Can't Believe I Forgot such an IMPORTANT thing! | Solo Camping at a beach | PD Mayangsari Campsite

Oh so good. Okay June is not the end of the world. Oh my gosh. Hey guys how are you guys doing? Welcome back to my channel. Today I am camping at a beach. Haven't camp at a beach for quite some time but yeah this time around I felt the urge to come to a beach for camping Mainly for two reasons. Reason number one I just want to test out my rooftop tent at a beach and see how it you know performs and reason number two I've come to realize that I choose my campsite based on what I feel like cooking and eating and this time around I have this craving for grilled fish. Oh and then I started thinking about the ikan bakar, the grilled fish with sambal that I had a few months ago and I immediately decided okay I'm going to a beach for camping. So here I am and I am going to grill a fish tonight if the weather permits. Still got my So by the way this is PD Mayang Sari campsite in Pantai Bagan Pinang, Port Dickson. It's my first time here and I'm liking it. Something different about the vibe here compared to other PD beaches and it's amazing because I got a quiet little corner over there all to myself and it's a weekday so there are quite a bit of daytime crowd who are just here for the day for a day picnic and later on in the evening they'll all be gone so I think it'll be just me Looking forward to a nice sunset later. A little bit of noise from the traffic but it's Port Dickson, can't do anything about it. So my camp lot is named Farmy Village. Very shady and according to the campsite owner this little corner remains shaded throughout the day so that's a bonus and I've got my picnic table over here which is great. I don't have to use my small little flimsy table and the good thing about this this spot is that it's got a water source. You gotta tap water here. Very convenient. Also this campsite has just recently built a toilet so it's a brand new toilet and I'm about to show you guys. And we're supposed to wash our feet before entering so to prevent sand from clogging up the toilets. So we've got the gents and the ladies. Let's go shower and sit down toilets. Five of them and then open showers. This is amazing. What a great day. Beautiful. And we're gonna make ikan bakar. It's been months since I had ikan bakar, grilled fish with sambal. I don't know why I only feel like having seafood when I'm at the beach. Probably it's the saltiness in the air I guess. Makes the dining experience that much better. Oh man I forgot to score the fish. I guess it's never too late. Get it all in. Oh I am so messy. Okay and now we double wrap. I personally don't like to use aluminum foil because it's just so much waste. But I had no time to look for banana leaf today so this will have to do. All right there you go. I'm not having just fish today. I've got a big appetite tonight so I'm gonna make a side of tom yum soup. I've got the tom yum paste and some I've got some oyster mushrooms and ladies fingers. I'm gonna chuck all this into the soup. I still can't move on from this. It's this good old aluminum pot. Don't ask me why. I have no idea. Okay oyster mushrooms. If you guys are hearing music it's from the seafood restaurant just next door. I think they have a live band at night. I mean I could go check it out but I'm having an introvert feast tonight. There have been mixed forecasts of the weather tonight. I mean different weather forecast websites said different things so I don't know if it is gonna rain or if there's gonna be a storm tonight. But I can definitely see thunder and lightning in the distance at the horizon. So it may be coming this way. We don't know but just to be safe I am definitely not opening up my car side awning to prevent damage of the awning damage to the car and everything in between. Okay so I've chucked the pot and the fish over the coals and while waiting I'm gonna make a dip and it is a super yummy local style sweet soy sauce with chopped chilies and lime. This is limau kasturi. I don't know what it's called in English but it is a kind of lime that is super fragrant. Okay the tom yum is definitely ready. I'm gonna light up the tent. Just hanging out in my rooftop tent while waiting for the fish to be ready. Really beautiful out here. All right moment of truth. Okay okay oh it's a little bit burnt over here but over here is pretty good. I mean just a tiny wee bit burnt over here. Pretty good and it smells fantastic. Let's dig in. Tom yum is good. Oh so good. Unapologetically enjoying this. Let's try the fish with the dip. I'm in heaven. Oh no it's starting to rain. Moving beneath the tent. Yum yum in my tum tum. Drizzling right now. Having a party in this small little cute shelter beneath my tent. But the reason why I did not open up my car side awning is because I didn't want the awning to be against the wind, the sea breeze because lately the weather has been unpredictable and moreover it's monsoon season. So I don't want my car side awning to be against the strong wind because I don't want to risk damaging it. So yeah I'm using this car as a windbreaker and the rooftop tent opens up this way so that the door is not against the wind. So I'm not sure if I make sense. But yeah right after dinner I'm just gonna get a quick shower and then just get to bed. Don't forget to dust off all the sand before entering your tent. Good morning guys. So last night the live music from that restaurant next door went on till midnight 12 a.m. So I fell asleep quite late and even so I woke up quite a few times woken up by the sound of traffic you know random motorcyclist is speeding by at 2 a.m. 4 a.m. It was a really light sleep so I slept in a little bit. I think it's almost 10 a.m. now. Beautiful morning vibe. Time for coffee. Oh my gosh. Oh great. I forgot to bring coffee. Unbelievable. I'm not sure if you guys can see my invisible tears rolling down my cheeks. I've got this box of random instant drinks. Okay June it's not the end of the world. You can drink other things you know other than coffee. There's so many nice things other than coffee. Okay so I've got matcha latte. Oh cafe mocha. You know these are all my emergency drink. I've got green tea, plain green tea. Okay okay okay I think we've got we've got hope. I've got this instant instant microgram coffee. Okay there is now hope in life. So I just need to put a sachet of this into my cafe mocha. Cafe mocha with an extra shot. Yeah well not my top choice of coffee but this will do. This egg is bad. I better discard it. No better way to start your morning than having a big fat croissant with scrambled eggs, lettuce, mayo tuna and cherry tomatoes. Bon appetit. The good thing about this campsite is that the checkout time is 10 p.m the next day. So you practically have another half a day to take your time and relax and enjoy the place. Yeah I'm taking another nap. Life is good when you can have a series of naps. Just getting some work done, editing my next video. You know I can never brain how other youtubers out there who are able to churn out one video every week and in fact sometimes even two or three videos per week. I cannot do that. For me personally having a full-time job doesn't give you much time to actually do camping and editing. So I think as of now I can only manage a maximum of three videos per month.
