
You guys always ask how I manage to walk
all three dogs by myself.
This belt. The skijoring belt.
It really helps.
And then the four foot leashes.
So we are going to go for a little walk around the campground.
More geese.
I think they're mad at you guys.
I don't think they like you guys.
We just want to go see the lake.
There they go.
Made it to the lake.
Of course, those two walk right in.
Oakley's like, not happening. I'm not doing it.
Isn't that water cold?
Isn't that cold?
They're like, we don't care.
The geese are still yelling at us.
This is Muskellunge Lake. I don't know if you can tell over there,
but there is still snow over there.
The geese are still yelling at you, huh?
So we just went for a fun walk and came back.
Oakley, for some reason, doesn't always like to lay on the mat.
She likes to lay on the grass.
Well, as you can see,
Shelby and Memphis are in the shade.
Oakley has her own umbrella.
I stuck it between the car and the camper this time.
So now she's in the shade.
You are one
spoiled rotten dog.
The differences and personalities
of the dogs absolutely cracks me up.
Oakley is sound asleep.
Shelby is awake,
but
she could probably fall asleep.
Then there's Memphis.
She's absolutely alert to everything that is going on.
She's looked towards every
chipmunk chirp. She keeps doing that.
Okay, I know he's over there.
There's gotta be a chipmunk over there.
Oh, I will see him.
I will find him.
My chipmunk honing skills.
She hasn't even like
put her ears to the side or anything.
She's completely alert.
Listening to everything.
She's such a curious dog.
Oh, see that?
She hears him.
Her little nose goes.
Oh, she heard one over there.
What happened Shelby?
Did you have an amazing
day today?
Did you check out chipmunk
friend and squirrel friend
and goose friend?
Now you
stole the bed as always.
There's Miss Oakley
all sprawled out on her bed.
Memphis was just hanging out
up here, but she moved down there.
I think she thought I was taking her back.
O-U-T-S-I-D-E
We are currently waiting to hopefully see
the northern lights.
Do you guys know
the story about
Huskies when they pass away?
How when the dogs cross over the rainbow
bridge.
Most dogs cross over
the rainbow bridge and they find all their other
doggy friends. Short version of
the story. Huskies are not happy there.
So they keep going north
and they travel and they travel
past all the border
collies out in the fields and they
keep going north and north and north
and north to where it's cold
and in the end of the story
I'll try to find a place to link to it down below
but in the end of the story it says
that they become
you're so cute
that they become
the northern lights
which
I don't know, always makes me smile
when I hear that story.
You got a scratchy nose.
Scratchy nose.
And this campground that we're at
was actually the last campground that we ever took
Shiloh camping at. So whenever we do
see the northern lights when we're up here
I don't know. Just always makes
me happy. I know it's weird that it
makes me happy. I don't know if happy
is the right word. You look like
you're smiling. What are you smiling?
So let's hope we see some northern lights.
Hey we're going to bed. Where are you going?
She's like I gotta
readjust. Get comfy. On the bed.
Go to bed. On the bed. Not on the floor.
Well
we caught some northern lights which I'm sure
you just saw and now it's like 1230
and we're going to bed.
Oakley, go back on your bed. We brought that
for you. Apparently Memphis is going to
snuggle up with Greg.
I think you got a snuggle puppy.
And Shelby over here
has decided to take our entire bed.
I'm pretty sure you have to share that space with us.
Alright you guys. Good night
Pawdience! We will see you
soon.
