Iran has rejected the U.S.'s proposal to end the war and submitted its own demands through Pakistan,
Iran's state-run IRNA news agency said. It recognized the need to end the conflicts and
safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz and included reconstruction and the lifting of
sanctions in the counter-proposal. According to IRNA, Iran emphasized the necessity of a permanent
end to the war while respecting Iran's considerations in the 10-paragraph response.
U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to destroy Iran's power plants and infrastructure
if Iran doesn't reopen the Hormuz Strait by 8 p.m. Tuesday Eastern Time.
Tuesday will be power plant day and bridge day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran.
There will be nothing like it, he wrote on Sunday in a social media post.
The president is set to hold a press conference on the Iran war and the successful rescue of a
missing F-15 crew member in a high-stakes operation in Iran.
